Measuring performances of football clubs using financial ratios: The gray relational analysis approach
The main purpose of this study is the measurement of financial performance of the football clubs in Turkey. Additionally, one other purpose is to identify the importance level of financial indicators measuring the financial performances. Hence, financial performance of the four largest football clubs in Turkey is measured by Gray Relational Analysis method in this study. We selected eleven financial ratios that take place within the context of liquidity, liability and profitability indicators. Results showed that Fenerbahce has the best financial performance. Moreover, the most important financial indicators are liability indicators. The present study is believed to contribute in evaluating the football clubs from an economical perspective
Evaluation of Crawler Cranes for Large-Scale Construction and Infrastructure Projects: an Intuitionistic Fuzzy Consensus-Based Approach
Ecer, Fatih/0000-0002-6174-3241Choosing the proper and best crawler crane is a complicated decision-making issue due to several conflicting criteria and vagueness in the construction and project logistics industries. This decision-making problem has become compounded due to insufficient studies on crawler crane selection in the relevant literature. The current study introduces an intuitionistic fuzzy consensus-based complex proportional assessment model (IF-c-COPRAS) developed to address the existing research gaps and identify the best and most suitable crawler crane. The acquired conclusions revealed that the most potent criterion influencing the crawler crane selection is "job potential," with a weighted score of 0.7665, followed by "periodic control and inspection" and "crane model year." Once the following findings of the paper regarding crawler crane variants are evaluated, the crawler crane manufactured by Liebherr Co. is the most feasible alternative, with a relative significance score of 0.8324. These outcomes provide sensible implications and insights for practitioners and decision-makers in the construction and project logistics (overweight/oversized cargo lifting and transport firms) industries, providing an applicable guideline for improving the quality of construction operations. Applying grey relational analysis to Italian football clubs: A measurement of the financial performance of serie a teams
Extant literature on the financial analysis of football clubs has applied a vast array of techniques in determining the fiscal stability of such entities. Although many studies have provided useful comparisons and analyses of the states of various clubs, direct research comparing the financial performance among various clubs is still scant. Hence, we present an application of financial ratio analysis to the greater Italian football market within the Serie A. The main purpose of this study is to assess the financial performance of the top three Italian football clubs currently listed on the Borsa Italiana (Italian Stock Exchange), those being: Juventus F.C., A.S. Roma, and S.S. Lazio. In accomplishing this, we offer a comparative analysis of these clubs through the usage of grey relational analysis (GRA), an optimal performance technique derived from engineering. Overall, our results suggest that S.S. Lazio appears to be the most financially stable club among the sampled, publicly traded Serie A teams. Determining the performance of digital shopping platforms through ahp-based mairca model during the covid-19 outbreak
COVID-19 hastalığının ortaya çıkması ile birlikte insanlar yaşamlarını devam ettirebilmek için daha dikkatli ve seçici olmaya başlamışlardır. İnsanların hayatlarında önemli bir yere sahip olan internet, salgın döneminde daha da önemli bir hale gelmiştir. Salgın korkusu ile birlikte insanlar alışverişlerini e-ticaret siteleri aracılığıyla yapmayı artırmışlardır. Bu çalışmada COVID-19 salgını ile birlikte kullanım oranlarında artış olan dijital alışveriş platformlarında tüketicilerin önem verdiği faktörler saptanarak bu faktörler AHP yöntemi kullanılarak önem derecesine göre sıralanmıştır. Sonra dijital alışveriş platformlarının belirlenen faktörlere göre salgın dönemindeki performansları MAIRCA modeliyle ölçülmüş ve sonuç olarak dijital alışveriş platformlarının salgın dönemindeki performansları belirlenmiştir. Veri toplamak için anket yöntemi kullanılmış olup toplamda 329 kişinin verileri değerlendirmeye alınmıştır. Analizler sonucunda alışveriş platformlarında tüketicilerin ürünlerin uygun fiyatlı olmasına, ürünün kaliteli olmasına, indirimlere, ürün çeşitliliğine ve ürünün ücretsiz teslim edilmesine önem verdiği sonucuna ulaşılmıştır. Ayrıca salgın döneminde tüketicilerin Trendyol ve Hepsiburada sitelerinin performanslarını daha çok beğendiği sonucuna ulaşılmıştır.With the emergence of the COVID-19 disease, people have started to be more careful and selective in continuing their lives. The internet, which has an important place in people's lives, has become even more critical during the epidemic. With the fear of the epidemic, people have increased their shopping through e-commerce sites. In this study, the factors that consumers attach importance to in digital shopping platforms, which have increased in usage rates with the COVID-19 epidemic, were determined and these factors were ranked according to their importance using the AHP method. Then, the performance of digital shopping platforms during the epidemic period was measured with the MAIRCA model according to the factors determined; as a result, the performance of digital shopping platforms during the epidemic period was determined. The questionnaire method was used to collect data, and the data of 329 people in total were evaluated. As a result of the analysis, it was concluded that consumers on shopping platforms attach importance to the affordable price of the products, the quality of the product, discounts, product variety, and free delivery of the product. In addition, it was concluded that consumers liked the performance of Trendyol and Hepsiburada sites more during the epidemic period
Going Beyond Counting First Authors in Author Co-citation Analysis
The present study examines one of the fundamental aspects of author co-citation analysis (ACA) - the way co-citation
counts are defined. Co-citation counting provides the data on which all subsequent statistical analyses and mappings
are based, and we compare ACA results based on two different types of co-citation counting - the traditional type that
only counts the first one among a cited work's authors on the one hand and a non-traditional type that takes into
account the first 5 authors of a cited work on the other hand. Results indicate that the picture produced through this non-traditional author co-citation counting contains more coherent author groups and is therefore considerably clearer. However, this picture represents fewer specialties in the research field being studied than that produced through the traditional first-author co-citation counting when the same number of top-ranked authors is selected and analyzed. Reasons for these effects are discussed
Evaluating the Financial Credibility of Third-Party Logistic Providers Through a Novel Frank Operators-Driven Group Decision-Making Model With Dual Hesitant Linguistic<i> Q</I>-rung Orthopair Fuzzy Information

Further, there are no criteria to evaluate the third-party logistics providers' creditworthiness in practice, and decision-makers in the banks consider their judgments and experiences to assess the demand of the logistics firms. This study proposes a multi-criteria group decision-making framework through a dual hesitant linguistic q-rung orthopair fuzzy (DHLq-ROF) set to manage uncertainties more effectively and make a theoretical contribution to the academic literature. For ranking, the score function and accuracy function are defined. Additionally, some novel operational laws based on Frank t-norms and t-conorms are defined for DHLq-ROF numbers. A wide range of generalized aggregation operators, such as DHLqROF Frank weighted averaging, DHLq-ROF Frank weighted geometric, DHLq-ROF Frank generalized weighted averaging, and DHLq-ROF Frank generalized weighted geometric operators, are also investigated. Beyond that, several prominent characteristics of the proposed operators are studied. It is applied to a financial credibility problem for a multinational organization to demonstrate the introduced model's applicability. Considering the results obtained regarding the importance of the criteria, the most crucial criterion is market indebtedness, followed by fleet vehicle structure and current rate criteria, respectively. The results indicate that UPS, Kuhne & Nagel and DHL Deutsche Post are the best third-party logistic providers. The sensitivity analysis shows that the framework possesses favourable flexibility and effectiveness. Thanks to the framework's ability to produce practical solutions to challenging decision-making problems, it can be reliably preferred in engineering and other fields.Science Citation Index Expande
Variations on the Author
“Variations on the Author” discusses two of Eduardo Coutinho’s recent films (Um Dia na Vida, from 2010, and Últimas Conversas, posthumously released in 2015) and their contribution to the general question of documentary authorship. The director’s filmography is characterized by a consistent yet self-effacing form of authorial self-inscription: Coutinho often features as an interviewer that rather than express opinions propels discourses; an interviewer that is good at listening. This mode of self-inscription characterizes him as an author who is not expressive but who is nonetheless markedly present on the screen. In Um Dia na Vida, however, Coutinho is completely absent form the image, while Últimas Conversas, on the contrary, includes a confessional prologue that moves the director from the margins to the center of his films. This article examines the ways in which these works stand out in the filmography of a director who offers new insights into the notion of cinematic authorship
Appropriate Similarity Measures for Author Cocitation Analysis
We provide a number of new insights into the methodological discussion about author cocitation analysis. We first argue that the use of the Pearson correlation for measuring the similarity between authors’ cocitation profiles is not very satisfactory. We then discuss what kind of similarity measures may be used as an alternative to the Pearson correlation. We consider three similarity measures in particular. One is the well-known cosine. The other two similarity measures have not been used before in the bibliometric literature. Bulanık Ortamlarda Mağaza Kuruluş Yerlerinin Değerlendirilmesi: Bir Karar Verme Aracı Olarak Bulanık Topsıs Yöntemi
Çalışmanın amacı, mağaza kuruluş yeri değerlendirme ve seçimine yardımcı olmaya yönelik bir karar verme yaklaşımı sunmaktır. İşletmelerin verdiği en önemli kararlardan birisi olan kuruluş yeri seçimi, işletmelerin gelecekteki başarılarını etkiler. Mağaza kuruluş yerine karar verirken hem mağazaların ihtiyaçları ile amaçları hem de müşteri ihtiyaçları dikkate alınmalıdır. Fakat bu tür kararlar genellikle zor ve karmaşık bir yapıya sahiptir. Uygun mağaza kuruluş yerine karar verirken ulaşım, otopark, rakiplere uzaklık gibi pek çok faktör göz önünde bulundurulur. Çalışmada, bu faktörlerin önem ağırlıklarını ve kriter değerlerini değerlendirmek için dilsel değişkenler kullanılmış ve değerlendirmeler pozitif yamuk bulanık sayılara dönüştürülmüştür. Sonrasında ise bulanık TOPSIS yöntemi kullanılarak mağaza kuruluş yeri problemi çözülmüştür. Bulanık TOPSIS yöntemi, Bulanık Çok Kriterli Karar Verme (BÇKKV) yöntemlerinden birisidir ve bulanık ortamlarda grup kararı vermeye yardımcı olur. Bulanık TOPSIS yöntemine göre mağaza kuruluş yerlerinin sıralamasını belirlemek için yakınlık katsayıları hesaplanır. Yakınlık katsayısı, Fuzzy Pozitif İdeal Çözüm (FPİÇ) ve Fuzzy Negatif İdeal Çözümden (FNİÇ) olan uzaklıklar kullanılarak hesaplanır. Çalışmanın sonunda bir örnekle yöntem adım adım açıklanmıştır. Çalışma, bulanık TOPSIS yönteminin mağaza kuruluş yeri değerlendirme ve seçiminde bir karar verme aracı olarak kullanılabileceğini ortaya koymuştur
