No full textThe love between Venus and Mars is one of the most prolific themes of western art and literature. The model was defined in the classical age and became popular again after the rediscovery of classic sources during the Renaissance - the most famous new representation being the panel painting by Botticelli that can be seen at the National Gallery of London. The myth was passed down allegorically over time but this way of interpretation was replaced after Humanism by moralistic reinterpretation. Then later, during Mannerism, the literary topos acquired erotic-bourgeois characteristics. In the contemporary age the theme has had a transgressive revival in some literary and cinematic works both in Latin America and Europe. In Manuel Puig, Neil Jordan and Pedro Lemebel’s works the Venus figure is played by trans-gender characters. No full textLe premier livre de Elvis Malaj nous propose un paradoxe classique : celui d'un auteur italien que l'on perçoit, du fait de ses origines, comme un écrivain migrant. Au fil des 12 histoires qui composent son recueil, Malaj met en place ce paradoxe avec une subtilité remarquable. Grâce au dispositif ironique et à l’insertion de paragraphes en langue étrangère (qui ne compromettent pas la lisibilité du récit), l’écrivain né à Malësi et Madhe dévoile] l’inconsistance des stereotypes sur les nouveaux italiens, autant que les lieux communs diffusés parmi eux.
Il libro d’esordio di Elvis Malaj ripropone il paradosso dell’italianità di chi, per essere nato altrove, rischia di essere letto esclusivamente secondo le categorie della cosiddetta letteratura migrante. Tale paradosso lo scrittore di origine albanese mette in scena con grande consapevolezza nelle dodici storie che compongono la raccolta di racconti Dal tuo terrazzo si vede casa mia. Going Beyond Counting First Authors in Author Co-citation Analysis
Get PDFThe present study examines one of the fundamental aspects of author co-citation analysis (ACA) - the way co-citation
counts are defined. Co-citation counting provides the data on which all subsequent statistical analyses and mappings
are based, and we compare ACA results based on two different types of co-citation counting - the traditional type that
only counts the first one among a cited work's authors on the one hand and a non-traditional type that takes into
account the first 5 authors of a cited work on the other hand. Results indicate that the picture produced through this non-traditional author co-citation counting contains more coherent author groups and is therefore considerably clearer. However, this picture represents fewer specialties in the research field being studied than that produced through the traditional first-author co-citation counting when the same number of top-ranked authors is selected and analyzed. Reasons for these effects are discussed
