Statue romane della collezione di Girolamo Egidio di Velo dei Musei Civici di Vicenza
No full textIl volume, preceduto da una introduzione di Irene Favaretto e Giuseppina Gherardini sulla figura di Girolamo Egidio di Velo, presenta le collezione di sculture raccolta dall'aristocratico vicentino a Roma. Si tratta di due nuclei di sculture che sono presentati separatamente, dopo una breve introduzione. Un gruppo di sculture (tra cui una copia del Satiro in riposo) e frammenti di rilievi proviene dagli scavi nelle Terme di Caracalla condotti dallo stesso Girolamo Egidio di Velo nel 1824, mentre un secondo nucleo (tra cui una statua femminile seduta del tipo "Vaticano, Vicenza, Brindisi") apparteneva alle collezioni dei Musei Vaticani e fu concesso al Di Velo nel 1827 come compenso per il valore dei mosaici con atleti scoperti appunto nelle Terme

No full textThe present volume brings together papers given at the International Conference on the vernacular tradition of the prosimetrum from Dante to Bembo, which took place last summer at Ca’ Foscari University of Venice at the end of a Marie Sklodowska-Curie postdoctoral fellowship. The conference followed on from a seminar held at the University of Trento over twenty-five years ago; however, the focus was on the mixed texts composed in the early centuries instead of embracing the entire period of Italian literature. The bibliography on these vernacular works considered as a whole is quite limited in comparison to that on the prosimetric production in classical and medieval Latin. Further, it is difficult to establish a satisfactory definition of prosimetrum which goes beyond the etymological meaning described – with few different nuances – in both the early Artes Dictandi and in modern treatises of metrics. Dante’s Vita Nova, the first – and in many respects exceptional – example of this vernacular tradition, does not offer a suitable model for the abundant prosimetra written in the subsequent two centuries, which were characterized by a considerable variety of themes and genres. Therefore, it seemed preferable to reconsider the subject and look closely at all those texts in which the evident alternation of prose sections and poetic compositions conformed to a precise authorial intent on the basis of a relationship of mutual dependence. The papers collected here are intended to offer fresh insights into both famous and lesser-known prosimetra, written between approximately 1250 and 1500, in order to advance our understanding of this hybrid literary phenomenon. Each contributor takes a single prosimetrum focusing either on the interaction between prose and verse or any other relevant aspect, such as textual tradition and critical analysis of the poems, in line with the standard form that was used to examine the works included in the online inventory available at www.unive.it/inprov

L'attività è stata svolta nell'ambito della ricerca Mapping.Crit.Arch.: Architectural criticism XXth and XXIth centuries, a cartography finanziata dall'Agence Nationale de la Recherche (Francia) e in vista del Second International Workshop a Bologna (4-5 ottobre 2016), alla cui organizzazione il Dottorato in Architettura contribuisce (mac.hypotheses.org). Hydraulic Experiments on a Small-Scale Wave Energy Converter with an Unconventional Dummy Pto
No full textThis paper investigates on a Wave Energy Converter (WEC) named Energy & Protection, 4th generation (EP4). The WEC couples the energy harvesting function with the purpose of protecting the coast from erosion. It is formed by a flap rolling with a single degree of freedom around a lower hinge. Small-scale tests were carried out in the wave flume of the maritime group of Padua University, aiming at the evaluation of the device efficiency. The test peculiarity is represented by the system used to simulate the Power Take Off (PTO). Such dummy PTO permits a free rotation of two degrees before engaging the shaft, allowing the flap to gain some inertia, and then applying a constant resistive moment. The EP4 was observed to reach a 35% efficiency, under short regular waves. The effects, in terms of coastal protection, are small but not negligible, at least for the shortest waves
InProV: un inventario dei prosimetri in volgare dalla "Vita Nova" di Dante agli "Asolani" del Bembo
No full textThe early Italian literary record comprises a significant number of prosimetric works, alongside texts written entirely in verse or in prose: well-known prosimetra include Dante's Vita nova, Boccaccio's Ameto, Sannazaro's Arcadia and Bembo's Asolani. While individual prosimetra have often been studied in depth, more consistent, large-scale research into this category of texts is a more recent phenomenon, still lacking thorough investigation. The InProV research project aims to provide a comprehensive inventory of Italian vernacular prosimetra composed between 1250 and 1500. By analyzing the complete resulting corpus, the project aims to provide better insight into the development of this diverse literary tradition, which originates unquestionably with Dante's Vita nova

No full textL’elaborato analizza le conseguenze lavoristiche della successione fra imprenditori, muovendo da una ricognizione delle varie tipologie di esternalizzazione con le relative esigenze e principali criticità.
L’indagine si concentra in primo luogo sul trasferimento d’azienda, esaminando la normativa e la giurisprudenza europee per passare poi alla disciplina di diritto interno, alle procedure sindacali e a uno specifico focus sul trasferimento delle aziende in crisi.
Successivamente l’autore si sofferma sull’appalto, prendendone in particolare considerazione gli indici di genuinità, i criteri di distinzione dalla somministrazione illecita di manodopera e la tutela delle maestranze in caso di avvicendamento fra imprese.
Da ultimo, la ricerca approfondisce le c.d. “clausole sociali”, sia di prima che di seconda generazione, valutandone la compatibilità con il diritto eurounitario e con la costituzione nonché riflettendo sui possibili rimedi in caso di loro violazione.The author analyzes the labour consequences of the succession between entrepreneurs, starting from a recognition of the various types of outsourcing with the related needs and main critical issues.
The survey focuses primarily on the transfer of businesses, examining European legislation and case-law and then moving on to internal legislation, trade union procedures and a specific focus on the transfer of companies in crisis.
The author then dwells on the contract, taking into account in particular the indications of authenticity, the criteria of distinction from the illicit administration of labour and the protection of workers in the event of turnover between companies.
Finally, the research deepens the "social clauses", both first and second generation, assessing their compatibility with European law and with the constitution and reflecting on possible remedies in case of their violation

No full textThe present article aims to provide the full collation between the surviving witnesses of Matteo Maria Boiardo’s Asino d’oro, on which the recent critical edition is based. A detailed description of the witnesses containing this vernacular translation of Apuleius’ Golden Ass is given at the outset: these include two manuscripts dated between the end of the 15th and the beginning of the 16th century as well as the editio princeps published in Venice in 1518. The examination of the conjunctive and separative errors shows that the witnesses all derive from a common archetype and that the stemma codicum is bipartite with the early printed book representing one independent branch and the two manuscripts – copies of the same antigraph – the other.Il presente articolo si propone di fornire la collazione integrale dei testimoni dell’Asino d’oro di Matteo Maria Boiardo, su cui si basa la recente edizione critica. Di questo volgarizzamento rinascimentale delle Metamorfosi ovidiane sono solo tre i testimoni superstiti, dei quali si offre all’inizio una descrizione dettagliata. Si tratta nello specifico di due manoscritti datati tra la fine del XV e l’inizio del XVI secolo, e dell’editio princeps pubblicata a Venezia nel 1518. Dall’esame degli errori congiuntivi e separativi si evince che i testimoni derivano tutti da un archetipo comune, e che lo stemma codicum è bipartito: da una parte la stampa, che costituisce un ramo a sé, e dall’altra i due codici, copie di uno stesso antigrafo
Effect of Mo.S.E. Closures on Wind Waves in the Venetian Lagoon: In Situ and Numerical Analyses
No full textIn the Venetian lagoon, the storm surge barriers (Mo.S.E. system) are crucial to prevent urban flooding during extreme stormy events. The inlet closures have some cascading effects on the hydrodynamics and sediment transports of this shallow tidal environment. The present study aims at investigating the effects of the Mo.S.E. closure on the wind-wave propagation inside the lagoon. In situ wave data were collected to establish a unique dataset of measurements recorded in front of San Marco square between July 2020 and December 2021, i.e., partially during the COVID-19 pandemic. Ten storm events were analyzed in terms of significant wave heights and simultaneous wind characteristics. This dataset allowed for validating a spectral wave model (SWAN) applied to the whole lagoon. The results show that the floodgate closures, which induce an artificial reduction of water levels, influence significant wave heights HS, which decrease on average by 22% compared to non-regulated conditions, but in the shallower areas (for example tidal flats and salt marshes), the predicted decrease is on average 48%. Consequently, the analysis suggests that the Mo.S.E. closures are expected to induce modifications in the wave overtopping, wave loads and lagoon morphodynamics
