No full textIn the paper the author analyzes the critique of the Thomistic theory of natural law put forward by a German theologian Josef Fuchs. The question Fuchs seeks to answer can be formulated as follows: ᾿In what sense nature can be called the basis of morality?᾽ Fuchs distinguishes three possible meanings of the term „nature”:1) biological structure of man,2) the specific essence of a given human act (e.g. a sexual act),3) personal nature of man defined by his freedom and rationality.According to Fuchs, the Thomistic theory of natural law contains, at least in some of its modes of argumentation, an error called − after G. E. Moore − naturalistic fallacy. It consists in deducing normative conclusions from descriptive premises. Fuchs distinguishes three forms of this error. In the first form, biological laws are taken for moral norms. In the second, normative conclusions are inferred from the description of the specific essence of a given act. The third form of the same error can be called „theological fallacy”: it consists in not distinguishing between God᾽s creative will and God᾽s moral will.The present paper is focused on the distinction between different forms of the naturalistic fallacy objection. In his next paper the author will investigate to what extent this objection is valid as far as the structure of Thomistic ethics is concerned

No full textDer deutsche Ingenieur Paul Kelling arbeitet im Auftrag seiner Firma in einem Land im Innern Südamerikas. Die Kupfermine, in der Paul für die Technik verantwortlich ist, hat große wirtschaftliche Bedeutung für die Region und für die Stadt Santa Rosa. Laut einem Gutachten wird in dem Gebiet eine mächtige Erzader vermutet. Aber mit diesen Voraussagen scheint etwas nicht zu stimmen.
In Europa läuft der Krieg, den Deutschland entfesselt hat, auf Hochtouren, Frankreich ist besetzt, die Sowjetunion zu weiten Teilen erobert. Für die Juden in Deutschland hat die nächste Phase der Vernichtung begonnen. Josef Waldstein ist Teilhaber von Pauls Firma 'Schmitt & Waldstein' und außerdem sein Schwiegervater. Pauls Frau Esther wartet zu Hause in Dresden auf die Rückkehr ihres Mannes.
Während einer nächtlichen Schießerei hilft Paul dem Eingeborenen Ansit, einem Waldbauern, der mit seiner Familie und seinen Kameraden aus ihrem Dorf vertrieben wurde. Paul und Ansit werden Freunde. Ein alter Ex-General will eine paramilitärische Truppe aufbauen und versucht, Paul dafür auszunutzen.
Durch einen Zufall lernt Paul eine junge Frau kennen, die in Santa Rosa einen Laden mit Waren aller Art betreibt. Lydia ist eine attraktive, selbstbewusste, aber offenbar etwas schwierige Persönlichkeit.
Als Esther Kelling von einer Reise zurückkommt, findet sie in Dresden das Haus ihres Vaters Josef ausgeraubt, er selbst ist verschwunden. Verzweifelt macht sie sich auf die Suche nach ihm. Schließlich gerät sie in die Fänge des SS Hauptsturmführers Heinrich Francken, der ihr das Leben zur Hölle macht.

The aim of the thesis is to provide a monography about the new author of Czech prose ,whose monography hasn't been written up as of yet
