No full textFormer Chief Justice of the Montana Supreme Court Leif Erickson discusses his political career in Montana with particular emphasis on the leanings of Montana’s ruling economic bodies such as Montana Power, Columbia Valley Authority, Missouri Valley Authority, and the Anaconda Company. Erickson recalls running unsuccessfully as Democratic nominee in the 1944 race for Montana governor as well as the 1946 senate seat. He details his relationship with fellow Montana politicians Sam Ford, James E. Murray, and Burton K. Wheeler. Erickson describes his relationship to politics through the Roosevelt, Truman, Eisenhower, Kennedy, and Johnson presidential administrations. Domain Analysis for the Construction of a Conceptual Structure: A Case Study
No full textThis work describes the construction of a conceptual structure, as a result of the domain analysis of the current research on Benign Prostatic Hyperplasia (BPH), through different techniques based on the citations and semantic analysis. A sample which covers all published articles about the disease in mainstream journals was chosen. A total of 1,968 articles from 2000 through 2004 were retrieved from Science Citation Index. Author Co-citation Analysis (ACA) techniques and semantic analysis were used and the results were represented by different informatic programs. A macrostructure of the domain of the current research on BPH was identified through bibliometric techniques. The text mining techniques allowed validation of the identified macrostructure and the obtainment of the most frequent words in the text. The semantic analysis of the most cited reviews on BPH during the studied period allowed the definition of the categories to be used in the structure. Finally, a conceptual structure to be used as controlled (structured) language in the information retrieval, inside of a specialized information system on the approach of the disease is shown

The Portrayal of the Millennial Generation in Leif Randt's Allegro Pastell
No full textThe presented bachelor's thesis deals with the portrayal of the millennial generation in contemporary literature and focuses on the novel Allegro Pastell (2020) by the German writer Leif Randt. The millennial generation, also called Generation Y, is dealt with in academic literature as well as in fiction and its depiction can be found in several contemporary novels. The novel Allegro Pastell, which describes a long-distance relationship between two millennial protagonists, received attention and several prestigious nominations concerning its portrayal of the aforementioned generation. This thesis examines whether and to what extent the protagonists of the novel reflect their generation and compares their representation in the novel with academic literature. Furthermore, the author Leif Randt and the millennial generation are presented in this work. An in-depth analysis of the novel represents the main part of the thesis. The paper can be used to become familiar with both the novel and the topic of the millennial generation in literature. No full textThe proposition given to a product or service in terms of its worth given by a customer is researched and analysed to find the underlying factors contributing to the value. The study is undertaken to investigate the different factors that lays ground for increased ‘Customer value’ and ‘Product Value’. The research objective is to find the “Value Proposition Analysis for Solid State Lighting: a Case Study AhmedAli Ahmed Electrical Contracting; Marketing the product in the Kingdom of Bahrain” Most businesses generate profits, when the customers give a certain value(s) to the service/product provided by the business entity. This could involve many attributes to consider. The project overlooks in to this value significantly to understand the attributes that collectively contributes to ‘Valued Relation’ between the customer and the business. This is achieved by making effective use of literature suggested by various authors and by employing research strategies to validate the literature through the findings. The research also looks in to the case study organisation to fully understand the capabilities of the company to market the product. Thus, this analysis will be specifically looking in to the value proposition given to Solid State Lighting by the current UK customers and by clients of AhamedAli Ahmed Electrical Contracting, Kingdom of Bahrain. However, this analysis must viewed critically, as the product comes at a premium price and the study will be much centred in the Kingdom of Bahrain and cannot be generalised for the other GCC countries or the Middle East.
