NOCICEPTIN/ORPHANIN FQ RECEPTOR LIGANDS: PHARMACOLOGICAL STUDIES
The neuropeptide nociceptin/orphanin FQ (N/OFQ) selectively binds and activates the
N/OFQ peptide (NOP) receptor. At cellular level N/OFQ inhibits cAMP accumulation and Ca2+
conductance and stimulates K+ currents. N/OFQ regulates several biological functions both at
central (pain, locomotion, memory, emotional responses, food intake) and peripheral (airways,
cardiovascular, genitourinary and gastrointestinal systems) sites. Potent and selective NOP ligands
are now required for investigating the roles played by NOP receptors in pathophysiological studies
and for firmly defining the therapeutic indications of NOP receptor ligands.
A novel assay to screen NOP receptor ligands has been validated with a large panel of
ligands: the Gaqi5 chimeric protein has been used to force the NOP receptor to signal through the
Ca2+ pathway in CHO cells. [Ca2+]i levels were monitored using the fluorometer FlexStation II.
Data are in general agreement with classical Gi driven assay systems.
The NOP peptide partial agonist, ZP120 was extensively characterized in vitro using
electrically stimulated isolated tissues (mouse and rat vas deferens) and in vivo with the tail
withdrawal assay. The selective involvement of the NOP receptor in the actions of ZP120 has been
demonstrated in NOP(-/-) mice studies.
A detailed pharmacological characterization of the recently identified non-peptide antagonist
Compound 24 has been performed. Moreover in the context of a SAR study on Compound 24, a
novel NOP ligand named Compound 35 was identified. Compound 24 and Compound 35 bound the
human recombinant NOP receptor expressed in CHOhNOP cell membranes with high affinity (pKi
values 9.62 and 9.14, respectively). Our findings derived from functional studies on CHOhNOP and
bioassay studies on native receptors demonstrated that Compound 24 and Compound 35 behave as
potent, competitive and selective non-peptide NOP antagonists. Finally, the NOP antagonist
properties of Compound 24 have been confirmed in vivo in the mouse tail withdrawal assay

Ash-Shuo'a" the UNDIVIDED by Imam Omar Bin Abdulaziz Al-Boukhary in the Hanafi School
This research treating a study and investigation of the book titled "Ash-Shuo'a" THE UNDIVIDED by Imam Omar Bin Abdulaziz Al-Boukhary in the Hanafi school. It contains an Introduction and two chapters, the introduction displays the reasons for choosing the research title, it's important, the previous studies, its objectives, its methodology and the abstract. The first chapter: the theoretical contains two themes. The first identify the author, the second identify the investigated book. The second chapter: the investigation which includes the methodology followed in the investigation of manuscript, the photos and the investigation of the book. Finally, I have showed the most important results and recommendations. Also, I mentioned the index of resources and references used in study and investigation
Musical Instruments in Al-Jahiz
في كتابات الجاحظ، تناول أديب العرب الجاحظ قضايا الموسيقى والطرب والغناء. كان الجاحظ معروفًا بعلمه وأدبه، وكتب العديد من الأعمال التي تسلط الضوء على جوانب الحياة المترفة في المجتمع. كتب كتابًا بعنوان "أخلاق المغنين" وآخر بعنوان "المغنين والغناء والصنعة". في هذه الكتب، دافع الجاحظ عن الغناء كفن فني، ورأى أنه يمتلك قواعد وأسسًا علمية تشابه مع غيره من الفنون والآداب. كان يروج للغناء باعتباره متعة فنية. وعلى الرغم من انتمائه للمعتزلة، إلا أن الجاحظ كان مشجعًا للغناء ومغنين، وكتب عن أخلاقهم وفنونهم. وفي رسالته "القيان"، تناول الجاحظ تأثير بيوت القيان والقيان نفسهن في المجتمع الإسلامي، حيث أشار إلى الفسق والعشق والفجور الذي قد ينتج عن هذا التأثير. بشكل عام، تركت كتابات الجاحظ أثرًا مهمًا في فهمنا لثقافة الموسيقى والطرب والغناء في العصور القديمة.In his writings, the Arab author Al-Jahiz addressed issues related to music, Tarab (a genre of music), and singing. Al-Jahiz was known for his knowledge and literature, and he wrote numerous works that shed light on the luxurious aspects of society. He authored a book titled "Ethics of Singers" and another titled "Singers, Singing, and the Craft." In these books, Al-Jahiz defended singing as an artistic form and believed that it possessed scientific principles and foundations similar to other arts and literature. He promoted singing as a pleasurable art form. Despite his affiliation with the Mu\u27tazila school of thought, Al-Jahiz was a supporter of singing and singers, and he wrote about their ethics and arts. In his treatise "Al-Qiyan," Al-Jahiz discussed the influence of courtesans and their households on Islamic society, pointing to the immorality, passion, and vice that may result from this influence. Overall, Al-Jahiz\u27s writings have had a significant impact on our understanding of music, Tarab, and singing in ancient times
Allenare: principi metodologici per l’allenamento nello sport e nelle attività motorie
“Allenare” rappresenta una raccolta di definizioni, metodi e suggerimenti didattici
utili per chi studia o già opera professionalmente nel campo dello sport e delle
attività motorie. L’impostazione didattica e descrittiva del testo, mette a disposizione
del pubblico occasioni di riflessione e di comparazione tra teorie e metodi proposti
dai più conosciuti autori del settore. I temi trattati non sono esaustivi dell’ampio
terreno di studio dell’ “allenare” ma rappresentano però il punto di partenza
“obbligatorio” per chi si cimenta in questo ambito culturale e lo fa con obiettivi
educativi, tecnici e sportivi in senso stretto o con lo sguardo al benessere psicofisico
del praticante. Il materiale messo a disposizione introduce il lettore ai principali
temi del processo dell’allenamento; vengono descritti così temi riguardanti il carico,
i mezzi e i metodi di sedute singole o multiple, e vengono trattati attualissimi temi
di rilevanza educativa, come l’allenamento giovanile, e di rilevanza tecnica, come
l’allenamento con pesi. Una menzione particolare meritano i capitoli (miscellanee)
sugli sport e il capitolo sul Mental Training. Le due miscellanee sugli sport hanno
lo scopo di calare il lettore in alcuni esempi, scelti dall’autore, per poter verificare
e sperimentare il concetto di “mezzo per l’allenamento” descritto nella parte
metodologica. Il capitolo sul Mental Training descrive sinteticamente le metodiche
ad oggi più diffuse e più studiate, “alla portata” del contesto dove opera l’Allenatore
o l’Educatore Fisico. Anche questo capitolo non ha pretesa di essere esaustivo di un
ambito così vasto come la preparazione mentale, in forte evoluzione scientifica ed “Allenare” rappresenta una raccolta di definizioni, metodi e suggerimenti didatticiin fase di ampia diffusione applicativa, rappresenta comunque un inquadramento descrittivo necessario come base per ulteriori approfondimenti rivolto a coloro che nel corso degli studi hanno già conseguito conoscenze basilari di psicologia da applicare agli sport
