    Anisotropic diffusion for noise removal of band pass signals

    A noise removal method for band pass signals based on anisotropic diffusion algorithm is proposed in this paper. This anisotropic smoothing algorithm is for band pass signals with a constant frequency and is an extension of the anisotropic diffusion method proposed by Perona and Malik. Band pass signals are considered as complex valued vectors here. To this end, real valued band pass signals are therefore converted to complex valued signals by using Hilbert transform. An appropriate linear operator is considered here for such complex valued signals to form an anisotropic diffusion algorithm. A partial differential equation to smooth band pass noisy signals is therefore driven. The propagator of this differential equation is a complex valued Gabor filter. The algorithm proposed here demonstrates better performance for band pass noisy signals containing discontinuities in comparison with the traditional Perona-Malik (PM) algorithm and is robust at the presence of excessive noise with SNR less than unit

    An algorithm for compositional nonblocking verification of extended finite-state machines

    This paper describes an approach for compositional nonblocking verification of discrete event systems modelled as extended finite-state machines (EFSM). Previous results about finite-state machines in lock-step synchronisation are generalised and applied to EFSMs communicating via shared variables. This gives rise to an EFSM-based conflict check algorithm that composes EFSMs gradually and partially unfolds variables as needed. At each step, components are simplified using conflict-equivalence preserving abstraction. The algorithm has been implemented in the discrete event systems tool Supremica. The paper presents experimental results for the verification of two scalable manufacturing system models, and shows that the EFSM-based algorithm verifies some large models faster than previously used methods

The Publisher's final version can be found by following the DOI link.This article explores the underexamined idea of employer engagement as the institutional agency around the supply-demand relationship surrounding education and training (E&T) and VET in England (2012), arguing why VET needs are still likely to be unmet. A single case-study methodology and forty convergent interviews with high-skill employers and policy stakeholders revealed three types of highly constrained employer agencies, in England’s Northwest Bioregion, during a period when policy institutions faced restructuring and closure. The research is set against the backdrop of a previously failed and historically repeatedly revised VET institutional environment. In further addressing the lack of empirical evidence on the employer engagement problems faced by policy stakeholders during 2012, it reveals an individualised, voluntary, yet expected weak employer agency around supply-side initiatives. Also, a voluntary yet collective employer agency underpins the wider challenged efforts of policy stakeholders in engaging employers around E&T/VET, while also evident is a collective progressive employer agency around high-skill VET linked to R&D production. Discussions highlight the influence of supply-/demand-side constraints for current VET, questioning what has really changed

    ABSTRAK Gaya kelekatan merupakan suatu ikatan emosional yang kuat yang dikembangkan anak melalui interaksinya dengan orang yang mempunyai arti khusus dalam kehidupannya, biasanya orang tua. Adapun gaya kelekatan ini mempunyai 3 variasi, yaitu gaya kelekatan aman, gaya kelekatan cemas, dan gaya kelekatan menghindar. Gaya kelekatan merupakan salah satu sumber adanya perbedaan tentang penyesuaian sosial seseorang, yaitu kemampuan individu dalam menyesuaikan antara kondisi diri dengan keadaan lingkungan agar muncul hubungan yang selaras antara dirinya dengan lingkungannya sehingga individu dapat diterima oleh lingkungan sosialnya dan dapat mengembangkan sikap sosial yang baik. Penelitian ini dilakukan di fakultas Psikologi UIN Maliki Malang, dengan tujuan (1) Untuk mengetahui gaya kelekatan mahasiswa baru Fakultas Psikologi UIN Maulana Malik Ibrahim Malang Tahun Akademik 2009, (2) Untuk mengetahui tingkat penyesuaian sosial mahasiswa baru Fakultas Psikologi UIN Maulana Malik Ibrahim Malang Tahun Akademik 2009, (3) Untuk mengetahui apakah ada pengaruh gaya kelekatan terhadap penyesuaian sosial pada mahasiswa baru di Fakultas Psikologi UIN Maulana Malik Ibrahim Malang Tahun Akademik 2009. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kuantitatif. Subyek penelitian berjumlah 88 responden yang dipilih dengan menggunakan purposive random sampling. Dalam pengumpulan data, peneliti menggunakan metode skala. Analisa data penelitian ini menggunakan teknik analisa simple linier regression, dengan bantuan SPSS versi 15.0 for Windows. Hasil dari penelitian yang dilakukan, diketahui bahwa (1) Mahasiswa baru fakultas Psikologi UIN Maulana Malik Ibrahim Malang yang memiliki gaya kelekatan aman sebanyak 38 mahasiswa dengan prosentase sebesar 43.18%, gaya kelekatan cemas sebanyak 25 Mahasiswa dengan prosentase sebesar 28.41%, dan gaya kelekatan menghindar sebanyak 25 mahasiswa dengan prosentase sebesar 28.41%, (2) Mayoritas penyesuaian sosial mahasiswa baru fakultas Psikologi UIN Maulana Malik Ibrahim Malang berada pada tingkat sedang dengan presentase 55.7%, (3) Diketahui pula bahwa gaya kelekatan aman (F = 25,895 dengan p = 0,000), gaya kelekatan cemas (F = 31,098 dengan p = 0,000), dan gaya kelekatan menghindar (F=33,128 dengan p = 0,000) berpengaruh terhadap penyesuaian sosial mahasiswa baru fakultas Psikologi UIN Maulana Malik Ibrahim Malang tahun akademik 2009. ABSTRACT This study is done in Faculty of Psychology, UIN Maliki Malang. The objectives of the study are (1) to know the attachment style of the freshman in Faculty of Psychology, Maulana Malik Ibrahim State Islamic University (UIN) of Malang on 2009 academic year, (2) to know the social adjustment degree of the freshman in Faculty of Psychology, Maulana Malik Ibrahim State Islamic University (UIN) of Malang on 2009 academic year, (3) to determine whether there is influence between the attachment style and the social adjustment of the freshman in Faculty of Psychology, Maulana Malik Ibrahim State Islamic University (UIN) of Malang on 2009 academic year. This study uses quantitative method. The subject of the study is 88 respondents who are selected using purposive random sampling. In gathering the data, the researcher uses scale method. The data analysis using linear regression analysis techniques that is helped by SPSS 15.0 version for Windows. From the result of the study, it is known that (1) the freshman in Faculty of Psychology, UIN Malang Maulana Maliki Ibrahim who has the safety attachment style is 38 students with the percentage is 43.18%, has the anxiousness attachment style is 25 students with the percentage is 28.41%, and has the avoiding attachment style is 25 students with percentage is 28.41%, (2) the social adjustment majority of the freshman in Faculty of Psychology, UIN Malang Maulana Malik Ibrahim is in medium degree with the percentage is 55.7%, (3) Also note that the secure attachment style (F = 25 895 with p = 0.000). anxious attachment style (F = 31 098 with p = 0.000), and avoidance attachment style (f = 33.128 with p = 0.000) effect on social adjustment of new students of psychology faculty UIN Malang Maulana Malik Ibrahim academic year 2009

    INDONESIA: Banyaknya Program kerja yang harus dilaksanakan oleh pengurus Dewan Eksekutif Mahasiswa Fakultas (DEMA-F) Psikologi mengharuskan mereka untuk cerdas dalam berkomunikasi interpersonal dengan pengurus lain maupun orang luar. Karena komunikasi interpersonal merupakan komponen penting dalam sebuah organisasi maka perlu dicari penyebab dari rendahnya tingkat komunikasi interpersonal antar pengurus DEMA-Fakultas Psikologi. Apakah memang komunikasi interpersonal pengurus terlaksana atas otonomi, relasi dan kompetensi yang dimiliki. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengetahui; 1) tinkat determinasi diri pengurus dewan eksekutif mahasiswa fakultas (DEMA-F) Psikologi Universitas Islam Negeri Maulana Malik Ibrahim Malang; 2) tinkat komunikasi interpersonal pengurus dewan eksekutif mahasiswa fakultas (DEMA-F) Psikologi Universitas Islam Negeri Maulana Malik Ibrahim Malang; 3) adakah pengaruh determinasi diri terhadap komunikasi interpersonal pengurus dewan eksekutif mahasiswa fakultas (DEMA-F) Psikologi Universitas Islam Negeri Maulana Malik Ibrahim Malang Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kuantitatif, dengan mengambil subjek pengurus DEMA-F Psikologi UIN Malang tahun 2018 dengan populasi berjumlah 143 pengurus yang kemudian diambil sampel menggunkan rumus slovin berjumlah 93 pengurus. Pengambilan data menggunakan skala analisis regresi dibantu dengan Softwere SPSS for Windows Berdasarkan hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan tingkat Detrminasi Diri dan Komunikasi Interpersonal pengurus berada pada kategori Sedang. Hasil penelitian ini diketahui nilai koefiensi determinasi (R Square) yang didapat adalah R2=0.602 dengan memiliki arti bahwa determinasi diri memberikan sumbangsih efektif sebesar 60% terhadap komunikasi interpersonal, sedangkan 40% sisanya dipengaruhi oleh variable lain. Determinasi diri mepunyai pengaruh terhadap komunikasi interpersonal pengurus DEMA-Fakultas Psikologo tahun 2018 ENGLISH: The number of work programs that must be carried out by the board of the Faculty of Psychology Student Executive Board requires them to be intelligent in interpersonal communication with other administrators and outsiders. Because interpersonal communication is an important component in an organization, it is necessary to look for the causes of the low level of interpersonal communication between administrators of the Faculty of Psychology Student Executive Board. Is it true that the management of interpersonal communication is carried out on the basis of autonomy, relatedness and competencies. The aims of this study is to find out; 1) knowing the level of self-determination of the executive board of the faculty of psychology at the State Islamic University of Maulana Malik Ibrahim Malang; 2) knowing the level of interpersonal communication of the executive board of the faculty of psychology students at the State Islamic University of Maulana Malik Ibrahim Malang; 3) is there an influence of self-determination on interpersonal communication of the executive board of the faculty of psychology at the State Islamic University of Maulana Malik Ibrahim Malang This study uses a quantitative method, by taking the subject of the executive board of psychology students at UIN Malang in 2018 with a population of 143 administrators who are then taken 93 administrators using slovin formulas. Data retrieval uses a regression analysis scale assisted by SPSS for Windows software Based on the results of this study indicate the level of Self Determination and Interpersonal Communication administrators are in the Medium category. The results of this study note that the coefficient of determination (R Square) obtained is R2 = 0.602 by means that self-determination provides an effective contribution of 60% to interpersonal communication, while the remaining 40% is influenced by other variables.     Do structural breaks in volatility cause spurious volatility transmission?

    We show through extensive Monte Carlo simulations that structural breaks in volatility (volatility shifts) across two independently generated return series cause spurious volatility transmission when estimated with popular bivariate GARCH models. However, using a dummy variable for the induced volatility shift virtually eliminates this bias. We also show that structural breaks in volatility have a substantial impact on the estimated hedge ratios. We confirm our simulation findings using the US stock market data

(2) Pengaruh Lingkungan Keluarga terhadap minat berwirausaha mahasiswa IPS Universitas Islam Negeri Maulana Malik Ibrahim Malang.(3) Pengaruh Mata Kuliah Kewirausahaan dan Lingkungan Keluarga Terhadap Minat Berwirausaha Mahasiswa IPS Universitas Islam Negeri Maulana Malik Ibrahim Malang. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode penelitian kuantitatif untuk mendapatkan hasil yang akurat tentang Pengaruh Mata Kuliah Kewirausahaan dan Lingkungan Keluarga Terhadap Minat Berwirausaha Mahasiswa IPS Universitas Islam Negeri Maulana Malik Ibrahim Malang. Adapun jenis pendekatan yang dipakai dalam penelitian ini menggunakan jenis pendekatan korelasi. Dalam pengumpulan data untuk kemudian di analisis, peneliti menggunakan teknik pengumpulan data kuesioner, kemudian di uji validitas dan realibiltasnya dan selanjutnya dilakukan analisis data uji regresi linier berganda dan kemudian dilakukan uji F dan uji T. Hasil dari penelitian yang sudah dilakukan dapat disimpulkan bahwa (1) tidak dapat pengaruh yang signifikan Pengaruh Mata kuliah kewirausahaan terhadap minat berwirausaha mahasiswa IPS Universitas Islam Negeri Maulana Malik Ibrahim Malang.     INDONESIA: Hasil belajar adalah hasil yang didapat mahasiswa setelah melakukan aktivitas belajarnya yang dinyatakan dalam bentuk nilai angka atau huruf. Peningkatan hasil belajar dapat dicapai dengan memerhatikan beberapa aspek baik aspek internal maupun eksternal. Faktor internal berasal dari diri sendiri seperti bagaimana caranya mengelola waktu dengan baik agar memaksimalkan hasil belajar dan faktor eksternal yaitu lingkungan kampus. Salah satunya keikutsertaaan berorganisasi dimana mahasiswa dapat mengembangkan bakat, menambah pengalaman, dan bisa berorganisasi dengan orang lain. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk (1) menjelaskan pengaruh keikutsertaan berorganisasi terhadap hasil belajar mahasiswa jurusan Pendidikan IPS Universitas Islam Negeri Maulana Malik Ibrahim Malang, (2) menjelaskan pengaruh manajemen waktu terhadap hasil belajar mahasiswa jurusan Pendidikan IPS Universitas Islam Negeri Maulana Malik Ibrahim Malang, (3) menjelaskan pengaruh keikutsertaan berorganisasi dan manajemen waktu terhadap hasil belajar mahasiswa jurusan Pendidikan IPS Universitas Islam Negeri Maulana Malik Ibrahim Malang. Penelitian menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif. Populasi yang digunakan yaitu mahasiswa juurusan Pendidikan IPS tahun angkatan 2015 sampai dengan tahun angkatan 2018 sebanyak 212 mahasiswa. Sampel penelitian ini berjumlah 139 mahasiswa. Teknik pengumpulan data dalam penelitian ini adalah kuesioner/ angket dan wawancara. Kuesioner/ angket diuji menggunakan uji validitas dan reliabilitas. Teknik analisis data penelitian ini adalah analisis statistik deskriptif, uji asumsi klasik, analisis regresi linier berganda, uji hipotesis dengan uji t dan uji F. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukan bahwa (1) keikutsertaan berorganisasi memiliki pengaruh positif signifikan terhadap hasil belajar mahasiswa jurusan Pendidikan IPS Universitas Islam Negeri Maulana Malik Ibrahim Malang, (2) manajemen waktu memiliki pengaruh positif signifikan terhadap hasil belajar mahasiswa jurusan Pendidikan IPS Universitas Islam Negeri Maulana Malik Ibrahim Malang, (3) keikutsertaan berorganisasi dan manajemen waktu berpengaruh positif signifikan terhadap hasil belajar mahasiswa jurusan Pendidikan IPS Universitas Islam Negeri Maulana Malik Ibrahim Malang. The improvement of the result of learning can be achieved by several internal and external aspects. One of the benefits in joining the organization is to be able to develop talent, add experience, and organize with others. The objectives of this research are (1) to explain the influence of the participation in organizations of social science education department students’ learning in Universitas Islam Negeri Maulana Malik Ibrahim Malang (2) to explain the influence of time management on the results of social science education department students’ learning in Universitas Islam Negeri Maulana Malik Ibrahim Malang (3) to explain the effect of the participation in organizations and management of time management toward the results of social science education department students’ learning in Universitas Islam Negeri Maulana Malik Ibrahim Malang. This research uses a quantitative approach. The population used is the Social Sciences Education Departments students for 2015 to 2018 generation, for as many as 212 students. In this study, there are 139 students as samples. Data collection techniques in this research is by questionnaire. Questionnaire is tested using equivalence and reliability. This data analysis technique is descriptive statistical analysis, classic test, multiple linear regression analysis, hypothesis testing with t and F test. The results of this study indicate that (1) the participation in organizations have significantly positive influence on the results of social science education department students’ learning in Universitas Islam Negeri Maulana Malik Ibrahim Malang (2) time management has significantly positive effect the results of social science education department students’ learning in Universitas Islam Negeri Maulana Malik Ibrahim Malang (3) the participation in organizations and time management has significantly positive effects toward the results of social science education department students’ learning in Universitas Islam Negeri Maulana Malik Ibrahim Malang
