The Impact of Village Expansion on the Socioeconomic Life of the Community in Rempek Darussalam Village
Village expansion is an administrative policy that aims to accelerate public services and equitable development, this research is directed at five aspects, namely income distribution, type of work, level of education, housing conditions, and wealth ownership, the method used in this research is a descriptive qualitative approach with data collection techniques through observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation. The data analysis technique uses qualitative data analysis techniques with the steps of data collection, data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. The results showed that in terms of income distribution, although there was a general increase in income, in addition, village expansion had a positive impact on the variety of types of work in the community, with the emergence of new job opportunities in the Government and trade sectors, on the other hand, the level of community education tended to increase along with the increase in education facilities, and housing conditions experienced improvements, marked by an increase in the quality of buildings and access to basic facilities. In addition, community wealth ownership has increased, both in the form of productive and consumptive assets. Overall, village expansion contributed significantly to the improvement of the community's standard of living
IMPLEMENTASI KLAUSULA BAKU DALAM KONTRAK BISNIS PADA BANK MADINA SYARI’AH
This thesis examines the implementation of standard clauses in business agreements viewed from the perspective of maqashid asy-Syari’ah. This research departs from the practice of implementing standard clauses in business agreements between debtors and creditors, where one party has a stronger position in forming the agreement. Departing from this incident, this research intends to look further at this implementation from a sharia perspective. Based on this background, this research aims to (1) Explain the implementation of standard clauses that occur at Bank Madina Syari’ah (2) Explain the position of standard clauses in the context of Company Hifd}zhul Mal, Customer Hifdzhul Mal, and Hifdzhul Mal Negara (3) Explain the view of Islamic law regarding the implementation of standard clauses in business agreements. and (4). To explain the normative legislative reasons for the implementation of standard clauses in positive law. This type of research is field research. The author uses the maqashid asy- Syari’ah approach from asy-Syathibi's perspective as a measure to answer the background of the problem. This thesis uses qualitative methods, while in collecting primary data the author carried out observations and interviews. Meanwhile, the author obtained secondary data from sharing other sources to complete research needs. And this research was conducted at Bank Madina Sya>ri’ah as the object of study. Based on the maqashid asy-Syari’ah (asy-Syathibi) approach, according to the results of the analysis of the implementation of standard clauses, it shows (1) The implementation of standard clauses that occurred at Madina Bank was carried out based on the principle of prudence (prudential banking) and the principle of public interest, as well as the formulation of a clause that does not contain an exoneration clause and is supervised by DSN-MUI. (2) Implementation of standard clauses within the company's Hifdzhul Mal framework, namely as a form of prudential banking, and more efficient both in terms of time and modality. For customers, there is legal certainty. Meanwhile, in the context of the state, it is used as state income and for economic stability. (3) The practice of agreements using standard clauses still has a place in Islamic law based on legal considerations and micro-economic and macro-economic stability. (4) If this type of agreement is ignored, the potential for smooth business from the creditor's side will stagnate, with the aim being time efficiency, uniformity of service to consumers, as well as a form of caution against potential defaults
Estimated Acute Effects of Ambient Ozone and Nitrogen Dioxide on Mortality in the Pearl River Delta of Southern China
BACKGROUND AND OBJECTIVES: Epidemiologic studies have attributed, adverse health effects to air pollution; however, controversy remains regarding the relationship between ambient oxidants [ozone (O-3) and nitrogen dioxide (NO2)] and mortality, especially in Asia. We conducted a four-city time-series study to investigate acute effects of O-3 and NO2 in the Pearl River Delta (PRD) of southern China, using data from 2006 through 2008. METHODS: We used generalized linear models with Poisson regression incorporating natural spline functions to analyze acute mortality in association with O-3 and NO2, with PM10 (particulate matter <= 10 mu m in diameter) included as a major confounder. Effect estimates were determined for individual cities and for the four cities as a whole. We stratified the analysis according to high- and low- exposure periods for O-3. RESULTS: We found consistent positive associations between ambient oxidants and daily mortality across the PRD cities. Overall, 10-mu g/m(3) increases in average O-3 and NO2 concentrations over the previous 2 days were associated with 0.81% [95% confidence interval (Cl): 0.63%, 1.00%] and 1.95% (95% CI: 1.62%, 2.29%) increases in total mortality, respectively, with stronger estimated effects for cardiovascular and respiratory mortality. After adjusting for PM10, estimated effects of O-3 on total and cardiovascular mortality were stronger for exposure during high-exposure months (September through November), whereas respiratory mortality was associated with O-3 exposure during nonpeak exposure months only. CONCLUSIONS: Our findings suggest significant acute mortality effects of O-3 and NO2 in the PRD and strengthen the rationale for further limiting the ambient pollution levels in the area.Environmental SciencesPublic, Environmental & Occupational HealthToxicologySCI(E)PubMed20ARTICLE3393-39812
