Ayesha Dean’s Bravery In Seville: Fearless as a Path to Maturity
This research analyzes the psychoanalytic characterization that focuses on the decisions made by Ayesha Dean when handling cases in Melati Lum's novel Ayesha Dean and the Seville Secret (2019). This study uses a descriptive qualitative method and applies Sigmund Freud's psychoanalysis theory (1923), which covers the id, ego, and superego. This study finds how Ayesha Dean copes and makes quick decisions while navigating as a detective handling a major case. This research highlights three main points, namely the unconscious desire (id), rational actions (ego), and how morality and conscience work (superego). The author concludes that the actions taken by the main character cannot be separated from the role of the people around her and her strong faith in God. Ayesha's intelligence and courage support how her character is developed through each case she solves. The author hopes that future research will provide a more in-depth analysis and explore more about the character of Muslim girls who have extraordinary abilities in solving these criminal cases
Perlindungan Hukum Terhadap Data Pribadi Pengguna Aplikasi Penyedia Jasa Layanan Publik Pedulilindungi
apabila data pribadi masyarakat megalami kebocoran.
In the midst of the current Covid-19 pandemic, all countries including
Indonesia are looking for many efforts to suppress the spread of the COVID-19
virus, one of the efforts that have been made by the Government of Indonesia is to
create the PeduliLindung application. In the PeduliLindung application, the public
will be asked for data in the form of Full Name, Population Identification Number
(NIK), and Telephone Number. The PeduliLindung application can be used if the
public has provided their personal data. The PeduliLindung application will
provide facilities in the form of providing online certificates and application users
will be given information regarding the locations they want to visit to avoid crowds
so that the spread of COVID-19 can be minimized. However, behind the
convenience provided by the government through the PeduliLindung application,
this has not been able to guarantee the security of the public's personal data when
using the PeduliLindugi application.
The research method that the author uses is a normative juridical research
with a statutory approach. In research using this method, the authors analyze the
legal protection for public personal data when using the PeduliLindungi public
service provider application and what the legal liability of service providers will be
if the public's personal data is leaked.
The results of the research that the authors obtained in conducting the
research are that the Legal Protection of PeduliLindung application users in this
case regarding the public's Personal Data can be reviewed based on the Agreement
(Terms and Conditions contained in the application) and based on the provisions
of the legislation in force in Indonesia. In the event that the PeduliLindugi public
service provider fails to ensure the security of the public's personal data, the responsibility of the service provider can be reviewed from the Consumer
Protection Law, PP PSTE, Permenkominfo, ITE Law and the law on Public
Services
Stem cell research in Indonesia from 2003 to 2022: A bibliometrics analysis
Context: Stem cell research has become popular in Indonesia for more than a decade. The scope of research involves in vitro to animal studies as well as human trials. However, no evidence proved its trend.
Aims: To analyze the trends and patterns of stem cell research in Indonesia from 2003 to 2022 using a bibliometric analysis of the Scopus database.
Methods: The data for the paper were retrieved from Scopus and then analyzed using bibliometrics. Statistical data analysis was performed.
Results: The results showed that stem cell research in Indonesia has been increasing steadily over the years, with the majority of publications focusing on “Medicine”, “Biochemistry, Genetics, and Molecular Biology” and “Pharmacology, Toxicology, and Pharmaceutics”. It was found that a total of 260 related articles had been published. Rantam was identified as the most productive author, and the authorship network analysis identified nine clusters of authors. The keywords “stem cells”, “culture”, “proliferation”, “differentiation”, and “tissue engineering” were the most frequently used in the publications analyzed.
Conclusions: Overall, this study provides valuable insights into the development of stem cell research in Indonesia and may inform future research and funding decisions in this field
Patterns of reduced cortical thickness and striatum pathological morphology in cocaine addiction
AbstractSubstance addiction is regarded as an important public health problem, perpetuated by fronto-striatal circuit pathology. A usual finding in neuroimaging human and murine studies is cortical thinning and lower volume when compared to healthy controls. In this study we wished to replicate cortical thinning findings and find if striatum morphology may explain the cortical pathology. For this we analyzed T1w neuroimaging data from an ongoing addiction Mexican dataset. This dataset includes cocaine addicts diagnosed by expert psychiatrists and healthy controls. For the analysis we used voxel-based morphometry, cortical thickness and volumetric analysis of the basal ganglia, and we correlated striatum volume with cortical thickness to find pathological patterns. Our group contrast showed cortical thinning and striatum volume differences in cocaine addicts correlated to their years of substance use, craving and age. Our correlation between striatum-cortex morphology showed higher significant correlations in healthy controls, not observed in cocaine addicts. The correlation between striatum volume and cortical thickness in healthy controls involved similar areas as those shown with less cortical thickness in cocaine addicts. We suggest that striatum morphological changes in addiction may explain the pattern of cortical thinning observed across several substances addiction studies.Research Data Related to this SubmissionData sethttps://zenodo.org/record/1409808#.W5E3oCOZPIF Patterns of reduced cortical thickness and striatum pathological morphology in cocaine addictionThis dataset includes all the data and scripts needed to reproduce the analysis and results on the manuscript “Patterns of reduced cortical thickness and striatum pathological morphology in cocaine addiction” (link). The brain data is not raw, as T1w were not defaced. We will do so in the near future for version 2.0. Instead we include only the “output/thickness” files used in the final analysis.
