EKMO komandas izveide pamatojas uz nepieciešamību veselības aprūpes iestādē veidot organizētu un pieejamu mūsdienīgas ārstēšanas metodes izmantošanu, ko šobrīd ir aktualizējusi COVID – 19 izraisītā Pasaules pandēmija, to izmantojot kā galējo ārstēšanas metodi šai saslimšanai.
Pētījuma uzdevumi ir: (1) izpētīt EKMO komandas lomu un uzdevumus veselības aprūpes iestādē; (2) noskaidrot darbinieku un ekspertu viedokli par iestādes gatavību veidot EKMO komandu, kā arī nepieciešamajiem priekšnosacījumiem, tās sastāvu; (3) izveidot darbības algoritmu un definēt komandas sastāvu; (4) noteikt darbinieku noslodzes rādītājus izmantojot Personāla noslodzes rādītāju noteikšanas metodi (PVO,2010), (angliski - Workload Indicators of Staffing Need , WISN).
Darba autors pētījumam izvirzījis pētījuma jautājumus: (1) kāda ir EKMO komandas uzbūve un dalībnieku loma?; (2) kādi ir iestādes resursu iespējas un gatavība veidot EKMO komandu?; (3) kādi ir EKO komandas izveides priekšnosacījumi?; (4) cik daudz un kādi darbinieki nepieciešami nepārtrauktai EKMO komandas darbībai?
Lai sasniegtu izvirzīto mērķi un uzdevumus, darba autors analizējis zinātnisko literatūru, veicis P.Stradiņa KUS darbinieku aptauju un ekspertu intervijas, veicis nepieciešamo personālresursu aprēķinus, kā arī realizējis pilotpētījuma gadījuma analīzi.
Pētījumā secināts, ka izmantojot šī brīža personālresursus un līdzšinējo pieredzi, ir iespējams veidot EKMO komandu pamatojoties uz nepieciešamība paplašināt veikto gadījumu skaitu. Autors secina, ka šobrīd būtu jāaktualizē personāla apmācību statuss, kā arī jāpalielina personāla skaits, pastāvot augstai personāla noslodzei. Iegūtie darba rezultāti var tikt veiksmīgi izmantoti, kad tiks veidota ne tikai EKMO komanda, bet arī EKMO centrs.
Edgars Prozorovska profesionālās maģistra studiju programmas ‘’Veselības vadība’’, noslēguma darbs izstrādāts Rīgas Stradiņa universitātē PhD. Daigas Behmanes vadībā, laikā posmā no 2020.gada oktobra līdz 2021.gada aprīļa mēnesim. Noslēguma darba apjoms ir 89 lpp., to veido 21 attēls un 23 tabulas. Literatūrā izmantojamo avotu daudzums – 57 avoti.

The aim is based on the need to create a more organized usage of a modern method of treatment, which is updated by the worldwide Covid-19 pandemic, considering that ECMO is a last resort treatment method that can be used to minimize the mortality of this disease and its comorbidities
The objectives of the thesis are: (1) to evaluate the role and tasks of ECMO team in a healthcare institution; (2) to find out the opinion of healthcare workers and experts about the need for an ECMO team, its actions and components; (3) to create algorithms and to define the components of an ECMO team; (4) to analyse personnel workload with the Workload Indicators of Staffing Need (WISN) method.
The objectives are tied to an analysis of a healthcare institution, and the author has raised research questions: (1) what is the structure of the EKMO team and the role of the health professionals? (2) what are the resources and readiness of the institution to form a team? (3) what prerequisites are required? (4) how many and what staff are needed for the continuous work of the ECMO team?
To reach the objectives, the author has formed the thesis in four parts by analysing literature sources, gathered both survey-based data and interviews from existing personnel and healthcare experts, has calculated personnel workload, as well as realized and analysed data from a pilot study regarding ECMO cases.
The thesis concludes that it is possible to create an ECMO team in this healthcare institution by using existing personnel resources and that more ECMO cases should be analysed thoroughly. However, it is needed to update the education and training of the personnel as well as to increase its numbers due to high workload.

The Master Thesis consists of 89 pages, 21 charts / pictures, 23 tables and 57 literature sources.

Going Beyond Counting First Authors in Author Co-citation Analysis

counts are defined. Co-citation counting provides the data on which all subsequent statistical analyses and mappings
are based, and we compare ACA results based on two different types of co-citation counting - the traditional type that
only counts the first one among a cited work's authors on the one hand and a non-traditional type that takes into
account the first 5 authors of a cited work on the other hand. Results indicate that the picture produced through this non-traditional author co-citation counting contains more coherent author groups and is therefore considerably clearer. However, this picture represents fewer specialties in the research field being studied than that produced through the traditional first-author co-citation counting when the same number of top-ranked authors is selected and analyzed. Reasons for these effects are discussed

Get PDF“Variations on the Author” discusses two of Eduardo Coutinho’s recent films (Um Dia na Vida, from 2010, and Últimas Conversas, posthumously released in 2015) and their contribution to the general question of documentary authorship. The director’s filmography is characterized by a consistent yet self-effacing form of authorial self-inscription: Coutinho often features as an interviewer that rather than express opinions propels discourses; an interviewer that is good at listening. This mode of self-inscription characterizes him as an author who is not expressive but who is nonetheless markedly present on the screen. In Um Dia na Vida, however, Coutinho is completely absent form the image, while Últimas Conversas, on the contrary, includes a confessional prologue that moves the director from the margins to the center of his films. This article examines the ways in which these works stand out in the filmography of a director who offers new insights into the notion of cinematic authorship
Appropriate Similarity Measures for Author Cocitation Analysis

We first argue that the use of the Pearson correlation for measuring the similarity between authors’ cocitation profiles is not very satisfactory. We then discuss what kind of similarity measures may be used as an alternative to the Pearson correlation. We consider three similarity measures in particular. One is the well-known cosine. The other two similarity measures have not been used before in the bibliometric literature. Note that the objective for the hut study was to evaluate the IRS treatment applications for residual efficacy against Anopheles mosquitoes, including the local An. coluzzii mosquito population. Cows were only used to attract mosquitoes into the huts and no tests were carried out directly on the cows. The author checklist is intended for use with studies where experiments are carried out on animals, which is why we have had such difficulty in completing this for the hut study, as many of the questions do not relate to how the cows were used
