Decreasing Earth Thrust with EPS Geofoam
Abstract The basic function of retaining walls is to support soil backfill and water. This function has to be adequate under different conditions of loading; with permissible deformations. Researches are addressing the reduction of the exerted lateral earth thrust and water pressures to satisfy the adequacy in reasonable costs. Expanded polystyrene geofoam, EPSG, is the most popular material adopted to decrease lateral earth thrust on retaining walls. This paper presents an article review on researches of this aspect. Equations were proposed for reduction in lateral forces and overturning moments. Its aim is to optimize the design of 8.0 m gravity retaining wall with installation of EPSG

ناووس الملك داريوس الأول بمتحف ملوى رقم (200) [Ar] ناووس صغير من الخشب الملون والمغطى بالجص، بشكل صندوقى يعلوه كورنيش كافيتو فى منتصفه قرص الشمس المجنح رمز المعبود «حورس البحدتي»، يرجع تاريخه لعهد الملك دارا الأول فى مصر، ثم ُأعيد استخدامه فى العصر اليوناني الرومانى حيث عثر عليه بتونة الجبل. يهدف البحث هنا إلى دراسة ونشر الناووس عن طريق دراسة المناظر المصورة عليه، وترجمة النص الموجود عليه، كما أن هناك تعليقاً عاماً على الرسوم والزخارف والألوان الخاصة بالناووس وكذلك الآلهة وأوضاعها على جوانبه، ومن خلال الدراسة يمكن للباحثة أن تستنج ملمح من ملامح تأثير الفن المصري على الفرس أثناء تواجدهم فى مصر. [En] The target of this paper is the study of a small colored wooden sarcophagus covered with plaster. It took the shape of a box, topped bya cavetto cornice, in the middle of which is a winged sun disk, the symbol of the god «Horus Behedeti». It dates back to the reign of King « Darius I» in Egypt, and then was reused in the Greco-Roman era, when it was found in«Tuna al-Gabel». This research aims to study and publish the sarcophagus by studying the scenes depicted on it, and translating the text on it. The author will undertake a general comment on the drawings, decorations and colors of the sarcophagus, as well as the gods and their condition. Through this study, the researcher could deduce the influence of Egyptian art on Persians in Egypt
Developing Wall treatments using the concept of Mural Painting for modern Islamic Architecture.
This research examines some of the practical applications implemented on the architecture of the West and influenced by the element of Islamic ornament, and also inspired by Islamic art.
The research here focuses on the study of plastic solutions offered by contemporary painters and artists away from the known stereotypes of Islamic art.
If we look at Islamic architecture, we do not present Islamic heritage in the logic of contemporary wall painting associated with the spatial determinants and the vocabulary of the architecture itself, to the extent that we did not get a single mural using the element of Islamic decoration, and all that was presented to us either influenced by different civilizations, or treatments showing the role of the material itself, or Typical repetition of Islamic ornament.
Architecture in general consists of architectural and structural elements as well as some complementary elements that play an aesthetic and functional role in the architectural space to give a sense of comfort and beauty and be architecturally interconnected, and has an aesthetic an utilitarian role.
Therefore, there must be a formative link between Islamic architecture murals, and paintings presented to them, think a lot about the Islamic architecture and decorations that we are accustomed to see, provide formulation and proposed solutions that rise to the logic of mural photography, and work to create a new architecture of a special character in which we go beyond the traditional framework and create a large budget between design, shape and architectural elements, and trying to reach new conclusions creates a link between Islamic mural and the architecture applied to it, after taking a more extensive look at the western architecture affected by Islamic art ,and formative solutions that elevate Islamic painting to the logic of mural painting, and obtain Islamic murals closer to contemporary thought and concept, as well as showcasing attempts by contemporary artists to solve this problem.
It is necessary to emphasize the role of the element of Islamic ornament, whether geometric or free in contemporary mural painting, and to add aesthetic dimensions to traditional Islamic treatments with the logic of mural painting and to produce works connected with the form, the environment and the architecture
Albert Cossery (une oeuvre, deux mondes)
Ce travail de recherche est centré sur une étude culturelle, thématique et linguistique des œuvres d'Albert Cossery afin de découvrir sa philosophie dans la vie et son idéologie bien qu'il se défende d'en avoir une. Cet écrivain égyptien a choisi de vivre à Paris et d'écrire en langue française, ce qui lui permet d'étendre son œuvre à un public plus large, car il cherche à comprendre l'homme universel et la vie dans l'univers. Nous découvrons pourquoi et comment Cossery met la paresse comme mode de vie qui, en fait, n'est qu'une forme d'oisiveté indispensable à la réflexion. La lecture de ces œuvres nous mène à dire que cet auteur n'a jamais écrit qu'un seul livre : des fables orientales, de petits manuels de savoir-vivre où des mendiants philosophes tournent en dérision l'absurdité du monde et la tyrannie des puissants. Son œuvre est donc une comédie humaine, ses personnages vivent dans un monde de violence et il les regarde avec dérision ; mais il les dépeint sans haine.This research task is centered on a cultural, thematic and linguistic study of Albert Cossery's novels in order to discover his philosophy in the life and his ideology although he denied to have one of them. This Egyptian writer chose to live in Paris and to write in French language what enables him to extend his novels to a larger audience because he seeks to understand the universal man and the life in the universe. We discover why and how Cossery puts the idleness like way of life which, in fact, is only one form of essential idleness to the reflexion. The reading of these novels carries out us to say that this author wrote only one book : Eastern fables, small handbooks of good manners where philosophical beggars turn in derision the nonsense of the world and the tyranny of the powerful ones. Effect of video-assisted prehabilitation program on patient’s outcomes undergoing coronary artery bypass grafting
Background: Cardiovascular rehabilitation is a safe and efficient method of treating patients who have experienced cardiac problems. It also, can improve cardiac patients' physical fitness and considerably lower their mortality rates among patients undergoing coronary artery bypass graft (CABG) surgery. The study aimed to evaluate the effect of a video-assisted prehabilitation program on patient's outcomes undergoing coronary artery bypass grafting. Research design: A quasi-experimental research approach was used to achieve the aim of this study. Setting: The study was conducted in the cardiothoracic surgery department at Mansoura University Hospital. Subject: A convenient sample included 80 adult patients having coronary artery bypass graft was included in the current study within six months. Five tools were utilized for data collection: Tool (I): A structured interview questionnaire, Tool (II): Patient’s knowledge regarding coronary artery bypass graft (pre/post). Tool (III): Patient’s practice regarding exercises post coronary artery bypass graft (pre/post), Tool (IV): Assessment of physical activity and functional capacity for the patient (Six-minute walking test, Borg Rating of Perceived Exertion (RPE). Results: The majority of patients reported that the main source of information regarding their knowledge about coronary artery bypass was doctors. 
Influence of nanoparticles addition on the fatigue failure behavior of metal matrix composites : Comprehensive review
AbstractLight-weight, high-strength metal matrix composites (MMCs) have been gaining prominence in various industrial applications in which the materials are exposed to static and dynamic loading conditions. Unfortunately, micron-sized MMCs frequently encounter challenges such as particle breakage and debonding at the reinforcement-matrix interface, resulting in premature failure due to the decline in their mechanical properties, making them impractical to be utilized in some crucial applications. On the other hand, metal matrix nanocomposites (MMNCs) have been proven to improve strength, ductility, and fracture toughness characteristics, which are greatly beneficial in various industrial applications such as automotive, aerospace structures, and biomaterials. This review provides a comprehensive insight into the effect of nanoparticle addition on the fatigue performance of metals and alloys. Firstly, special attention has been given to the factors influencing the fatigue life of MMNCs. Secondly, the effect of nanoparticle incorporation on the fatigue performance of common metal matrixes, including aluminum, magnesium, titanium, and steel alloys, is reviewed in detail. Finally, a summary of this review and the future aspects related to the behavior of metals with nanoparticles at cyclic loading is provided.Abstract

Lifetime prevalence, risk, and treatment of mood and anxiety disorders in Qatar's national mental health study
Objectives: To estimate lifetime prevalence, risk, and treatment for mental disorders and their correlates in Qatar's general population for the first time. Methods: We conducted a national phone survey of 5,195 Qatari and Arab residents in Qatar (2019-2022) using the Composite International Diagnostic Interview Version 3.3 and estimated lifetime mood and anxiety defined diagnoses. Survival-based discrete time models, lifetime morbid risk, and treatment projections were estimated. Results: Lifetime prevalence of any disorder was 28.0% and was associated with younger cohorts, females, and migrants, but lower formal education. Treatment contact in the year of disorder onset were 13.5%. The median delay in receiving treatment was 5 years (IQR=2-13). Lifetime treatment among those with a lifetime disorder were 59.9% for non-healthcare and 63.5% for healthcare; it was 68.1% for any anxiety and 80.1% for any mood disorder after 50 years of onset. Younger cohorts and later age of onset were significantly predictors of treatment. Conclusions: Lifetime prevalence of mental disorders in Qatar is comparable to other countries. Treatment is significantly delayed and delivered largely in non-healthcare sectors thus the need for increased literacy of mental illness to reduce stigma and improve earlier help-seeking in healthcare settings.This survey was conducted by the Social and Economic Survey Research Institute (SESRI) of Qatar University, as one of the component of the World Mental Health study in Qatar. A communications system consists of interconnected telecommunications networks, transmission systems, relay stations, tributary stations, and terminal equipment. Increasing network limits to fulfill the developing needs of consumers has prompted the advancement of cell correspondence networks from 1G to 5G. Many heterogeneous connections request higher information rates, lesser postponements, improved framework limit, and predominant throughput. ”The efficacy of oral versus intravenous tranexamic acid in functional endoscopic sinus surgery”. A prospective, randomized, controlled trial
Functional endoscopic sinus surgery (FESS) is a common procedure for the treatment of chronic sinusitis and minimal bleeding inside the narrow surgical field affects the surgical visualization, prolongs operative time, and increases ocular and intracranial injuries. Our study aims to evaluate and compare the effectiveness of oral versus intravenous Tranexamic acid on surgical field bleeding in endoscopic sinus surgery. A prospective, randomized, controlled trial enrolled 159 participants (ASA I-II, both sex and age 18–40 years) undergoing FESS who were equally randomized into 3 groups. Group O received 2 gm of TXA orally 2 hours before surgery, Group I received 15 mg/kg of IV TXA slowly after induction of anesthesia, and Group C didn’t receive any. Intraoperative surgical field bleeding was assessed by the Wormald grading scale and Surgeon satisfaction on a 5-point Likert scale. At 24 hours post-operatively, the incidence of nasal bleeding, PONV, and D-dimer level were recorded. Showed significantly higher surgical field score, duration of surgery, recovery time, and postoperative (24 hours) D-dimer in group-C (p-value Oral TXA was safe, cheap, and as effective as IV TXA regarding surgical field visualization, surgeon satisfaction, and operative time during FESS; with limited adverse effects and no evidence of thromboembolic complications.</p
