Chiara Lubich, Meditazioni: letteratura come relazione
Chiara Lubich (1920–2008), although the author of 32 books published in 26 countries (178 editions, 3.2 million copies), is better known for her social engagement, as reflected in numerous awards. She began to be regarded as a literary author only in the early 2000s, and primarily from a linguistic rather than literary perspective. This article focuses on her book Meditazioni (Meditations), reconstructs its genesis by tracing the writing process from the late 1950s to her death and the 2021 critical edition, and offers a literary analysis. This reveals Lubich as a forerunner of a new conception of literature: literature as relationship – not only between author and reader, but also among subject, inspiration, and the editorial process

Embodiment, Enaction and Culture is a volume edited by Christoph Durt, Thomas Fuchs and Christian Tewes, which collects contributions that contest a traditional way of splitting intersubjectivity, cultural sense-making and embodied dynamics. The editors extensively address the recent debates on collective intentionality, a topic that has rapidly advanced in the last two decades and constantly asks for a reconsideration of the shared world. Here, this theoretical framework intends to show that culture is not an imposed set of rules and traditions that only affect our explicit levels of experience, but rather a shared dynamics formed in a we-perspective, continuously and sometimes pre-reflectively modified by embodied patterns of interaction. The book edited by Durt, Fuchs and Tewes is then recommended to anyone interested in the current discussions on intersubjectivity and we-intentionality, and in the challenge of uncovering new aspects in the paradigms of embodiment

In this article the author offers an introduction to the life, thought, and impact of Chiara Lubich. He begins with a brief biographical overview and draws attention to some important features of her spiritual teaching: Jesus in the midst, Jesus Forsaken, Mary Desolate, the four nights. He draws attention to the Economy of Communion and as an expression of this spirituality in the world of business and economics, and to the figure of Chiara Luce Badano, a young adherent to the Spirituality of Unity who has been recognized as an example of how this spirituality can lead to holiness of life. From Canvas to Music: Mathematics as a Tool for the Composition of Jackson Time
The creation of ``Jackson time'' is a project which involves a composer, Davide Amodio, and
a mathematician, Chiara de Fabritiis.
Our common aim was to to ``translate'' a painting by Jackson Pollock, Summertime n. 9,
into a piece of music, making use of different mathematical tools to detect the quantities needed for the
composition. We were inspired by the idea that the painting itself contained some kind of inner--music,
due to the fact that Pollock's moves during the dripping on the canvas had a sort of rhythm, indeed they were often
described by witnesses as a dance.
This paper describes the mathematical background, in particular it illustrates both the analysis
of the painting which was carried out by the two of us and the choice of the mathematical techniques applied to
compute the parameters needed for the composition, which is due to the author. The reader will find a more detailed

This concerns an interview on the work of Chiara Bottici and more specific het book Imaginal Politics: Images Beyond Imagination and the Imaginary. Chiara Bottici is a philosopher and writer. She is Associate Professor of Philosophy at New School for Social Research. She is the author of Imaginal Politics: Images beyond Imagination and The Imaginary (Columbia University Press, 2014), A Philosophy of Political Myth (Cambridge University Press, 2007) and Men and States (Palgrave, 2009). With Benoit Challand, she also co-authored Imagining Europe: Myth, Memory, Identity (Cambridge University Press, 2013) and The Myth of the Clash of Civilizations (Routledge, 2010). She also co-edited the collection of essays The Politics of Imagination (Routledge, 2011, with Benoit Challand) and The Anarchist Turn (Pluto 2013, with Simon Critchley and Jacob Blumenfeld). Her short stories have appeared in Il Caffe illustrato, while her novel Per tre miti, forse quattro was published by Manni Editore in 2016
Trinitarian anthropology of Chiara Lubich
Die Dissertationsschrift hat zum Ziel, die Trinitarische Anthropologie bei Chiara Lubich darzustellen und zu analysieren. Dazu wird zunächst im ersten Teil der Studie die nötige Grundlage geschaffen, indem der aktuelle Diskussionsstand zur anthropologischen Frage im Allgemeinen und in der theologischen Literatur sowie in den Dokumenten des kirchlichen Lehramtes im Speziellen präsentiert wird. Auf dieser Hintergrundfolie wird im zweiten Teil das Gedankengut Lubichs in den Blick genommen. Nach einer Einführung in die Person und das literarische Werk der Autorin wird ihre spezifische Methodologie ergründet. Im letzten Kapitel werden die wichtigsten Inhalte der Anthropologie Lubichs genauer analysiert, um so aufzuzeigen, dass dieser zurecht das Attribut ‚trinitarisch‘ zugeschrieben werden kann.In Lubichs Gesamtschau der Wirklichkeit, der eine trinitarische Ontologie zugrunde liegt, werden in vier Punkten spezifische Inhalte ihrer Lehre des Menschen ans Licht gehoben. 1. Das Sein des Menschen ist Christus, was in trinitarischer Sicht in neuer Bedeutungstiefe erfasst wird. 2. Das Gebot der gegenseitigen Liebe (Joh 15,12f.), die gelebte trinitarische Liebe, ist das Herz der Anthropologie Lubichs und zeigt als solches ein neues Verständnis des Menschen als Imago Trinitatis. 3. Die christologische Mitte ist in Jesus dem Verlassenen zu finden, der sich als Schlüssel zum gesamten theologischen und anthropologischen Denken der Autorin erweist. Jesus der Verlassene erschließt das Geheimnis Gottes als trinitarische Liebe, er ist der Kulminationspunkt ihrer Christologie und der Schlüssel zum trinitarischen Menschen. 4. Am Begriff der ‚Trinitisierung‘ (ein Neologismus Lubichs) wird schließlich der eschatologische Mensch untersucht. Fazit: Als Überschrift und Zielpunkt der anthropologischen Lehre Chiara Lubichs steht: Trinität sein. Das ist gemäß ihren Schriften Wesen und Berufung des Menschen.The aim of this doctoral thesis is to illustrate and analyze the Trinitarian Anthropology of Chiara Lubich. The first part of the study lays the required foundation by presenting the status quo of the discussion regarding the anthropological question in general and specifically in the theological literature as well as in the documents of the ecclesial magisterium. On this background the thesis draws attention to the thought of Chiara Lubich. Having introduced the person and the literary output of the author, this study explores her specific methodology. In the final chapter, the most important dimensions of the anthropology of Chiara Lubich are analyzed more closely in order to demonstrate that it can justly be assigned the attribute “trinitarian”.In Lubich’s worldview, which is based on a trinitarian ontology, four topics are emphasized: 1. The essence of the human being is Christ; this is captured from a Trinitarian prospective in a new depth of meaning. 2. The commandment of reciprocal love (Jn 15.12f) understood as the living out of the Trinitarian love is the heart of Lubich’s anthropology and demonstrates as such a new understanding of the human person as Imago Trinitatis. 3. The Christological Centre is to be found in the Forsaken Jesus, which proves to be the key of understanding to the whole theological and anthropological thought of Chiara Lubich. The Forsaken Jesus unlocks the mystery of God as trinitarian love, He is the culmination point of Chiara Lubich’s christology and the key to the trinitarian human person. 4. The eschatological human being is analyzed using Lubich's neologism "trinitization“. The conclusion: The point of arrival of the anthropologic teaching of Chiara Lubich is: To be trinity.
