    Andrew Van Sante Fox, L.L.B. Elizaville, Kentucky -The Kentuckian, 1930-------------------------------- Andrew Van Sante Fox (December 23, 1905 - December 28, 1977) was born in Elizaville, Kentucky to Claiborne Fox and Emma Van Sante. Fox practiced law in Maysville, Kentucky. Fox served as Maysville City Prosecutor in the early 1930s. In 1933, Fox\u27s parents died under mysterious circumstances in a house fire. Fox was charged and later acquitted of murder in his parent\u27s deaths. After his acquittal, he continued to practice law in Maysville until his death. Fox was married twice--his wives were Lenora Thomas (m. 1929, d. 1930) and Edna Robertson (m. 1936).https://uknowledge.uky.edu/klapp_1930/1001/thumbnail.jp

    Father Andrew Mullen 1790-1818: a study in early nineteenth century spirituality

    This thesis is laid out in three parts: Part I. The life and death of Andrew Mullen. The life is based, to a large extent, on a long letter to his mother, Catherine Mullen, dated 7 January 1810. The letter gives a definite insight into his spirituality based on his membership of the Archconfraternity of the Blessed Sacrament. There is a hint that he had a premonition of an early death. Part II. The burial of Andrew Mullen and the immediate cult to him This is based on documentary evidence. Part III. Most of this part is a catalogue of testimonies taken from 1993 onwards. Then there is the conclusion on the popular devotion to Andrew Mullen stressing the theological aspect of the subject. In the course of writing the thesis it was decided to separate the documentary evidence from the oral tradition. This was advantageous in developing the thesis, and the documents provided a secure basis for the oral tradition. Two pieces of information were found in March 1997. They are death notices: 2 January 1819, The Leinster Journal and 7 January 1819, The Car low Morning Post. There is a slight discrepancy between the two on the date of his death. Also this discrepancy shows a slight difference from the date of the tombstone

    Going Beyond Counting First Authors in Author Co-citation Analysis

    The present study examines one of the fundamental aspects of author co-citation analysis (ACA) - the way co-citation counts are defined. Co-citation counting provides the data on which all subsequent statistical analyses and mappings are based, and we compare ACA results based on two different types of co-citation counting - the traditional type that only counts the first one among a cited work's authors on the one hand and a non-traditional type that takes into account the first 5 authors of a cited work on the other hand. Results indicate that the picture produced through this non-traditional author co-citation counting contains more coherent author groups and is therefore considerably clearer. However, this picture represents fewer specialties in the research field being studied than that produced through the traditional first-author co-citation counting when the same number of top-ranked authors is selected and analyzed. Reasons for these effects are discussed

    COL Wesley Fox enlisted in the Marines on 4 August 1950 and served two tours with the 1st Marine Division in Korea. Commissioned a 2nd LT in 1966, he was first assigned to the 2nd Force Reconnaissance; he subsequently had numerous other assignments during his long and distinguished career. His many decorations include the Medal of Honor and the Purple Heart
