Problema protocronismului. Precizări
We are dealing with the ultimate variant of the Romanian Protochronism theory, conceived by the scholar Edgar Papu (1908-1993), reproduced serially in the newspaper “Românul” between March and July 1991. His idea about the Romanian aesthetic forms anticipating or preparing currents, motives or procedures that were later to be experienced and dealt with by the Western culture was published twice before (1977 and 1989), but this one is the first uncensored text diffused after the fall of the communist regime in Romania. Running chronologically, the paper starts with a 16th c. work – contemporary to Machiavelli’s The Prince (1513) – due to the Lord of Walachia, Néagoé Bassarab, entitled The Lectures meant for his son Theodosius (1519-1521), which establishes a canon of reigning principles and skills at hand to his heir to the throne, considered by the author Edgar Papu to anticipate the appearance of the Baroque type of “hombre secreto” described in the treaties of the Jesuit monk Baltasar Gracián, called El Discreto (1646) and Oráculo manual y arte de prudencia (1647). At the beginning of the 18th c., he discovers that the writings of the noble scholar Demeter Cantemïr (prince of Moldavia), entitled Hieroglyphic History (1705, published in 1883), foreshadows the Byronian type of Romanticism (illustrated by many masterpieces as Alfred de Vigny’s Moses, Mihaïl Lermontov’s The Demon, Eugene Onegin by Aleksandr Pushkin, Mihaï Eminescu’s poem The Morning Star or Thus Spoke Zarathustra by Friedrich Nietzsche). The History of the Ottoman Empire (1714-1716) by the same Demeter Cantemïr influenced Montesquieu’s historiographical method in conceiving his book, called Considerations on the Causes of the Greatness of the Romans and their Decline (1734). As we near to the present day, the author Edgar Papu highlights more than 50 autochthonous works that possess different anticipating virtues, finding an increased frequency of Romanian writers capable of protruding their own principles and aesthetic solutions in other literary fields (Ion Heliade[1]Rădulescu, Mihai Eminescu, Ion Creangă, Al. Macedonski, George Bacovia, Mateiu Caragiale, Liviu Rebreanu, Marin Sorescu, Nichita Stănescu). This theory scored a new axiological attitude towards the Romanian literature, remaining a possible guide-line in re-assessing the history of ideas
Eurooppalaiset lastenvaatemessut vertailussa : Papu-tuotemerkin näkökulma
Opinnäytetyön aihe sai alkunsa toimeksiantajan, lastenvaateyritys Papu Designin omistajan Anna Kurkelan pohdinnoista lastenvaatteiden ammattilaismessuihin liittyen.
Selvitystyyppisen tiedonhaun lisäksi toteutettiin kysely kotimaisille lastenvaateyrityksille. Työssä selvitettiin lähdekirjallisuuden sekä verkkomateriaalin avulla tietoa kansainvälisistä messuista, sekä tukena toimi blogimuotoinen työpäiväkirja oppimisprosessin tukena. Opinnäytetyö sisältää myös havainnointia Bubble London -messuilta 26–27.1.2014.
Työn tuloksena syntyi päätös valittavista messuista, sekä toimintasuunnitelma messuille. Selvitystyöhön pohjautuen Papu Design lähtee elokuussa 2014 ensimmäisille kansainvälisille CIFF Kids -lastenvaatemessuille Kööpenhaminaan. The topic of this thesis was originated from the author's discussions with the client, Ms Anna Kurkela, who is the owner of the children's clothing company Papu Design. Due to the increased strong demand, Ms Kurkela wanted to take Papu Design to a European kids fashion fair in summer 2014.
The thesis focuses on the European kids fashion fairs from the small business perspective; which trade fair the company should attend and what are the key factors affecting the selection of the fair. The objective of this study was to answer the following questions: Which of the kids fashion fairs are suitable for Papu Design? What kind of kids fashion fairs are held in Europe? Which factors have the biggest effects on the exhibitor while making the decision?
This thesis work provides an exact and analytical approach to the topic, providing qualified information required in the selection process. The author gives her own proposal about the suitable kids fashion fairs, by considering the pros and cons from the company's perspective. The action plan for participation in a trade fair is included in the thesis.
The research methods of the thesis are mainly qualitative. In addition to literature research, a questionnaire study was carried out with domestic children's wear companies. Reference literature as well as web-based material was used while collecting information about European kids fashion fairs. A web-based blog application, a casebook, was created to support the author's personal development process. The thesis work also includes observation at the Bubble London Kids Wear Trade Show from late January, 2014.
Based on the research described in the thesis, Ms Kurkela and Papu Design are converging on their first international kids fashion fair CIFF Kids to Copenhagen in August 2014

Câteva considerații asupra receptării protocronismului românesc
The present paper represents a remake, on a wider scale, but far from being exhaustive, of the problem of Protochronism, as originally thought by Edgar Papu (1908-1993), her creator. The same problem was widely debated by the author of this work, Vlad-Ion Pappu, in the literary file Edgar Papu and Protochronism in the space of the “Luceafărul” magazine, Eikon Publishing House, Cluj, 2016. The occasion for this academic recurrence was the celebration of a quarter century after Edgar Papu’s extinction, as well as the recent occurrence of a new contribution to the theme in the monumental synthesis elaborated by Acad. Eugen Simion, Posterity of Eugen Lovinescu, Tracus Arte Publishing House, Bucharest, 2017. Conceived tripartite, the current considerations examine the reception of the work History of Modern Romanian Civilization (1924–1925) by Eug. Lovinescu in the interwar critique, present the landmarks that unified Edgar Papu’s vision of Romanian literature, emphasizing the homogeneity of his judgments from the interwar period (1932) to the post-December period (1991), as well as the critical texts with which his book Out of our Classical Writers. Contributions to the Idea of a Romanian Protochronism (1977, 1989, as well as the version published in the review “Românul”, March-July 1991) was approached. In the last section were analyzed some of the sociological and politological theses on nationalism, which struck the perception of Protochronism after 1989. There were revealed the mechanism and the ideological motivations through which E. Papu’s Protochronism was mystified and subjected to a Stalinist political process, confusing his entire critical reception, as well as how his idea was recovered by national communism to be propagandistically exploited
