Going Beyond Counting First Authors in Author Co-citation Analysis
The present study examines one of the fundamental aspects of author co-citation analysis (ACA) - the way co-citation
counts are defined. Co-citation counting provides the data on which all subsequent statistical analyses and mappings
are based, and we compare ACA results based on two different types of co-citation counting - the traditional type that
only counts the first one among a cited work's authors on the one hand and a non-traditional type that takes into
account the first 5 authors of a cited work on the other hand. Results indicate that the picture produced through this non-traditional author co-citation counting contains more coherent author groups and is therefore considerably clearer. However, this picture represents fewer specialties in the research field being studied than that produced through the traditional first-author co-citation counting when the same number of top-ranked authors is selected and analyzed. Reasons for these effects are discussed
ANALISIS KELAYAKAN USAHATANI KOPI DI KABUPATEN ENDE (Kajian pada Desa Niowula dan Randhoria)
Worthiness analysis of farmer coffee in Ende. One of the plantation commodities that is the buffer of the national economy is coffee. Likewise in Ende District coffee is cultivated by smallholders and contributes quite well in meeting the income of the farmers. But the reality shows that many coffee farmers are not concentrated on coffee plants alone because of the many other businesses that they do so that coffee production in Ende Regency is not optimal. Considering that coffee has become a mainstay product in Ende Regency, this study aims to determine the level of coffee farming income and the factors that influence farmers' income and analyze the feasibility and usefulness of a coffee farm. The method used in this research is a descriptive method. The research location was determined by purposive sampling, based on the consideration that the area was a coffee-producing region in Ende Regency. Sampling area is Niowula and Randhoria Village as the largest coffee producer in Ende Regency. The population of farmers is all coffee farmers, with 20 respondents. Data collection is done by interview, questionnaire, observation, and documentation. Feasibility analysis was carried out by B / C ratio analysis. The results showed a B / C ratio of 8.4%, which meant that the coffee business was profitable and feasible to develop. Factors influencing coffee business in Ende Regency include education levels, gender participation, the age of the workforce and the age of coffee plants that are old and have not applied profitable technology. It is recommended to farmers to focus more on cultivating coffee plants by applying P3S, and intensive post-harvest processin

ANALISIS FINANSIAL DIVERSIFIKASI PRODUK KELAPA MENJADI VCO (Virgin Coconut Oil) DENGAN METODE EMULSI
Coconut plant is a plant that grows in a tropical area. It dominates growing in the coastal area. Ende Regency is a part of the district, located in East Nusa Tenggara Provence particularly in Flores island. The plan is one of the commodities in Ende that support it increase the income of the people generally. However, coconut is relatively low. For instance, one fruit is five hundred or a thousand rupiah. In reality, each plant of coconut can produce 25-30 fruits every month (APCC, 2004). Most of the coconut plants in Ende is a kind of local coconut which is known "Kelapa Dalam Lokal". This kind of commodity contains high oil quality which may be treated to produce more oil. Traditionally, farmers usually produce coconut oil which can improve their home income. This oil production is well known in Ende regency as "klentik oil or tandusan oil". Most people and farmers say that oil production can not give enough benefits or profits for supporting their home economic. For this reason, it is very important to change the way of how to treat coconut fruits in order to give more quality of the coconut oil. This new way is recognized as the emulsion method. Its actually is a new technology to process the coconut fruit to become virgin coconut oil (VCO). This analysis is conducted to find out the validity of the production and to know the profits of the production in regards to improving the income of the farmer. Financial analysis includes the analysis of validity in interpreneuring (R/C ratio), the impact price, and impact focus of production. Producing the virgin coconut oil has run at Faculty of Agriculture, Flores University on semester IV, period 2007- 2008. The validity analysis indicates that the R/C ratio peaks 2,69. It shows that this product is suitable to be carried on. The treatment of coconut oil and klentik oil. The price of 80 coconut fruits can produce 7.500 ml VCO and 1.500 ml klentik oil. The price of the VCO is Rp. 46,93,- per ml while production impact is 1.700 ml. In contrast to the price of kentik oil is Rp. 174,67,- per ml while its production impact is 2.620 ml. Thus, from the financial aspect, diversification of coconut to become virgin coconut oil and klentik oil simultaneously with emulsion method is appropriate to be conducted by farmers of coconut in order to improve their production the future time
PENGEMBANGAN AGROWISATA PADI SAWAH BERBASIS PERTANIAN BERKELANJUTAN DI KECAMATAN MAUROLE
Development of Rice Agrotourism Based On Sustainaable Agriculture in Maurole District. District Maurole has become one of the world's tourist destination screen sailing. Consequently, the community of Maurole District is required to provide various tourist attractions that served to tourists, including tourist attractions of rice fields. Tracing its history, tourist attractions in Maurole are available due to screen tours and benefits for farmers and local communities is not optimal. Considering the needs of farmers and the community needs to be fulfilled continuously, and the welfare must be realized, the direction of development of tourist attraction developed into agrotourism.
Agrotourism is an alternative in development that leads to sustainable agriculture because its activities require farmers to conduct cultivation and conservation continuously. In addition, the principle of agronomic development based on sustainable agriculture refers to environmental balance in the long term that is beneficial to local communities, the utilization of non-destructive resources, and the benefits of social, economic, and cultures manifested well.
However, empirically, agriculture-based sustainable agrotourism is not well understood in terms of knowledge, attitude, and behavior patterns of farmers, and the Maurole community, whose scope includes the concept, sustainable agronomic-based agrotourism, the actions that need to be done, and the benefits for tourists and the community in the long run. The argument encourages this important article to be socialized to provide an understanding for managers, communities, and other stakeholders in the implementation, so that more interested tourists and in turn the welfare of local communities and society generally can be guaranteed
Variations on the Author
“Variations on the Author” discusses two of Eduardo Coutinho’s recent films (Um Dia na Vida, from 2010, and Últimas Conversas, posthumously released in 2015) and their contribution to the general question of documentary authorship. The director’s filmography is characterized by a consistent yet self-effacing form of authorial self-inscription: Coutinho often features as an interviewer that rather than express opinions propels discourses; an interviewer that is good at listening. This mode of self-inscription characterizes him as an author who is not expressive but who is nonetheless markedly present on the screen. In Um Dia na Vida, however, Coutinho is completely absent form the image, while Últimas Conversas, on the contrary, includes a confessional prologue that moves the director from the margins to the center of his films. This article examines the ways in which these works stand out in the filmography of a director who offers new insights into the notion of cinematic authorship
MEMBANGUN KEWIRAUSAIIAAN DALAM PERSPEKTIF AGRIBISNIS DI ERA GLOBALISASI
To face the economic problems in this global era, the agriculture sector can support the needs of many people in Indonesia, particularly those who have a low economic background. Recently most farmers have worked hard to increase their productivity. However, they often find have problems or handicaps such as (1) human resource is still low; (2) financial problems; (3) land is not enough to produce commodities; (4) infrastructures are not available enough; (5) appropriate technologies are not enough; (6) networking system of agriculture is not established yet to all agriculture sector; (7) most of the farmers are depending on the natural support; (8) skill, spirit entrepreneurship and sense of self-support of the farmers are not optimized. Regarding these problems, in fact, most farmers are developing their agriculture sectors without considering the quality of their products which is very important to the consumers, the second problem is economic global which is running fast. This can cause problems for farmers. It is therefore, all the farmers should be motivated to improve their capability on agriculture and their feeling confidence. Based on the issues, this article focuses on the single problem like "is it relevant to give understanding about the business which oriented to agribusiness toward the global area. It is summed up that in global marketing, the agriculture sector is relevant to wake the spirit, entrepreneurship ability of the farmers and oriented to agribusiness. Then they should consider the efficiency, competitive, productivity, viable, marketing strategic and self-support in order to place themselves well either in the local, regional or national level, even at the international level
Appropriate Similarity Measures for Author Cocitation Analysis
We provide a number of new insights into the methodological discussion about author cocitation analysis. We first argue that the use of the Pearson correlation for measuring the similarity between authors’ cocitation profiles is not very satisfactory. We then discuss what kind of similarity measures may be used as an alternative to the Pearson correlation. We consider three similarity measures in particular. One is the well-known cosine. The other two similarity measures have not been used before in the bibliometric literature. Finally, we show by means of an example that our findings have a high practical relevance.information science;Pearson correlation;cosine;similarity measure;author cocitation analysis
Dispelling the Myths Behind First-author Citation Counts
We conducted a full-scale evaluative citation analysis study of scholars in the XML research field to explore just how different from each other author rankings resulting from different citation counting methods actually are, and to demonstrate the capability of emerging data and tools on the Web in supporting more realistic citation counting methods. Our results contest some common arguments for the continued
use of first-author citation counts in the evaluation of scholars, such as high correlations between author rankings by first-author citation counts and other citation
counting methods, and high costs of using more realistic citation counting methods that are not well-supported by the ISI databases. It is argued that increasingly available digital full text research papers make it possible for citation analysis studies to go beyond what the ISI databases have directly supported and to employ more
sophisticated methods
