    Erma Tucker was born in Edinburg, Texas, in 1943, the oldest of six children. During Erma's youth, her parents were migrant workers, so they traveled around the United States based on harvest season. When she was fourteen or fifteen, her family moved to southwest Oklahoma, where she lives to this day. In 1964 Erma married Bob Tucker. The couple moved into their home near Hess in 1970. They have two children, Melissa and Tommy, and two grandchildren
