Working Paper Ircres-CNR 12/2018.The growing complexity of our time urgently demands that the organizational culture is innovated. The traditional managerial culture, characterized by systems, procedure and control, does not help to find more and more effective solutions to organization problems. Behind this vertical structure, we can see a rationalistic, reductive vision of people and organization, considered as two independent realities. This paper shows the relationship between the organization and the workers through a new perspective, considering them as two realities that keep evolving with synergy, in an evolutionary systemic-complex vision. An innovative approach named TRASE (Training Systemic Evolutionary) is also proposed as the final elaboration of a previous one named Development-Training (Rizziato 2010). TRASE integrates the Methodology of evidential to investigate and transform the socio-organizational reality (Bekman 2007, 2014) and focuses on people and organization development in a horizontal space. This will be a space for connections between functions and hierarchies, which permit the generation of new processes and competences towards a horizontal, client oriented organization and leadership. In this horizontal space, people can find a place of self-development, thereby strengthening their responsibility and motivation. TRASE is an action research and action learning approach developed within a CNR-IRCrES and IMO Foundation action research project

This paper proposes a new methodology for training in the field of organization development, named development-training. The approach on the base of the methodology come from a research project of Ceris-CNR and the Association Motiva; it is inspired by complexity, constructivism, personalism, evolution theories for man and organization and is based on action research, creating a strong connection among lean, learning and living organization concepts and practices. The focal point is the connection between organization and individual development as way to create modern communities. Development training is an explorative, anthropocentric, participative, experimental, rhythmic, biographic, horizontal approach.training, learning, community creation, organisation and human development

Lo sviluppo locale: un approccio sistemico e generativo con la leadership orizzontale

This volume is divided in three parts. The first part proposes some reflections on local development strategies and the analyses of the critical points in the framework of EU polices, with the contribution of an expert, who had experimented concrete applications for over 30 years. He presents how was possible for him to overcome the difficult implementation of the EU LEADER approach thanks to the methodology of horizontal leadership for integrated organizations and territories (LOOI), developed in a CNR-IRCrES project. The second part describes the basics of the LOOI methodology, which proposes a systemic approach and generate new process and competences, briefly described as systemic competences and meta competences framework for a local development expert. The third part describes two application cases of the methodology: one is about a cooperation projects among 4 territories in Sicily, the other is about placement, after university, considered as a particular type of local development, connecting within a specific territory Universities, young people and organizations

Going Beyond Counting First Authors in Author Co-citation Analysis

The present study examines one of the fundamental aspects of author co-citation analysis (ACA) - the way co-citation counts are defined. Co-citation counting provides the data on which all subsequent statistical analyses and mappings are based, and we compare ACA results based on two different types of co-citation counting - the traditional type that only counts the first one among a cited work's authors on the one hand and a non-traditional type that takes into account the first 5 authors of a cited work on the other hand. Results indicate that the picture produced through this non-traditional author co-citation counting contains more coherent author groups and is therefore considerably clearer. However, this picture represents fewer specialties in the research field being studied than that produced through the traditional first-author co-citation counting when the same number of top-ranked authors is selected and analyzed. Reasons for these effects are discussed

    Variations on the Author

“Variations on the Author” discusses two of Eduardo Coutinho’s recent films (Um Dia na Vida, from 2010, and Últimas Conversas, posthumously released in 2015) and their contribution to the general question of documentary authorship. The director’s filmography is characterized by a consistent yet self-effacing form of authorial self-inscription: Coutinho often features as an interviewer that rather than express opinions propels discourses; an interviewer that is good at listening. This mode of self-inscription characterizes him as an author who is not expressive but who is nonetheless markedly present on the screen. In Um Dia na Vida, however, Coutinho is completely absent form the image, while Últimas Conversas, on the contrary, includes a confessional prologue that moves the director from the margins to the center of his films. This article examines the ways in which these works stand out in the filmography of a director who offers new insights into the notion of cinematic authorship

Appropriate Similarity Measures for Author Cocitation Analysis

We provide a number of new insights into the methodological discussion about author cocitation analysis. We first argue that the use of the Pearson correlation for measuring the similarity between authors’ cocitation profiles is not very satisfactory. We then discuss what kind of similarity measures may be used as an alternative to the Pearson correlation. We consider three similarity measures in particular. One is the well-known cosine. The other two similarity measures have not been used before in the bibliometric literature. Finally, we show by means of an example that our findings have a high practical relevance.information science;Pearson correlation;cosine;similarity measure;author cocitation analysis
