Pk-yrityksen kestävyysraportointi : case Eerola-Yhtiöt Oy
Globaalien haasteiden kuten ilmastonmuutoksen ratkaisemiseksi tarvitaan kestävään kehitykseen panostamista kaikenlaisilta organisaatioilta. Kestävyystekoja ja niiden raportointia vaaditaan yhä enemmän myös yrityksiltä. Tämän opinnäytetyön tavoitteena on suomalaisten pk-yritysten kestävyysraportoinnin ja vapaaehtoisen VSME-standardin (Voluntary Sustainability Reporting Standard for non-listed SMEs) käytön tutkiminen.
Työssä kuvataan kestävän kehityksen merkitys yhteiskunnassa ja suomalaisiin pk-yrityksiin vaikuttava kestävyysraportoinnin sääntely. Toiminnallisessa tutkimuksessa luotiin case-yritys Eerola-Yhtiöt Oy:lle kestävyysraportointipohja ja kerättiin sen täyttämiseen vaadittavat tiedot. Lisäksi yrityksen kestävyys- raportoinnille tehtiin tulevaisuuden suunnitelma. Työssä käytetään kehittämismenetelmää, mikä mahdollistaa jatkuvan reflektoinnin ja kehityksen.
Työssä arvioidaan pk-yritysten haasteet ja mahdollisuudet kestävyystyöhön ja sen raportointiin liittyen. Tulosten perusteella tehdään suosituksia pk-yrityksille kestävyysraportoinnin toimeenpanoon. Tutkimus lisää ymmärrystä suomalaisten pk-yritysten nykyaikaisesta kestävyysraportoinnista. Tuloksia voivat hyödyntää sekä kestävyyttä tavoittelevat pk-yritykset ja kestävyysraportoinnista vastaavat päättäjät.To solve global challenges such as climate change, it is necessary for all kinds of organizations to invest in sustainable development. Companies are expected to do sustainability actions and report them. The aim of this thesis is to study the sustainability reporting and the use of the VSME Standard (Voluntary Sustainability Reporting Standard for non-listed SMEs) by Finnish SMEs.
The work describes the importance of sustainable development in society and sustainability reporting regulation that affects Finnish SMEs. In this practice-based thesis, a sustainability reporting template was created and filled for the case company Eerola-Yhtiöt Oy. In addition, a future plan was made for the company's sustainability reporting. The work uses a development method, which enables continuous reflection and improvement.
The work assesses the challenges and opportunities of SMEs in relation to sustainability work and its reporting. Based on the results, recommendations are made for SMEs in implementing sustainability reporting. The research increases understanding of modern sustainability reporting by Finnish SMEs. The results can be utilized by both SMEs striving for sustainability and decision-makers responsible for sustainability reporting

Suhdemarkkinoinnin kehittämissuunnitelma : case: Timantti-Eerola Oy
Tutkimuksen tarkoituksena oli selvittää, kuinka hyvin Timantti-Eerola Oy:n tarjoamien palvelujen laatu on vastannut asiakkaiden odotuksia. Tutkimuksella pyrittiin selvittämään, miten yrityksen tulisi kehittää toimintojaan palvelun laadun parantamiseksi kokonaisvaltaisesti. Tekijän tavoitteena oli pyrkiä tarjoamaan yritykselle kehittämisehdotuksia palvelun laadun parantamiseksi ja laatia yritykselle suhdemarkkinoinnin kehittämissuunnitelma.
Tutkimus toteutettiin käyttämällä hyväksi kvalitatiivista tutkimustapaa. Syvähaastattelu suoritettiin yrityksen suurimmille asiakkaille sekä yrityksen johdolle. Tutkimuksessa käytettiin kysymyslomaketta, jossa oli 15 kysymystä. Kysymyslomake toimi syvähaastattelun runkona.
Tulokset paljastivat, että asiakkaat ovat olleet varsin tyytyväisiä Timantti- Eerolan tarjoamien palvelujen laatuun. Eniten parannuksia kaivattiin tiedottamiseen ja tarjousten selkeyteen ja täsmällisyyteen. Tyytyväisimpiä asiakkaat olivat olleet henkilöstön tavoitettavuuteen ja aikatauluissa joustamiseen.The purpose of this research was to find out how satisfied Timantti-Eerola´s customers are for the service quality that is provided to them. The goal was to determine which sectors Timantti-Eerola should develop in order to comprehensively improve the quality. The author’s own goal was to offer ideas for developing company’s service quality and to provide a development plan.
The study was conducted by using qualitative method of research. The indepth interview was carried out for five biggest customers and for the head of the company. The questionnaire consisted of 15 questions and the indepth interview was based on them.
The results show that customers have been satisfied with the service quality. The most improvements were needed for information as well as clarity and accuracy in making the offers. Customers were the most satisfied with the accessibility of the staff and flexibility of schedules

Stimuli
The stimuli consisted of 15 chords performed with piano timbre across two octaves, making the total sum of chords 30.
The chord material consisted of major and minor triads (played in their root positions and in their 1st and 2nd inversions respectively), tetrachords (major sixth and minor seventh), pentachords (dominant ninth, minor ninth, major ninth, pentatonic, and Neapolitan pentachord), and hexachords (dominant seventh sharp eleventh and diatonic hexachord). Only the triad chords were played with inversions in order to further investigate the results of Lahdelma and Eerola (2016), all other chords were played exclusively in their root positions. All chords were exactly 4.8 seconds in length and played in equal temperament. The chords were generated with Ableton Live 9 (a commercial music sequencer software), using the Synthogy Ivory Grand Pianos II plug-in. The applied sound font was Steinway D Concert Grand with a touch of ambience reverb added to the chord samples to make them sound more natural.
There are 330 audio files in total (30 chords which were played with random transposition of -5 … 0 …+5 semitones based on root). The chords are labelled as

Emotion ratings and factors
Ratings, background variables and chord factors are available in chord_data.csv, which is a comma-separated ascii file.
Acoustic measures of the stimuli
Measures of Roughness, Sharpness, and Harmonicity are available in chord_acoustic_measures.csv, which is comma-separated ascii file. Roughness and Harmonicity were extracted with MIR Toolbox (Lartillot, Toiviainen and Eerola, 2008). One row for each chord in the same scheme as audio files. The columns refer to variables (Numbers, Names, Types, No_Tones, Register, Harmonicity, Roughness, Sharpness).

These are the data release notes relating to manuscript titled 'Music communicates affects, not basic emotions – A constructionist account of attribution of emotional meanings to music' by Julian Cespedes Guevara and Tuomas Eerola.
The starting point is a collection of studies which have explored which cues in music and speech relate consistently to particular emotion. We have coded the cue-emotion combinations from these existing studies and carried out a simple correspondence analysis (CA) that attempts to represent the cue - affect contingency matrix in an optimal fashion
