En este trabajo se ha colaborado con varias oficinas del Ministerio de Educación, el Consejo Nacional de Educación y organizaciones de la Sociedad Civil, principalmente la Sociedad Peruana de Síndrome de Down, a quienes queremos agradecer su apertura y activismo en una causa que es de creciente importancia en el país

No full textLa déformation introduite dans le matériau par les procédés de forgeage à froid peut être considérée comme un type de pré-déformation, appliquée avant l’utilisation en fonctionnement du composant. Cette déformation modifie le matériau, en introduisant écrouissage et contraintes résiduelles. Les caractéristiques mécaniques du matériau en sont donc modifiées, ainsi que la dureté et la microstructure. De plus, la surface du matériau est affectée, l’extrusion permet d’obtenir par exemple un très bon état de surface (Ra = 0,1 à 0,5μm) [Caminaga et al., 2007]. Les modifications que subit le matériau dépendent des conditions de forgeage : taux de corroyage, forme de la matrice, type de lubrification… Le pivot de direction présenté en figure 1 est un exemple de pièce extrudée à froid. Seules les zones fonctionnelles du composant ont été usinées (gorges, rotule...), le reste de sa surface a été laissée brut de forge. Le composant présente plusieurs réductions de sections consécutives. Ces réductions de section témoignent des différents niveaux de prédéformation introduits lors de la mise en forme. Les caractéristiques mécaniques et la tenue en fatigue dépendent de l’intensité de cette prédéformation, et donc de la réduction de section (aussi appelé taux de corroyage)

No full textThis archive consists of images from a historic building recording survey by South West Archaeology Ltd, of The Old Forge, Monkokehampton, West Devon, in June 2020.The Old Forge is a traditional cob-built Devon building that is of considerable architectural and historical interest. The surviving phases of lateral stack and the forge structures represent a complex and layered domestic and working narrative, however the building has been compromised by repairs during the later 20th century following a devastating fire which resulted in the loss of most of the western elevation and the roof. A lack of maintenance and poor-quality modern repairs have since led to a significant risk to the historic integrity and the structural cohesion of the building. The conversion of the building will ultimately ensure its long-term survival

No full textWithin large-scale experimental datasets a wealth of small scale information can typically be found. An example of such an experiment is the Large Scale Gas Injection Test (Lasgit). A toolkit has been developed to facilitate the investigation of the small scale or ‘second order’ detail contained within Lasgit’s dataset. Forge Group Ltd case study (A): the revealing nature of numbers
No full textForge Group Ltd, an engineering and construction company in Australia, was a healthy company that acquired two major construction contracts in 2012 through the purchase of another company. The case presents details of a corporate collapse that occurred at the beginning of 2014. Twelve months prior to the Forge Group Ltd (FGL) collapsing, the company was viewed very favorably by the market and reached a peak share price. The financial statements illustrate the danger of acquisitions, risk, and debt, as well as the need for good internal reporting.
The value to students and educators is in illustrating the importance of good fundamental financial basics. The case can be taught at the basic level by having students read, extract, and comment on financial statement information. Or it could be widened at the intermediate level by asking students to combine information from all financial statements to appraise working capital requirements. For advanced-level courses, students would conduct financial statement analysis using common techniques and make judgments. This case also can be teamed with its sister case B to explore more advanced topics, including corporate governance, management ownership, compensation, risk, and ethics
