No full textThe phenotypes of the Cp and Hp serum polvmorphisms were de¬termined on a total of 22 Macaca fuscata fuscata.
For the Cp types a single band was observed with a fast mobility in respect to the human Cp B band.
Referring to the Hp system for some samples, in addition to the usual single band corresponding to the human Hp 1-1, one additional faint band which migrated in the approximate position of the slower¬moving human Hp 2-1 band was observed.
Such a result is discussed

No full textLa posizione geografica e il ruolo politico della città, nell’isola più grande e baricentrica del bacino del Mediterraneo occidentale, hanno fatto di Palermo un naturale crocevia di genti e culture di diversa origine, nella sua storia millenaria. La compagine urbana ha pertanto assunto una connotazione multietnica, costante ma mutevole nelle sue componenti nel corso del tempo, tornata oggi di evidente attualità. Questo contributo si propone di inquadrare tale connotazione della capitale siciliana in un arco cronologico di circa un secolo - coincidente con i regni di Alfonso il Magnanimo, Giovanni II e Ferdinando il Cattolico, momento cruciale nella transizione dal medioevo all’età moderna - e attraverso il filtro offerto dai mestieri della costruzione e dal cantiere di architettura. L’ambito cronologico e tematico prescelto offrono testimonianze documentali e materiali di convivenze e confronti dialettici tra individui e piccole comunità di diversa provenienza, che hanno contribuito a definire assetti e aspetti della città di Palermo in parte ancora oggi osservabili
Going Beyond Counting First Authors in Author Co-citation Analysis
Full text linkThe present study examines one of the fundamental aspects of author co-citation analysis (ACA) - the way co-citation
counts are defined. Co-citation counting provides the data on which all subsequent statistical analyses and mappings
are based, and we compare ACA results based on two different types of co-citation counting - the traditional type that
only counts the first one among a cited work's authors on the one hand and a non-traditional type that takes into
account the first 5 authors of a cited work on the other hand. Results indicate that the picture produced through this non-traditional author co-citation counting contains more coherent author groups and is therefore considerably clearer. However, this picture represents fewer specialties in the research field being studied than that produced through the traditional first-author co-citation counting when the same number of top-ranked authors is selected and analyzed. Reasons for these effects are discussed
