The cultivation of the resistant varieties has an important contribution in reducing the number of treatments and also the cost with phytosanitary protection of the grape vine. In 2008 year there were made observations regarding the grape vine varieties resistance against the attack of Botryotinia fuckeliana fungus, in the U.S.A.M.V. ampelographyc collection from the “V. Adamachi” Iaşi farm. According with agro biological descriptors for grape vine variety’s, proposed by O.I.V. (1993) and mentioned by Ţârdea C. and Liliana Rotaru (2003), the resistance level of grape vine against gray mold can be made appreciating the attack level on leaves and grapes. The leaves are observed after flowering and the grape observations are made after harvest, using for that an interpretation scale with marks from 1 to 9, according with attack level which is between 0 and 100%. The varieties evaluation regarding their resistance against Botryotinia fuckeliana has been made examining the grapes before harvest and giving marks according with the existent level of attack. After the experience accomplish it has been made an actualization regarding the resistance of some varieties and hybrids of Vitis vinifera L. to the attack of the Botryotinia fuckeliana fungus in the global heating perspective. Between grapes varieties or hybrids for consumption, the best results were presented by the varieties: Coarnă albă, Moldova, Coarnă neagră and Roz românesc, which have registered an reduced level of attack, under 5%. Between the varieties or hybrids for wine, there has been pointed out the following: Băbească neagră, Merlot, Andre and Negru de Drăgăşani, which have registered a reduced level of attack, under 10%. The most sensitive variety was Galbenă de Odobeşti, which recorded the highest degree of attack (76.72%), followed by varieties: Frâncuşă, Grasă de Cotnari, Busuioacă de Bohotin and Cabernet Sauvignon, which had a degree of attack over 50

Against grape vine gray mold has been elaborated different control plans. Most researchers discovered that the treatments had the highest efficiency when it is applied in the next phenological moments: to the flower shake-up; to the grape compaction and to the grape greenness stadium. To accomplish the experiences contained in this paper, we attend to the phenological phases of Fetească regală genus, following the optimization of the treatments plan, applied against grape vine gray mold. In the paper are presented 3 new treatments plan, starting with the basic plan which included 3 treatments and continued with a cyclic elimination of treatments in every phenological moment. Experiences were achieved in 2007-2008 agricultural year, in the experiments were tested a number of 4 fungicides with different active substance and method of action. The main objectives were determining the effectiveness and efficiency of fungicides tested, and checks the opportunity of application phytosanitary treatments against gray mold disease of Vine, in the 3 phenology set points. Effectiveness and economic efficiency of fungicides was calculated taking into account the cost of plant protection products, the level of yields obtained (determined by gravimetric method), correlated with the degree of attack produced by the fungus Botryotinia fuckeliana (by Bary) Whetzel. To determine the opportunity of application the 3 treatments against gray mold of vine, in the 3 phenology set points, it was made a comparative analysis of influence factors from the variants and also between the 4 experiments. Analyzing the yields obtained it was found significant differences between the 4 experiments and between the variants. Regarding the degree of attack recorded in the 4 experiments it was found that in the conditions of agricultural year 2007-2008 there were no notable differences

Romania's accession to the European Union marked a new stage in our country's agriculture. Thus, Romania has to adapt to the European model of agriculture that is based on competitiveness, market orientation, environmental protection, integration of agriculture with the environment and forestry, etc. In Galati County economy, agriculture occupies an important place because of existing arable and agricultural land, livestock, poultry, land improvement and the availability of tractors and agricultural machinery. In Galati County, the largest percentage of agricultural area holds the arable land (approx. 88.74 %). On average, crops with the highest share of arable land in the county of Galati are cereals grain (67 %) and oil plants (23 %). Other cultures have lower rates, not exceeding 3 %. The main animal species are: cattle (average 45,502 heads), pigs (average 71,839 heads), sheep (averaging 243,556 heads), birds (average 9,010,264 heads), etc. Increase economic efficiency in the plant and animal sector, can be achieved by increasing average yields, improve the product quality, expansion of storage facilities (it can be capitalized the products at a higher price), increasing the investments in agriculture and animal husbandry by accessing funds grants, bank loans, etc. Competitiveness in agriculture also can be achieved by forming multi activity farms, market-oriented, by their association and cooperation, accessing grant funds for necessary investments in farms or processing units, etc

Going Beyond Counting First Authors in Author Co-citation Analysis

The present study examines one of the fundamental aspects of author co-citation analysis (ACA) - the way co-citation counts are defined. Co-citation counting provides the data on which all subsequent statistical analyses and mappings are based, and we compare ACA results based on two different types of co-citation counting - the traditional type that only counts the first one among a cited work's authors on the one hand and a non-traditional type that takes into account the first 5 authors of a cited work on the other hand. Results indicate that the picture produced through this non-traditional author co-citation counting contains more coherent author groups and is therefore considerably clearer. However, this picture represents fewer specialties in the research field being studied than that produced through the traditional first-author co-citation counting when the same number of top-ranked authors is selected and analyzed. Reasons for these effects are discussed

Romanian rural economy dominated by agriculture in large part, is still poorly integrated in the market economy. Favourable geographical conditions, topography, climate, fertile soils, skilled labour, can make from Romanian agriculture an attractive and profitable area of activity. As an economic sector, agriculture occupies in the county of Galati, a leading place due to the rich rivers, which allows the practice of an intensive agriculture. This is due also from the great potential of Galati County, which, farmers, supported by central and local authorities, are trying to fully exploit it. The county, by its morphological features, provides favourable conditions for various agricultural activities. There are presented also some negative phenomena and processes as soil erosion, landslides, areas with salty soil, sand or flood soils that require specific actions. Climate changes in recent years are affecting many sectors of the economy. Agriculture is one of the area’s most exposed because of its dependence on weather conditions. Extreme weather events more frequent (such as floods, heat waves and droughts) have negative impact on crop yields, increase the distribution and intensity of disease, and also weed growth because of temperatures and higher humidity, submission periods of flowering trees, longer wine season, changes in other natural cycles of plants, changes in the timing of agricultural operations, etc

    Variations on the Author

“Variations on the Author” discusses two of Eduardo Coutinho’s recent films (Um Dia na Vida, from 2010, and Últimas Conversas, posthumously released in 2015) and their contribution to the general question of documentary authorship. The director’s filmography is characterized by a consistent yet self-effacing form of authorial self-inscription: Coutinho often features as an interviewer that rather than express opinions propels discourses; an interviewer that is good at listening. This mode of self-inscription characterizes him as an author who is not expressive but who is nonetheless markedly present on the screen. In Um Dia na Vida, however, Coutinho is completely absent form the image, while Últimas Conversas, on the contrary, includes a confessional prologue that moves the director from the margins to the center of his films. This article examines the ways in which these works stand out in the filmography of a director who offers new insights into the notion of cinematic authorship

Appropriate Similarity Measures for Author Cocitation Analysis

We provide a number of new insights into the methodological discussion about author cocitation analysis. We first argue that the use of the Pearson correlation for measuring the similarity between authors’ cocitation profiles is not very satisfactory. We then discuss what kind of similarity measures may be used as an alternative to the Pearson correlation. We consider three similarity measures in particular. One is the well-known cosine. The other two similarity measures have not been used before in the bibliometric literature. Finally, we show by means of an example that our findings have a high practical relevance.information science;Pearson correlation;cosine;similarity measure;author cocitation analysis
