stato profondamente trasformato
dai riordini fondiari, l’unica
testimonianza generalmente
considerata riconducibile ad epoca
protostorica è il tumulo artificiale,
molto rimaneggiato, su cui sorge
la chiesetta di S. Giovanni. Che il
rialzo noto agli archeologi come
“tumulo di Barazzetto” fosse in
origine un monumento funerario
dell’età del bronzo è ovviamente
solo un’ipotesi, peraltro accreditata
dall’autorità di Lodovico Quarina e
dall’uso dei microtoponimi Tùmbare
e Mùtare per designare il sito.
Poiché la presenza del piccolo
edificio di culto rende estremamente
arduo condurre scavi all’interno
del monumento (sarebbe questa
l’unica forma veramente risolutiva
di accertamento archeologico), per
ottenere informazioni sul probabile
tumulo senza alterarne l’aspetto il
gruppo di ricerche protostoriche
dell’Università di Udine ha inserito
questa struttura tra un piccolo
numero di tumuli che ha ritenuto
opportuno sottoporre ad una serie
di prospezioni geofisiche. L’indagine
è stata affidata dal gruppo di
esplorazione geofisica dell’Università
di Trieste coordinato dal prof.
Michele Pipan e condotta dal dott.
Emanuele Forte coadiuvato dai
collaboratori dott. Gianluca Foti e

No full textAbstractIn the perspective of the new level of government - the Metropolitan city of Naples- one of the most challenging projects concerns the redevelopment of the ex-industrial areas located in the eastern zone of the city, characterized by the presence of the port. One of the reasons for the slowness in which the program of urban regeneration proceed (NaplEst) is the generic identification of the demand for new functions in an area which plays a strategic role in the metropolitan context. The article, starting from an analysis of the land values in the space of the metropolitan city, wants to highlight their evolution. With reference to the land values in the peripheral areas, it is possible to see new values, more significant with regard to the past. In this new and discontinued framework of land values, a more realistic proposal for the regeneration of the retro-port is relevant: the logistic function, in accordance with the “State Plan of a first Intervention for the South industrial ports”
Progress in small x resummation
No full textI review recent theoretical progress in the resummation of small x contributions to the evolution of parton distributions, in view of its potential significance for accurate phenomenology at future colliders. I show that a consistent perturbative resummation of collinear and energy logs is now possible, and necessary if one wishes to use recent NNLO results in the HERA kinematic region
Parton distributions at the dawn of the LHC
No full textWe review basic ideas and recent developments on the determination
of the parton substructure of the nucleon in view of applications to precision
hadron collider physics. We review the way information on PDFs
is extracted from the data exploiting QCD factorisation, and discuss the
current main two approaches to parton determination (Hessian and Monte
Carlo) and their use in conjunction with different kinds of parton parameterisation.
We summarise the way different physical processes can be used
to constrain different aspects of PDFs. We discuss the meaning, determination
and use of parton uncertainties. We briefly summarise the current
state of the art on PDFs for LHC physics
