Per Enza Biagini
Studi per Enza Biagini (“Studies for Enza Biagini”) collects essays on literary theory or comparative studies, analysing a single or multiple literatures, translations, poems, stories and comics. The result is a text of pleasant and agile reading. Generations of scholars intersect, who do not belong to any academic hierarchy, and who have shared over the decades the long history and the many fields of research of Enza Biagini, also revealing the methodological rigour and the almost boundless openness that has characterized her school. At the heart of the volume is the theory of literature with its concepts and tools of analysis belonging to the tradition of rhetoric, not to be understood here as the taxonomy of tropes and figures, but as the sum of living instances (linguistic, literary, philosophical, semiotic, ideological) which are the bearers of fundamental questions

In\ua0Studi per Enza Biagini\ua0sono confluiti\ua0saggi di teoria o di comparatistica, affondi in una singola letteratura o in\ua0pi\uf9 letterature, traduzioni, poesie, racconti e fumetti che\ua0costruiscono un\ua0testo di piacevole e agile lettura. Storicizzare. Dell’individuo (letterario e no) culturalmente concreto
This article discusses the need for historiographical i.e. narrative acts to be underpinned by a specific theory. With reference to the work of György Lukács, Benedetto Croce, Jean-Paul Sartre, Enza Biagini and Dominique Maingueneau, the author takes up a stance enabling her to acknowledge ongoing engagement to the narrativization of language-being as a constitutive feature of individual identity and culture. As a momentous advance this commitment is treated systematically in its “historical-universal” coverage

L’interprete e il traduttore
What is a comment? What does it mean to interpret a text? What are the skills and methods used by great masters such as Auerbach, Spitzer, Sontag, Segre, Adelia Noferi, Contini, Barthes and Raimondi in their dialogue with the ancient and new hermeneutic theories? What kind of relationship is established between message/text and commentator? What is the common ground where the act of interpreting and that of translating end up meeting? Enza Biagini wonders about these fundamental questions while, between comment and commentary, she carries out an articulated and complex study on one of the major arts born for and around reading: translation. A demanding game is indeed played between interpreter and translator, which Enza Biagini analyses and discusses with great theoretical knowledge, crossing Italian and French experiments, original texts and anthologies, with the aim of verifying theories on the field of literature which, as such, is based on an endless quest for the interpretation of meaning
