Fuel tank sloshing simulation using the finite volume method
No full textMatthäus Jäger examines the simulation of liquid-gas flow in fuel tank systems and its application to sloshing problems. The author focuses at first on the physical model and the assumptions necessary to derive the respective partial differential equations. The second step involves the cell-centered finite volume method and its application to fluid dynamic problems with free surfaces using a volume of fluid approach. Finally, the application of the method for different use cases is presented followed by an introduction to the methodology for the interpretation of the results achieved. And consequently its first step of globalization. Russian translation of Bible is showing distinction from other translations, but experimentally was establishing that Russian people in speech practise understand and use forms of words in accordance with their significance, which used in other translations of Bible, changes the original significance. Get PDFMany European countries have seen increasing refugee populations and asylum applications over the past decade. Forcibly displaced persons (FDPs) are known to be at higher risk of developing mental disorders and are in need of specific care. Thus, specific training for mental health professionals is recommended by international health organizations. The aim of this exploratory study was to assess the experience of clinical work with FDPs among psychiatric trainees in Europe and Central Asia as well as their interest and specific training received on this topic. An online questionnaire was designed by the Psychiatry Across Borders working group of the European Federation of Psychiatric Trainees (EFPT) and was distributed via email through local networks among European trainees from 47 countries between March 2017 and April 2019. Answers of 342 psychiatric trainees from 15 countries were included in the survey analysis. A majority of trainees (71%) had had contact with FDPs in the last year of their clinical work. Although three-quarters expressed a strong interest in the mental health of FDPs, only 35% felt confident in assessing and treating them. Specific training was provided to 25% of trainees; of this subset, only a quarter felt this training prepared them adequately. Skills training on transcultural competencies, post-traumatic stress disorder, and trauma management was regarded as essential to caring for refugees with confidence. Although psychiatric trainees are motivated to improve their skills in treating FDPs, a lack of adequate specific training has been identified. The development of practical skills training is essential. International online training courses could help meet this pressing need

No full textStörungen des Autismus-Spektrums bleiben teilweise im Kindesalter unerkannt und führen auch im Erwachsenenalter zu psychosozialen Beeinträchtigungen. Häufiger als in der Normalbevölkerung kommt es zu psychiatrischen Komorbiditäten wie ADHS und affektiven Störungen und Erkrankungen des Schizophrenie-Spektrums. Zwischen Autismus- und Schizophrenie-Spektrum zeigen sich psychopathologisch und im Bereich von Verhaltenseigenschaften Überlappungen. Wir berichten über den Fall eines 20-jährigen Patienten mit einer psychotischen Erstmanifestation bei bipolarer affektiver Störung und suspiziertem zugrunde liegendem Asperger-Syndrom.Autism spectrum disorders (ASD) can go unrecognized during childhood and can cause persisting psychosocial difficulties in adulthood. Psychiatric comorbidities like attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), affective disorders or schizophrenia spectrum disorders (SSD) are more common in individuals with ASD compared to those without ASD. Overlaps between autism and schizophrenia spectrum in psychopathology and on the trait level have been described. We report on the case of a 20-year-old man with a first episode of psychosis, in the context of bipolar affective disorder and suspected underlying Asperger’s syndrome
