Estudio de los elementos espaciales y temporales en Travesuras de la niña mala (2006) de Mario Vargas Llosa
No full text Travesuras de la niña mala (2006) sobresale por la progresión en el tiempo y en el espacio que se manifiesta en la formación gradual tanto de la historia del relato como de la identidad de cada uno los principales personajes. En este sentido, Mario Vargas Llosa eleva el espacio y el tiempo a la condición de protagonistas.El objetivo de este trabajo es estudiar los elementos espaciales y temporales de la novela Travesuras de la niña mala (2006) de Mario Vargas Llosa. En primer lugar, se hace un repaso teórico del cronotopo, como fue propuesto por Mijaíl Bajtín y a partir de algunas revisiones y relecturas actualizadas. En segundo lugar, se hace hincapié en el modo en que las coordenadas espacio-temporales cobran forma en Travesuras de la niña mala (2006) a través del discurso para dotar a esta novela de una singular coherencia textual.

Desde los albores del Sufismo, la figura femenina ha desempeñado un papel crucial en su formación y transmisión, a pesar de no haber gozado de tanta visibilidad. En los anales de la historia islámica, saltan a la vista los nombres de eminentes mujeres que se posicionaron, con su sabiduría y espiritualidad, en un nivel comparable al de los hombres. Tal es el caso de la icónica Rābi‘a al-‘Adawiyya, prominente mística de los primeros tiempos del islam, cuya poesía no solo ha dejado una huella imborrable en el legado espiritual islámico sobre el Amor divino, sino que también ha ejercido una influencia profunda y duradera en la espiritualidad occidental.
En el presente estudio, nos proponemos delinear, en primer lugar, un esbozo de la vida de Rābi‘a al-‘Adawiyya y, en segundo lugar, nos adentraremos en su concepción mística del amor hacia Dios, ya que su legado perdura hasta nuestros días, demostrando la universalidad y atemporalidad de su mensaje.

Abstract
From the dawn of Sufism, the female figure has played a crucial role in its formation and transmission, despite not having enjoyed as much visibility. In the annals of Islamic history, the names of eminent women who positioned themselves, with their wisdom and spirituality, at a level comparable to men, stand out. Such is the case of the iconic Rābi‘a al-‘Adawiyya, a prominent mystic from the early times of Islam, whose poetry has not only left an indelible mark on the Islamic spiritual legacy of Divine Love but has also exerted a profound and lasting influence on Western spirituality.
In this study, we propose to outline, firstly, a sketch of the life of Rābi‘a al-‘Adawiyya and, secondly, we will delve into her mystical conception of love towards God, as her legacy endures to this day, demonstrating the universality and timelessness of her message.

Résumé
Depuis l’aube du soufisme, la figure féminine a joué un rôle crucial dans sa formation et sa transmission, malgré le manque de visibilité. Dans les annales de l’histoire de l’Islam, les noms de femmes éminentes qui se sont positionnées, grâce à leur sagesse et leur spiritualité, à un niveau comparable à celui des hommes. Tel est le cas de l'emblématique Rābi‘a al-‘Adawiyya, mystique proéminente des premiers temps de l’Islam, dont la poésie a non seulement laissé une empreinte indélébile sur l’héritage spirituel islamique de l’Amour divin, mais a également exercé une influence profonde et durable sur la spiritualité occidentale.
Dans cette étude, notre objectif est de présenter, tout d’abord, un aperçu de la vie de Rābi‘a al-‘Adawiyya. Ensuite, nous nous concentrerons sur l’exploration de sa conception mystique de l’amour divin. Son héritage, qui persiste jusqu’à nos jours, illustre l’universalité et l’intemporalité de son message.

Going Beyond Counting First Authors in Author Co-citation Analysis
Get PDFThe present study examines one of the fundamental aspects of author co-citation analysis (ACA) - the way co-citation
counts are defined. Co-citation counting provides the data on which all subsequent statistical analyses and mappings
are based, and we compare ACA results based on two different types of co-citation counting - the traditional type that
only counts the first one among a cited work's authors on the one hand and a non-traditional type that takes into
account the first 5 authors of a cited work on the other hand. Results indicate that the picture produced through this non-traditional author co-citation counting contains more coherent author groups and is therefore considerably clearer. However, this picture represents fewer specialties in the research field being studied than that produced through the traditional first-author co-citation counting when the same number of top-ranked authors is selected and analyzed. Reasons for these effects are discussed

Get PDF“Variations on the Author” discusses two of Eduardo Coutinho’s recent films (Um Dia na Vida, from 2010, and Últimas Conversas, posthumously released in 2015) and their contribution to the general question of documentary authorship. The director’s filmography is characterized by a consistent yet self-effacing form of authorial self-inscription: Coutinho often features as an interviewer that rather than express opinions propels discourses; an interviewer that is good at listening. This mode of self-inscription characterizes him as an author who is not expressive but who is nonetheless markedly present on the screen. In Um Dia na Vida, however, Coutinho is completely absent form the image, while Últimas Conversas, on the contrary, includes a confessional prologue that moves the director from the margins to the center of his films. This article examines the ways in which these works stand out in the filmography of a director who offers new insights into the notion of cinematic authorship
Appropriate Similarity Measures for Author Cocitation Analysis
Get PDFWe provide a number of new insights into the methodological discussion about author cocitation analysis. We first argue that the use of the Pearson correlation for measuring the similarity between authors’ cocitation profiles is not very satisfactory. We then discuss what kind of similarity measures may be used as an alternative to the Pearson correlation. We consider three similarity measures in particular. One is the well-known cosine. The other two similarity measures have not been used before in the bibliometric literature. Note that the objective for the hut study was to evaluate the IRS treatment applications for residual efficacy against Anopheles mosquitoes, including the local An. coluzzii mosquito population. Cows were only used to attract mosquitoes into the huts and no tests were carried out directly on the cows. The author checklist is intended for use with studies where experiments are carried out on animals, which is why we have had such difficulty in completing this for the hut study, as many of the questions do not relate to how the cows were used
