    Dissertação (mestrado) - Universidade Federal de Santa Catarina, Programa de Pós-Graduação em Educação Científica e Tecnológica, Florianópolis, 2015.A experimentação é normalmente entendida, no ensino de ciências, como um meio para refutar ou corroborar uma teoria e todo o seu processo dinâmico foge a uma reflexão metodológica. Principalmente na física, uma ciência experimental, é natural que as relações entre hipótese e experimentação estejam intimamente ligadas ao processo de construção do conhecimento. Entretanto, como enfatiza a literatura, é essencial refletir sobre esses vínculos que passam, muitas vezes, despercebidos tanto no âmbito da própria ciência como no procedimento pedagógico. Desta forma, o objetivo geral desta pesquisa foi evidenciar a dinâmica entre hipótese e experimentação na construção do conhecimento científico. Para tanto se desenvolveu um módulo de ensino que discute o conceito de experimentação exploratória (STEINLE, 1997; 2002) e a relação entre o contexto da descoberta e o contexto da justificativa, a partir dos estudos de Stephen Gray e Charles Du Fay em um momento incipiente da história da eletricidade. O módulo é constituído por um texto, dois artigos, três trechos de vídeos, seminários e uma atividade experimental, realizada em sala de aula. No primeiro semestre de 2013, ele foi implementado em um dos segmentos de uma disciplina sobre História da Ciência da Universidade Federal de Santa Catarina. Os dados obtidos através de um questionário aberto, em termos gerais, mostraram que a proposta é eficaz, promovendo uma satisfatória articulação entre o conteúdo histórico e aspectos específicos da filosofia da ciência.Abstract : Experimentation is usually understood in the teaching of science as a means to refute or corroborate a theory and all its dynamic process flees to a methodological reflection. Especially in physics, an experimental science, it is natural that the relationship between hypothesis and experimentation are closely linked to the knowledge construction process. However, as emphasized by the literature, it is essential to reflect on those ties that are often overlooked both in the science itself as the pedagogical procedure. Thus, the objective of this research was to demonstrate the dynamic between hypothesis and experimentation in the construction of scientific knowledge. Therefore developed a teaching module that discusses the concept of exploratory experimentation (STEINLE 1997, 2002) and the relationship between the context of discovery and the context of justification, from the studies of Stephen Gray and Charles Du Fay at a time incipient history of electricity. The module consists of a text, two articles, three sections of videos, seminars and experimental activity conducted in the classroom. In the first half of 2013, it was implemented in one of the segments of a course in the History of Science, Federal University of Santa Catarina. The data obtained through an open questionnaire, in general, showed that the proposal is effective, promoting a sound relationship between the historical content and specific aspects of the philosophy of science

    Standing Between Reservation and Nation: Indigenous performance in North America after the end of the Indian Wars Christiana Fay Molldrem Harkulich, PhD University of Pittsburgh, 2017 This dissertation asserts that performance as a means of representation has a profound connection to the political position and projects of Indigenous peoples in North America. Through three case studies, my project is a constellational history of Indigenous performance’s decolonial imaginary and enactment. I theorize that the act of standing -- both figuratively standing for, i.e. representation, as well as the physical act of standing -- is a visible decolonial intervention into historical narratives of the Americas constructed and upheld by national (i.e. nation-state based) politics. Drawing from theatre and performance studies methodologies and historiographies, border theory, and coloniality, I argue that performances by Indigenous women function as critical moments of standing that destabilize and reconfigure nation-state bound histories, narratives, and borders. This is explored through three case studies of Indigenous women’s performances that span the 20th century: the first discusses Princess White Deer’s Vaudeville and Broadway performances in the 1910s-1920s and questions of citizenship; the second examines Anna Mae Pictou Aquash’s acts of standing during the protests of the American Indian Movement from 1968-1976 and questions of sovereignty; and the third analyzes Monique Mojica’s play and production of Princess Pocahontas and The Blue Spots and a decolonial dramaturgy in the 1990s. As a whole, this project points to the complicated political position of Indigenous peoples in North America and the necessity of acts of decolonial imagining

    BAŞKALE FAY ZONU’NUN TEKTONİK JEOMORFOLOJİSİ

    Başkale Fay Zonu (BFZ) Türkiye’nin güneydoğusunda, Şemdinli-Yükseova Fay zonu ile İran’ın kuzeybatısında bulunan Guilato–Siahcheshmeh–Khoy Fay sisteminin arasında yer almaktadır. Kuzeydoğuda Yavuzlar beldesinden başlayıp, güneybatıda Işıklar köyüne kadar devam etmektedir. Yaklaşık olarak K10°D ile K40°D arasında değişen doğrultulara sahip olan BFZ Işıklı, Ziraniş ve Çamlık faylarından meydana gelmektedir. Ötelenmiş dere yatakları, fay denetimli akaçlama sistemi (Çığılsuyu Irmağı gibi), faylar boyunca uzanan ve deformasyon geçirmiş alüvyon yelpazeleri, fay düzlükleri, Pliyo-Kuvaterner yaşlı volkanitler ve volkanik yapılar, oluşumunu günümüzde de sürdüren çatlak sırtı travertenler BFZ’nun aktif olduğunu gösteren morfotektonik özelliklerdir. Bu çalışmada bölgenin morfotektonik evriminde Başkale Fay Zonu’nun etkisinin belirlenmesi amaçlanmıştır. Bu amaç içerisinde, morfotektonik analizler için çalışma alanının Sayısal Yükseklik Modeli üzerinde hipsometrik integral, drenaj havzası asimetrisi, vadi tabanı genişliğinin-vadi yüksekliğine oranı ve dağ cephesi kıvrımlılığı gibi morfometrik indisler üretilerek yorumlanmıştır. Morfometrik analiz sonuçlarına bağlı olarak, alanın son derece genç bir topoğrafyaya sahip olduğu ve aktif olarak yükseldiği görülmektedir. Bölgedeki yükselme hızının doğudan batıya doğru arttığı ve batı kesimlerinde yılda 0.5 mm’den fazla olduğu sonucuna varılmıştır
