No full textAt the end of 2010, discussions began on WebRTC, a real-time communication protocol in the browser.Very quickly, Google makes its version of WebRTC accessible to all users of its browser. A complete, efficient and free implementation. This technology is now accessible to a large number of developers and many new videoconferencing solutions emerge.In 2015, RENATER offers RENdez-vous, a new WebRTC-compatible service. This service for Higher Education and Research is based on Jitsi-Meet, an open-source video conference project.Nine years after work began on the WebRTC standard, version 1.0 of the API browser has still not been finalised. The various RFCs supplying the protocols used by WebRTC solutions are still mostly in draft stage.However, WebRTC is now omnipresent in all video conferencing devices and solutions. After four years of using RENdez-vous, we offer our feedback on the use of WebRTC.This experience allows us to take stock of the real situation of WebRTC in 2019. In particular, we describe how the various changes to this standard and its implementations impact the Jitsi-Meet project and our department. Jitsi-Meet offers a very comprehensive solution with a large community of developers. This project is very responsive to the different changes in WebRTC in the main browsers. However, there is a certain complexity in its architecture and its developments. Lastly, we propose a discussion on what the next version of WebRTC may involve in terms of development of videoconferencing services and on RENdez-vous.Fin 2010 commence les réflexions sur le WebRTC, un protocole de communication temps réel dans le navigateur.Très rapidement, Google rend accessibles à tous les utilisateurs de son navigateur sa version du WebRTC. Une implémentation complète, performante et gratuite. Cette technologie est alors accessible à un grand nombre de développeurs et bon nombre de nouvelles solutions de visioconférence vont émerger.En 2015, RENATER propose RENdez-vous un nouveau service compatible WebRTC. Ce service à destination de l’ESR se base sur Jitsi-Meet un projet opensource de visioconférence.Neuf ans après le début des travaux sur la norme WebRTC, la version 1.0 des API navigateur n’est toujours pas finalisée. Les différentes RFC détaillants les protocoles utilisés par les solutions WebRTC sont toujours majoritairement à l’état de Draft.Le WebRTC est néanmoins aujourd’hui omniprésent dans tous les appareils et les solutions de visioconférence. Après quatre années d’exploitation de RENdez-vous, nous proposons notre retour d’expérience sur l’utilisation du WebRTC.Cette expérience nous permet de faire un point sur la situation réelle du WebRTC en 2019. Nous exposons en particulier comment les différentes évolutions de cette norme et de ses implémentations impactent le projet Jitsi-Meet et notre service. Jitsi-Meet offre une solution très complète avec une grande communauté de développeurs. Ce projet est très réactif aux différents changements du WebRTC dans les principaux navigateurs. Cependant, il présente une certaine complexité dans son architecture et ses évolutions. Nous proposons enfin, une réflexion sur ce que la prochaine version du WebRTC pourra impliquer sur l’évolution des services de visioconférence et sur RENdez-vous
Going Beyond Counting First Authors in Author Co-citation Analysis

counts are defined. Co-citation counting provides the data on which all subsequent statistical analyses and mappings
are based, and we compare ACA results based on two different types of co-citation counting - the traditional type that
only counts the first one among a cited work's authors on the one hand and a non-traditional type that takes into
account the first 5 authors of a cited work on the other hand. Results indicate that the picture produced through this non-traditional author co-citation counting contains more coherent author groups and is therefore considerably clearer. However, this picture represents fewer specialties in the research field being studied than that produced through the traditional first-author co-citation counting when the same number of top-ranked authors is selected and analyzed. Reasons for these effects are discussed

Get PDF“Variations on the Author” discusses two of Eduardo Coutinho’s recent films (Um Dia na Vida, from 2010, and Últimas Conversas, posthumously released in 2015) and their contribution to the general question of documentary authorship. The director’s filmography is characterized by a consistent yet self-effacing form of authorial self-inscription: Coutinho often features as an interviewer that rather than express opinions propels discourses; an interviewer that is good at listening. This mode of self-inscription characterizes him as an author who is not expressive but who is nonetheless markedly present on the screen. In Um Dia na Vida, however, Coutinho is completely absent form the image, while Últimas Conversas, on the contrary, includes a confessional prologue that moves the director from the margins to the center of his films. This article examines the ways in which these works stand out in the filmography of a director who offers new insights into the notion of cinematic authorship
Appropriate Similarity Measures for Author Cocitation Analysis
Get PDFWe provide a number of new insights into the methodological discussion about author cocitation analysis. We first argue that the use of the Pearson correlation for measuring the similarity between authors’ cocitation profiles is not very satisfactory. We then discuss what kind of similarity measures may be used as an alternative to the Pearson correlation. We consider three similarity measures in particular. One is the well-known cosine. The other two similarity measures have not been used before in the bibliometric literature. use of first-author citation counts in the evaluation of scholars, such as high correlations between author rankings by first-author citation counts and other citation
counting methods, and high costs of using more realistic citation counting methods that are not well-supported by the ISI databases. Note that the objective for the hut study was to evaluate the IRS treatment applications for residual efficacy against Anopheles mosquitoes, including the local An. coluzzii mosquito population. Cows were only used to attract mosquitoes into the huts and no tests were carried out directly on the cows. The author checklist is intended for use with studies where experiments are carried out on animals, which is why we have had such difficulty in completing this for the hut study, as many of the questions do not relate to how the cows were used
