Comportamiento de variables demográficas durante el período intercensal por regiones socioeconómicas

Instituto de Estadística y Demografía; Argentina.A partir de la regionalización efectuada mediante la aplicación de Componentes Principales y Análisis de Cluster a un conjunto de indicadores de provincias argentinas, elaborada con datos del Censo 2001 y posterior validación para el año 2008, está ponencia presenta el comportamiento de las variables demográficas con la regionalización propuesta, durante el período intercensal 2001-2010. La construcción de las regiones, rescata el concepto de regiones homogéneas toda vez que éstas facilitan la adecuación de políticas estatales a las características particulares de cada región, las que han sido definidas conforme a los indicadores y variables analizadas a los fines de ajustar programas y acciones. Por lo que respecta a las variables demográficas, en el marco de la transición demográfica se analiza el crecimiento vegetativo y los niveles de mortalidad que describen la evolución de la esperanza de vida al nacer, al tiempo que la trayectoria de la fecundidad muestra la evolución de la tasa global y el cambio en los patrones de fecundidad entre 2001 y 2010. En lo referente a migraciones, acudiendo a la aplicación de la ecuación compensadora se estiman los saldos de migración neta y las tasas medias de migración anuales, interna e internacional. A partir de los resultados obtenidos no cabe dudas que si bien globalmente Argentina se encuadra dentro de los países que presentan una etapa de transición avanzada, las regiones empero se encuentran todavía en diversos estadios de transición. Dan cuenta de ello las bajas tasas de natalidad como de mortalidad. En apoyo de estas ideas vale la pena consignar que mientras la Región 1 está comenzando la Segunda Transición, las restantes regiones se ubican en distintos momentos y en estado avanzado de la tercera etapa de la Primera Transición.Fil: Saino, Martín. La Conciencia: su singularidad y lugar conceptual en Psicoanálisis
No full textHacia el final de su producción teórica, en el artículo inconcluso de 1938 titulado Compendio del psicoanálisis 2 Freud intenta una síntesis del ya extenso corpus conceptual de la teoría concentrándose en las ideas que considera fundamentales y estructurales de su edificio teórico y en referencia a ese escrito dice: “el propósito de este trabajo es reunir los principios del psicoanálisis y confirmarlos, como si de dogmas se tratara, en una forma la más concisa posible y expuestos en los términos más inequívocos”. 3 Allí hace una consideración que resulta al menos inquietante por las implicaciones que a priori podrían sugerir al lector incauto; habiendo descripto la estructura del aparato anímico y las energías involucradas en su funcionamiento, refiriéndose a esto mismo precisa: “Nada había en todo ello que expresase el particularísimo carácter de lo psíquico, salvo, naturalmente, el hecho empírico de que aquel aparato y aquellas energías constituyen el fundamento de las funciones que denominamos nuestra vida anímica. Nos ocuparemos ahora de cuanto es únicamente característico de ese psiquismo, de lo que, según opinión muy generalizada, hasta coincide realmente con lo psíquico, a exclusión de todo lo demás. El punto de partida de dicho estudio está dado por el singular fenómeno de la conciencia, un hecho refractario a toda explicación y descripción. No obstante, cuando alguien se refiere a la conciencia, sabemos al punto por propia experiencia lo que con ello se quiere significar.” La conciencia sería, pues, algo que a esa altura de la evolución teórica del psicoanálisis se resistía tenazmente a ser explicada e integrada cabalmente en la red conceptual de la teoría freudiana. Sin embrago a Freud esto no se le presentaba como una dificultad o una aporía y lo resolvió sencillamente manifestando que “no es necesario caracterizar lo que denominamos consciente, pues coincide con la conciencia de los filósofos y del habla cotidiana. Going Beyond Counting First Authors in Author Co-citation Analysis
Get PDFThe present study examines one of the fundamental aspects of author co-citation analysis (ACA) - the way co-citation
counts are defined. Co-citation counting provides the data on which all subsequent statistical analyses and mappings
are based, and we compare ACA results based on two different types of co-citation counting - the traditional type that
only counts the first one among a cited work's authors on the one hand and a non-traditional type that takes into
account the first 5 authors of a cited work on the other hand. Results indicate that the picture produced through this non-traditional author co-citation counting contains more coherent author groups and is therefore considerably clearer. However, this picture represents fewer specialties in the research field being studied than that produced through the traditional first-author co-citation counting when the same number of top-ranked authors is selected and analyzed. Reasons for these effects are discussed
Variations on the Author
Get PDF“Variations on the Author” discusses two of Eduardo Coutinho’s recent films (Um Dia na Vida, from 2010, and Últimas Conversas, posthumously released in 2015) and their contribution to the general question of documentary authorship. The director’s filmography is characterized by a consistent yet self-effacing form of authorial self-inscription: Coutinho often features as an interviewer that rather than express opinions propels discourses; an interviewer that is good at listening. This mode of self-inscription characterizes him as an author who is not expressive but who is nonetheless markedly present on the screen. In Um Dia na Vida, however, Coutinho is completely absent form the image, while Últimas Conversas, on the contrary, includes a confessional prologue that moves the director from the margins to the center of his films. This article examines the ways in which these works stand out in the filmography of a director who offers new insights into the notion of cinematic authorship
Appropriate Similarity Measures for Author Cocitation Analysis
Get PDFWe provide a number of new insights into the methodological discussion about author cocitation analysis. We first argue that the use of the Pearson correlation for measuring the similarity between authors’ cocitation profiles is not very satisfactory. We then discuss what kind of similarity measures may be used as an alternative to the Pearson correlation. We consider three similarity measures in particular. One is the well-known cosine. The other two similarity measures have not been used before in the bibliometric literature. Dispelling the Myths Behind First-author Citation Counts

use of first-author citation counts in the evaluation of scholars, such as high correlations between author rankings by first-author citation counts and other citation
counting methods, and high costs of using more realistic citation counting methods that are not well-supported by the ISI databases. No full textWe have done our best to complete the author checklist relating to the use of animals in the hut study. Note that the objective for the hut study was to evaluate the IRS treatment applications for residual efficacy against Anopheles mosquitoes, including the local An. coluzzii mosquito population. Cows were only used to attract mosquitoes into the huts and no tests were carried out directly on the cows. The author checklist is intended for use with studies where experiments are carried out on animals, which is why we have had such difficulty in completing this for the hut study, as many of the questions do not relate to how the cows were used
