Developing a website with user experience
No full textThe Internet has played an essential role in human life with its convenience, and it has been attached to people’s lives for several decades. Many people daily use the Internet on their own electronic devices for various purposes. In fact, through human habits and behavior that use electronic devices to access the Internet daily, user experience design has been created to enhance the Interaction of humans with the application and websites in their own devices.
The thesis idea was based on Bumi Asian Kitchen & Café, an Asian restaurant in Helsinki. Bumi is also no exception with the traditional business, which has served its regular food menu on the street corner since 2016. By combining technology and human behaviors, the thesis aims to research customer behavior and expectations and develop a website design for a restaurant to bring a convenient user experience and exemplary user interface to its customers. That website design helps the business attract customers, raise the reputation, and enhance customer connection in the smooth method.
In the thesis, the essential design knowledge will clarify the basis of user experience and user interface. The author then keeps researching the website’s basic knowledge to describe the importance of website design and website usability. The author uses the qualitative method and ex-plains the UX design methodology with persona, customer journey, heuristic evaluation, user inter-view, and usability testing before choosing a suitable methodology for the practical process of web-site development for Bumi Asian Kitchen & Cafe. After evaluation based on data collection, author can point out the advantages of website development that bring to a restaurant business

Semi-automatické mapování dat do ontologií
No full textNejhodnotnější publikace dat je formou propojených dat. Tvorba propojených dat zahrnuje zejména transformaci dat do RDF a vhodné použití identifikátorů a ontologií. Celý proces je však dosud náročný i pro experty na propojená data. Proto je hlavním cílem této práce vytvoření semiautomatického řešení pro usnadnění transformace dat do kvalitních propojených dat. Základem navrženého řešení je tvorba modelu dat, který může uživatel interaktivně upravovat manuálně či s pomocí doporučení. Tato doporučení navrhují transformace modelu zejména na základě expertní znalosti domén dat. Řešení bylo implementováno jako proof-of-concept webový editor a je založené na vizuální úpravě schématu uživatelem vložených dat.The most valuable data publication is in the form of linked data. The creation of linked data includes in particular the transformation of data into RDF and the appropriate use of identifiers and ontologies. However, the entire process is still challenging even for linked data experts. Therefore, the main goal of this thesis is to create a semi-automatic solution to facilitate the transformation of data into high-quality linked data. The basis of the proposed solution is the creation of a data model that the user can interactively edit manually or with the help of recommendations. These recommendations suggest model transformations based primarily on expert knowledge of data domains. Risk - adjusted rates of return for project appraisal
No full textIncorporating risk assessment into public project appraisal makes sense when project risk is significantly correlated with uncertainty about national income. It is especially important in countries that specialize in particular agricultural or resource sectors. This report presents the following conclusions: (a) risk corrections can be substantial; (b) the intuition that risk is great for further investment in a crop or sector that constitutes a large part of a country's GNP is not invalid, but the effect may be offset by other forces in operation; (c) risk corrections can be negative because of a negative correlation between project return and GNP; (d) risk premia vary greatly across countries and sectors - so recognizing the risk correction needed for each project on its own merits makes more sense than including a common general risk premium in the rate of return required for all lending; (e) risk corrections are small for many sectors and countries - so efforts can be concentrated on the other categories, where the proposed treatment of risk makes a big difference; (f) risk affects investment projects in many different, subtle ways; and (g) resource requirements for this are not great.Environmental Economics&Policies,Health Economics&Finance,Banks&Banking Reform,Statistical&Mathematical Sciences,Crops&Crop Management Systems
