PENDAMPINGAN PENGEMBANGAN USAHA UMKM BARU DI KOTA CIREBON DENGAN EKOSISTEM MODEL BISNIS CANVAS
The intense competition in the business world presents various challenges that can threaten economic stability, making it essential for entrepreneurs to develop effective strategies to run their businesses. This community service program is designed using a participatory approach based on adult-learning processes, focusing on the introduction and implementation of the Business Model Canvas (BMC). The activity is organized by Catur Insan Cendekia University (CIC) in collaboration with the Department of Cooperatives, Micro, Small, and Trade Enterprises (DKUMPP) of Cirebon City, involving 100 fostered MSMEs. The implementation method includes several stages: (1) delivering material using PowerPoint presentations and simulations related to the BMC concept, (2) interactive discussions, (3) training on drafting BMC for new MSMEs to address the challenges of the new normal era, and (4) evaluating the program's impact on MSME participants in the region. Entrepreneurs are provided with insights on how to run their businesses using the nine key elements of BMC, which include value proposition, customer segments, channels, customer relationships, key resources, key activities, key partnerships, revenue streams, and cost structures. The expected outcomes of this program are: (1) scientific publications in international community service journals, (2) activity publication in print or online media, (3) signing of a Cooperation Agreement (SPK) with partners, and (4) development of a BMC document to support new MSME ventures
EKSPLORASI BUDAYA MENGHIDUPKAN TARI DAERAH DALAM PERAYAAN KARTINI DI CIREBON
The celebration of Kartini's Day in Cirebon offers a unique platform for junior and senior high school students to delve into and appreciate the richness of local culture. In this context, cultural exploration becomes crucial to revitalizing the essence of traditional dance as an integral part of the celebration. This dedication explores approaches that can be used to introduce and present regional dances as an essential component of the celebration. Focusing on the nuances of regional classical dance, this article discusses concrete efforts to involve students in understanding the values of bravery, beauty, and grace reflected in traditional dance movements. In the context of Kartini's Day festival, this cultural exploration serves as a form of celebration and a means to strengthen the local cultural identity and foster appreciation for invaluable cultural heritage. In conclusion, through this cultural exploration, it is hoped that the spirit of Kartini can continue to be revived, and cultural heritage can be preserved for future generations. Thus, this cultural exploration serves as a means to commemorate Kartini's contributions and as a platform to deepen understanding of local cultural heritage and foster creativity and appreciation for traditional arts. Amidst the tide of modernization, efforts like these are crucial to ensure that cultural values and traditions remain alive and relevant for the younger generation
PENDAMPINGAN BRANDING DAN PACKAGING UNTUK MENINGKATKAN DAYA SAING UMKM KELURAHAN KARYAMULYA CIREBON
Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) play a strategic role in driving economic growth and creating employment opportunities at the local level. However, many MSMEs still face various challenges, particularly in branding and packaging, which are not optimally developed, leading to low competitiveness in an increasingly competitive market. This study aims to provide assistance in branding strategies and packaging design to MSMEs in Karyamulya Subdistrict, Cirebon, to enhance product appeal and expand market reach. The methodology used in this study consists of several stages: identifying problems through surveys and interviews with MSME actors, analyzing branding and packaging needs, and conducting intensive training and mentoring in designing more attractive packaging that aligns with product characteristics. Furthermore, an evaluation was carried out to measure the effectiveness of the assistance by assessing changes in consumer perception and the potential increase in sales after implementing improved branding and packaging strategies. The results of this assistance program indicate an increased understanding among MSME actors regarding the importance of brand identity and packaging as key factors in building customer loyalty and attracting a broader market segment. Additionally, more professional and innovative packaging designs have proven to enhance the visual appeal of products, increasing market penetration opportunities both offline and online. Implementing stronger branding strategies also helps MSMEs establish clearer differentiation amid intensifying industry competition. In conclusion, branding and packaging assistance has positively impacted MSMEs in Karyamulya Subdistrict, Cirebon, by enhancing their competitiveness in the market. It is hoped that similar programs can be replicated in other regions as a solution to support the growth and sustainability of MSMEs in Indonesia
Going Beyond Counting First Authors in Author Co-citation Analysis
The present study examines one of the fundamental aspects of author co-citation analysis (ACA) - the way co-citation
counts are defined. Co-citation counting provides the data on which all subsequent statistical analyses and mappings
are based, and we compare ACA results based on two different types of co-citation counting - the traditional type that
only counts the first one among a cited work's authors on the one hand and a non-traditional type that takes into
account the first 5 authors of a cited work on the other hand. Results indicate that the picture produced through this non-traditional author co-citation counting contains more coherent author groups and is therefore considerably clearer. However, this picture represents fewer specialties in the research field being studied than that produced through the traditional first-author co-citation counting when the same number of top-ranked authors is selected and analyzed. Reasons for these effects are discussed
Variations on the Author
“Variations on the Author” discusses two of Eduardo Coutinho’s recent films (Um Dia na Vida, from 2010, and Últimas Conversas, posthumously released in 2015) and their contribution to the general question of documentary authorship. The director’s filmography is characterized by a consistent yet self-effacing form of authorial self-inscription: Coutinho often features as an interviewer that rather than express opinions propels discourses; an interviewer that is good at listening. This mode of self-inscription characterizes him as an author who is not expressive but who is nonetheless markedly present on the screen. In Um Dia na Vida, however, Coutinho is completely absent form the image, while Últimas Conversas, on the contrary, includes a confessional prologue that moves the director from the margins to the center of his films. This article examines the ways in which these works stand out in the filmography of a director who offers new insights into the notion of cinematic authorship
Appropriate Similarity Measures for Author Cocitation Analysis
We provide a number of new insights into the methodological discussion about author cocitation analysis. We first argue that the use of the Pearson correlation for measuring the similarity between authors’ cocitation profiles is not very satisfactory. We then discuss what kind of similarity measures may be used as an alternative to the Pearson correlation. We consider three similarity measures in particular. One is the well-known cosine. The other two similarity measures have not been used before in the bibliometric literature. Finally, we show by means of an example that our findings have a high practical relevance.information science;Pearson correlation;cosine;similarity measure;author cocitation analysis
Dispelling the Myths Behind First-author Citation Counts
We conducted a full-scale evaluative citation analysis study of scholars in the XML research field to explore just how different from each other author rankings resulting from different citation counting methods actually are, and to demonstrate the capability of emerging data and tools on the Web in supporting more realistic citation counting methods. Our results contest some common arguments for the continued
use of first-author citation counts in the evaluation of scholars, such as high correlations between author rankings by first-author citation counts and other citation
counting methods, and high costs of using more realistic citation counting methods that are not well-supported by the ISI databases. It is argued that increasingly available digital full text research papers make it possible for citation analysis studies to go beyond what the ISI databases have directly supported and to employ more
sophisticated methods
koamabayili/VECTRON-author-checklist: VECTRON author checklist
We have done our best to complete the author checklist relating to the use of animals in the hut study. Note that the objective for the hut study was to evaluate the IRS treatment applications for residual efficacy against Anopheles mosquitoes, including the local An. coluzzii mosquito population. Cows were only used to attract mosquitoes into the huts and no tests were carried out directly on the cows. The author checklist is intended for use with studies where experiments are carried out on animals, which is why we have had such difficulty in completing this for the hut study, as many of the questions do not relate to how the cows were used
