She teaches courses on personal and family finance, family financial counseling, family resource management, economic perspectives of families, and family decision-making. Her scholarly research focus is in the area of economic well-being of families with particular interest in self-employment and family-owned businesses. Her research focuses on the Hispanic family life and she is the author of “Hispanic Self-Employment in the Southwest: Rising Above the Threshold of Poverty,” (Garland Publishing, 1997). She received her B.S. from the University of North Texas, an M.S. from Texas Tech University, and a Ph.D. from The Ohio State University. She served three years on the Board of Directors for the Association of Financial Counseling and Planning Education

Our team conducted a vast amount of market research to determine what sector of the market would provide the best return on investment. We organized meetings with local brokers from Cushman & Wakefield, CBRE, JLL, and Colliers International to learn more about the current market environment. Also, we organized meetings with local developers, architects, and lenders. These included Merit Partners, Sunbelt Holdings, MODUS Development, Catclar Investments, 5Visual, Butler Design Group, and Colonial Capital. Through the research we conducted we were able to successfully determine that a multifamily development within the City of Tempe would be a great way to enter the Commercial Real Estate Development field. Our project consisted of the full land acquisition process, architectural site plan review, financial analysis, and completion of the product

No full textThis edition of Campanella’s utopistic essay has three main features:
1) It provides parallel texts of the first Italian MS version (La Città del Sole, 1602) and the last Latin edition (Civitas Solis, 1637), the only one supervised by the author. The texts have been collated with the originals, and this enables the reader to follow them easily and accurately;
2) It contains the first unabridged translation of Civitas Solis;
3) It presents a commentary (footnotes and endnotes) which reconstructs connections with Campanella’s other numerous works and their sources.
Questa edizione del trattato utopistico campanelliano ha tre caratteristiche salienti:
1) fornisce complanarmente la prima redazione italiana manoscritta (La Città del Sole, 1602) e l’ultima edizione latina (Civitas Solis, 1637), l’unica controllata direttamente dall’Autore, affinché il lettore possa consultarle agevolmente e attendibilmente, essendo state ricontrollate sugli originali;
2) offre la prima traduzione integrale della Civitas Solis;
3) presenta un commento del testo, che, attraverso un duplice corredo di note (fondo pagina e fondo testo), ricostruisce la rete di rinvii alla sterminata produzione campanelliana e alle sue fonti
