The essays and speeches serve as good sources of reference on South Carolina educators such as James Lide Coker, founder of Coker College, and Mary E. Frayser, home economist and clubwoman. The collection also contains newspaper and other articles. There are also program notes and reports on the Diocese of Upper South Carolina Episcopal Church, of which Dr. Johnson was the director, and on The International Federation of University Women.
