Transformation of the Traditional Rice Mill-A Case Study on Yuan Fu Shun Rice Mill
[[abstract]]Domestic rice industry encounters some problems recently, such as market opening, and rice consumption decreasing. Because government subsidies and farmers’ association is active in the innovation, the introduction of new farming concepts is led into Taiwan. Those new ideas re-integrate rice industry, and enhance the value of rice. This research tries to re-define the value of rice by the transition of rice industry, and create a whole new idea about rice culture.
There is little investigation in transition of rice industry so that this research chooses TNG 71 as case study. Besides other related information about rice, hope to find an opportunity of innovation and new marketing for rice industry by this interview.
This research demonstrates the connections of every layer in Yuan Fu Shun Rice Mill via a thorough interview. After investigating, even though most rice mills are given the subsidies, it is not enough to assist rice industry. Therefore, it is important to control the quality of rice, and building one’s own brand in rice industry
Going Beyond Counting First Authors in Author Co-citation Analysis
The present study examines one of the fundamental aspects of author co-citation analysis (ACA) - the way co-citation
counts are defined. Co-citation counting provides the data on which all subsequent statistical analyses and mappings
are based, and we compare ACA results based on two different types of co-citation counting - the traditional type that
only counts the first one among a cited work's authors on the one hand and a non-traditional type that takes into
account the first 5 authors of a cited work on the other hand. Results indicate that the picture produced through this non-traditional author co-citation counting contains more coherent author groups and is therefore considerably clearer. However, this picture represents fewer specialties in the research field being studied than that produced through the traditional first-author co-citation counting when the same number of top-ranked authors is selected and analyzed. Reasons for these effects are discussed
Variations on the Author
“Variations on the Author” discusses two of Eduardo Coutinho’s recent films (Um Dia na Vida, from 2010, and Últimas Conversas, posthumously released in 2015) and their contribution to the general question of documentary authorship. The director’s filmography is characterized by a consistent yet self-effacing form of authorial self-inscription: Coutinho often features as an interviewer that rather than express opinions propels discourses; an interviewer that is good at listening. This mode of self-inscription characterizes him as an author who is not expressive but who is nonetheless markedly present on the screen. In Um Dia na Vida, however, Coutinho is completely absent form the image, while Últimas Conversas, on the contrary, includes a confessional prologue that moves the director from the margins to the center of his films. This article examines the ways in which these works stand out in the filmography of a director who offers new insights into the notion of cinematic authorship
Appropriate Similarity Measures for Author Cocitation Analysis
We provide a number of new insights into the methodological discussion about author cocitation analysis. We first argue that the use of the Pearson correlation for measuring the similarity between authors’ cocitation profiles is not very satisfactory. We then discuss what kind of similarity measures may be used as an alternative to the Pearson correlation. We consider three similarity measures in particular. One is the well-known cosine. The other two similarity measures have not been used before in the bibliometric literature. 我國大學院校成人教育之研究
[[abstract]]本研究目的在於探討國內外有關大學成人教育的發展與實施現況,並調查國內目前大
學成人教育辦理人員、及成人學生的意見,藉以提出改進我國大學成人教育的建議。
本研究方法採用文獻探討與實證調查二方法進行。文獻部分首重歐美日等先進國家大
學成人教育觀念與推動情形的引介與啟發,再論及我國大學成人教育的歷史沿革與現
況;實證研究部分則以編者自擬問卷,以大學院校成人教育的辦理人員及成人學生共
1375人為對象,調查他們對於大學成人教育有關方面的看法,並將回收資料以百分比
及卡方考驗進行統計分析。
根據文獻分析與實證調查的研究發現,獲致以下結論與建議:
一.結論部分
(一).我國對大學成人教育未予重視。
(二).大學成人教育的相關法令欠缺。
(三).我國大學成人教育專責單位未普遍設立。
(四).政府未支持大學成人教育經費。
(五).課程的開設未依對象設計。
(六).實施方式未符合成人的學習特性。
(七).大學對成人學生的支持措施有待加強。
(八).大學對成人教育人員專業化不足。
二.建議部分
(一).導正大學成人教育的正確觀念。
(二).頒訂週詳的法令以導引大學成人教育的發展。
(三).設立較高層次的專責單位。
(四).政府應提供經費上的支持。
(五).課程應做有系統的規劃。
(六).課程與教學應掌握成人的學習特性。
(七).授課時間及地點的安排應具彈性。

[[alternative]]A comparison of the preferences between adult college students
[[abstract]]本研究以我國大學成人學生與傳統學生為研究對象,進行學生所偏好的教
學型態問卷調查,旨在探討大學成人學生與傳統學生在教學型態偏好的差
異,以供我國大學推廣教育相關單位未來規劃大學推廣教育教學活動及成
人教師教學時之參考。為達上述目的,首先進行有關文獻及相關研究的探
討,分析成人學生與傳統學生社會人口學變項及學習行為上的差異、探討
影響教學型態偏好的因素,以做為本研究的理論基礎。其次,參考國外學
者的研究工具,參酌國情發展出「教學型態偏好問卷」以為本研究之工具
。繼而對台灣師大、高雄師大、彰化師大、台中師院、台灣大學、淡江大
學、中正大學、中國醫藥學院、逢甲大學、東海大學、靜宜大學、文化大
學、中原大學、世新學院、中山大學、政治大學、及銘傳學院等十七所兼
辦大學推廣教育之大學院校22歲以下的日大傳統學生及23歲以上的推廣教
育成人學生進行調查。調查實施結果回收有效問卷,成人學生672份,傳
統學生786份,全體計1458份,經統計分析結果,獲致下列結論:一、參
與大學推廣教育的成人學生,以年在23至40歲者居多。二、成人學生偏好
的教學型態為「獨立學習」,其次為「討論教學」,最後是「教師中心的
教學」。三、傳統學生偏好的教學型態為「討論教學」,其次為「同儕教
學」,不喜歡的是「教師中心的教學」。四、成人學生對各教學型態偏好
的喜好程度均較傳統學生高。五、年齡對教學型態的偏好,具有影響力。
六、性別與科別對教學型態的偏好,具有影響力。根據結論提出下列建議
,以供發展與改進我國大學推廣教育之參考。一、改進教學之建議。二、
對大學推廣教育未來開設課程之建議。三、廣設學習資源中心,以協助成
人獨立學習。四、對進一步研究之建議。
Dispelling the Myths Behind First-author Citation Counts
We conducted a full-scale evaluative citation analysis study of scholars in the XML research field to explore just how different from each other author rankings resulting from different citation counting methods actually are, and to demonstrate the capability of emerging data and tools on the Web in supporting more realistic citation counting methods. Our results contest some common arguments for the continued
use of first-author citation counts in the evaluation of scholars, such as high correlations between author rankings by first-author citation counts and other citation
counting methods, and high costs of using more realistic citation counting methods that are not well-supported by the ISI databases. It is argued that increasingly available digital full text research papers make it possible for citation analysis studies to go beyond what the ISI databases have directly supported and to employ more
sophisticated methods

[[abstract]]本研究旨在探討我國大學成人學生及傳統學生之學習特性,並進一步比較
二者間的差異,以供大學辦理成人教育之參考。為達此目的,本研究採文
獻探討及問卷調查法,並發展編製「學習者學習特性調查問卷」為研究工
具,針對台灣大學等十五所大學年滿23歲的成人學生及18至22歲的傳統學
生,進行調查。有效樣本數為1311人。調查所得資料經卡方考驗、t考驗
、單因子變異數分析、雙因子變異數分析等統計程序,獲得下列結論:1
.我國大學成人學生傾向於「成人學習特性」。2.我國大學傳統學生整
體上傾向「傳統學習特性」,但在「學習困難」、「學習方式」及「學習
偏好」等層面,傾向成人學習特性。3.我國大學成人學生較傳統學生有
更積極的學習動機、認真的學習態度、期望學習能與其過去的經驗互相聯
結、其學習困難較少。4.我國大學成人學生及傳統學生皆偏好彈性、非
教師指導的學習方式,多樣化、可選擇的評量方法及在學習時,需要教師
的鼓勵及支持。5.性別、年齡、科別、教育程度、課程類型等因素,對
學習特性具有影響力。
