    The main problem of this research was, “is it effective to apply RCRR (Read, Cover, Remember, Retell) Strategy in teaching reading descriptive text to the eighth grade students of state Junior High School 50 of  Palembang? This study was conducted to find out whether or not is it effective to apply RCRR strategy in teaching reading descriptive text entitle Borobudur Temple and Lake Toba to the eighth grade students of state Junior High School 50 of Palembang. This research was pre-experimental method with one group pretest-postetst design. The Population and sample of this research was eighth grade students at State Junior High School 50 of Palembang which consisted of 35 students. It was taken by using cluster random sampling method. The data were collected by using written test. The results of this research reveals, the average of the students’in pre-test was 59.85 while the students’ average score in the post-test was 78,14. The result of matched t-test calculation was 9.8 and it was higher than 1.691 as the critical value with 0.05 % significance level one tailed testing with df 34. It could be concluded that the application of RCRR (Read, Cover, Remember, Retell) Strategy to the eighth grade students of Junior High School 50 of Palembang was effective

    Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui isu isu mutakhir apa saja yg terjadi sekarang dalam pelayanan di bidang pendidikan. Metode penelitian ini menggunakan metode deskriptif kualitatif dengan memaparkan atau menggambarkan  keadaan, kondisi, situasi, peristiwa, kegiatan-kegiatan, dan lain-lain.  Penelitian ini menggunakan data sekunder, data sekunder merupakan data yang diperoleh dari sumber kedua atau sumber sekunder dari data yang di butuhkan.   Hasil penelitian didapat 3 faktor utama dalam pelayanan pendidikan  yaitu rendahnya mutu pendidikan, rendahnya dalam pemanfaatan IPTEK dan pelayanan publik bidang sarana dan prasarana. Rendahnya mutu dalam pendidikan disebabkan oleh faktor model belajar siswa, perubahan kurikulum dan kemampuan guru dalam mengajar. Rendahnya dalam pemanfaatan IPTEK yang harus diperbaiki adalah kualitas guru dalam proses pembelajaran. Kualitas pelayanan yang harus diperbaiki juga memberikan pelatihan atau bimbingan kepada guru-guru yang belum melek teknologi dan melengkapi sarana prasarana. Pelayanan publik bidang sarana dan prasarana dikarenakan kualitas guru dan kelengkapan sarana prasarana yang harus dipenuhi

    This study aims to describe regional autonomy and development in South Sumatra. Community development is a process of change for the better, covering all aspects of people’s lives to improve material and mental well-being, as well as physical and psychological well-being. Regional autonomy provides broad opportunities for regions to develop their regions in accordance with the circumstances or conditions and aspirations of the local community. This research includes a literature review that discusses 1) autonomy accelerating regional development in South Sumatra which is related to infrastructure development in South Sumatra Province discussed in the coordination meeting, namely the progress of the Toll Road, namely Kayu Agung-Palembang-Betung, Kramasan (Palembang)-Musi Landas-Betung section.     EFFECT OF PLASTIMENT-VZ ADDITIVES AND COARSE AGGREGATE TEMPERATURE ON THE STRENGTH OF MEDIUM QUALITY CONCRETE FOR ROAD CONSTRUCTION Djunaidi NPM: 203121009 Based on the environmental temperature problems that often occur in the field, it is necessary to carry out research that aims to determine the results of the compressive strength test and flexural strength test of medium quality concrete (20? fc'<45Mpa) as a result of coarse aggregates reaching temperatures of 25 C and 45 0 C without additives. added and mixed with Plastiment-VZ with levels of 0.4%, 0.6%, 1.0%, 1.2% so as to determine the compressive strength and flexural strength of concrete which represent the effect of temperature and Plastiment-VZ added ingredients. The test method in the laboratory regarding the effect of Plastiment-VZ additives with mixed variations of 0.4%, 0.6%, 1.0%, 1.2% and coarse aggregate when the temperature reaches 25 0 C, 30 0 C and 45 0 C on compressive strength and concrete flexural strength with fc' design concrete quality of 30 MPa with a concrete mixture of coarse aggregate (Telang Island quarry), fine aggregate (Kijang quarry), water (bore well), and PCC cement (Semen Padang). From the results of the flexural strength (fs') and compressive strength (fc') tests using coarse aggregate at temperatures of 25 0 C, 30 0 C and 45 C it can be concluded that the higher the temperature of the coarse aggregate in the concrete mixture, the greater the quality of the concrete in flexural strength (fs') and compressive strength. (fc') tends to be lower. The effect of using variations in the content of Plastiment-VZ added material on flexural strength (fs') and compressive strength (fc') as a concrete mixture, namely the higher the content of Plastiment-VZ added material, the quality of the concrete tends to be lower. In line with this, the concrete mix with Plastiment-VZ added material with an aggregate temperature of 45 0 C has lower flexural strength (fs') and compressive strength (fc') concrete compared to concrete using Plastiment-VZ added material at an aggregate temperature of 25 0 C and for the effect of Plastiment-VZ on concrete quality, namely the use of Plastiment-VZ additives does not increase the quality of concrete, either flexural strength or compressive strength at 28 days of age, but only increases workability and can cover cavities in concrete, making it easier to carry out concrete work

    Abstrak Tulisan ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan penggunaan bahasa sebagai alat berpikir. Bahasa dalam kehidupan digunakan sebagai alat komunikasi dan berpikir dalam melakukan suatu tindakan. Metode yang digunakan dalam penulisan ini adalah metode deskriptif dengan pendekatan kualitatif untuk menggambarkan atau menggambarkan sesuatu, seperti keadaan, kondisi, situasi, peristiwa, kegiatan, dan lain-lain. Tulisan ini menggunakan sumber data sekunder berupa artikel dan kutipan dari buku-buku teori yang mendukung tulisan ini. Analisis data dalam tulisan ini adalah menganalisis data dengan melihat kejadian nyata dalam kehidupan sehari-hari yang berkaitan dengan bahasa sebagai alat berpikir. Setelah dilakukan analisis data, hasil yang diperoleh adalah adanya bahasa yang melahirkan proses berpikir teoretis, berpikir etis, berpikir menggunakan sains dan menerapkan bahasa sebagai alat berpikir dalam dunia perpustakaan. Kata kunci: Bahasa, alat berpikir, perpustakaan Abstract This paper aims to describe the use of language as a thinking tool.     ABSTRAK Sistem mu‟allimien (kurikulum integral) merupakan salah satu alterrnatif kebijakan pendidikan dalam keikutsertaan mencerdaskan kehidupan bangsa. Karena Secara umum implementasi pendidikan sistem mu‟allimien (kurikulum integral) menyangkut tiga aspek yakni Mu’amalah Ma’alllah (hubungan manusia dengan Tuhannya), Mu’amalah Ma’annas (hubungan manusia dengan manusia), serta Mu’amalah Ma’albiah (hubungan manusia dengan lingkungan). Penelitian inibertujuan untuk menganalisis, memahami, dan mendeskripsikan tentang: Sistem Mu‟allimien (Kurikulum Integral) yang di kembangkan di pondok pesantren Al Amien Prenduan Sumenep, dengan fokus mencakup: (1) pengembangan sistem mu‟allimien (Kurikulum Integral), (2) Implementasinya, (3) Faktor-faktor pendukung dan penghambatnya untuk meningkatkan kualitas pendidikan Islam, yang dilakukan pondok pesantren Al Amien Prenduan Sumenep. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan rancangan studi kasus (case studies). Pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan teknik wawancara mendalam, observasi partisipatif, dan dokumentasi. Teknis analisis data meliputi reduksi data, penyajian data, dan penarikan kesimpulan, pengecekan keabsahan temuan dilakukan dengan cara perpanjangan keikutsertaan peneliti; teknik triangulasi dengan menggunakan berbagai sumber, teori, dan metode; dan ketekunan pengamatan. Informan penelitian yaitu pengasuh pondok (Raisul Ma’had), Pengasuh TMI (Mudir), Pengasuh umum (Mudir ‘Aam), kepala Sekolah(Mudir Marhalah),dan Guru (Ustadz). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa: (1) Sistem mu‟allimien dari awal telah membuktikan bahwa out put yang dihasilkan mampu bersaing dan berkiprah di tengah masyarakat secara luas dalam berbagai macam corak profesi. Karena sistem mu‟allimien (kurikulum integral) sebagai “kurikulum hidup dan kehidupan”; (2) Pendidikan mu‟allimien dikelompokkan pada 4 jenis program, yaitu program intra kurikuler, ekstra kurikuler, ko-kurikuler, serta program bimbingan dan penyuluhan; (3) Faktor Pendukung :Keteladanan Kiyai dan guru- guru, Sarana prasarana lumayan memadai, Infrastruktur yang cukup baik, manajemen moderntelah diaplikasikan dan disempurnakan dalam rentang waktu yang relatif lama; (4) Faktor Penghambat :Perubahan personalia, kuantitas dan kualitas SDM masih kurang, ketersediaan sarana masih kurang, platform dan tradisi yang relatif seragam itu juga menimbulkan persoalan. Karena diasumsikan bahwa setiap personel di TMI memahami tugas-tugas manajerialnya dengan baik. ABSTRACT Mu'allimien system (integral curriculum) is one of the education policy in a participatory alternatif intellectual life of the nation. Since the implementation of the general education system mu'allimien (integral curriculum) concerning three aspects namely mu'amalah ma'alllah (man's relationship with God), mu'amalah ma'annas (man's relationship to man), and mu'amalah ma'albiah (man's relationship with the environment). This study aims to analyze, understand and describe the: System Mu'allimien (Integral Curriculum) that was developed in the Al Amien boarding school Prenduan Sumenep, with focus include: (1) development system mu'allimien (Integral Curriculum), (2 ) implementation, (3) factors supporting and inhibiting to improve the quality of Islamic education, which made Al Amien boarding school Prenduan Sumenep. This study used a qualitative approach with case study design. Data collection was done by using in-depth interviews, participant observation, and documentation. Technical analysis includes data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion, checking the validity of the findings made by way of extension of the participation of researchers; triangulation techniques using a variety of sources, theories, and methods, and persistence of observation. Research informants are boarding school leaders (Raisul Ma'had), Director of TMI (Mudir), general director of TMI (Mudir 'Aam), headmaster of TMI (Mudir Marhalah), and teacher of TMI (Ustadz). The results showed that: (1) System mu'allimien from the beginning has been proved that the resulting output can compete and take part in the wider community in a variety of shades of professions. Because the system mu'allimien (integral curriculum) as "life and living curriculum", (2) Education mu'allimien grouped in four types of programs, they are intra-curricular program, extra- curricular, co-curricular activities, as well as guidance and counseling program, (3) Supporting Factors: Modeling chaplain and teacher, quite adequate infrastructure facilities, infrastructure is quite good, modern management has been applied and refined in a relatively long period of time, (4) Obstacles: personnel changes, the quantity and quality of human resources is still lacking, availability of facilitiesare lacking, platforms and relatively uniform tradition that also cause problems.     The purpose of this article is to describe the implementation of community governance in education. This article is expected to provide an overview and perspective on community governance and the successful implementation of education to achieve community governance in Indonesia. In this article, the method used is descriptive qualitative, using secondary data. The sources used to obtain data in this study are journals and books that support research studies, namely about community governance in the field of education. The results obtained in this study are the implementation of governance observed from transparency, participation, and accountability in schools. Educational governance covers various aspects such as the application of curriculum and learning, facilities and infrastructure as well as education financing. There are also problems in implementing this community governance, namely in implementing school governance not all teachers have IT skills, there are limited teachers in developing teaching materials (KI/KD) and learning methods, limited school facilities and infrastructure, limitations of parents in learning assistance and the economic limitations of parents in supporting distance learning

    This study aims to describe the strategy and service policies for the disabled. People with disabilities really need attention from family, community and government. In matters of service, this group should be given special and adequate services in accordance with the law that has been enacted. This research method uses descriptive qualitative method. The sources used to obtain data in this research are journals and books that support the research study. The researcher also looks at the phenomena that occur regarding service strategies and policies for the disabled so that they can be related to this research. This study presents several findings, namely issues related to people with disabilities and cases of people with disabilities that have attracted worldwide attention, services provided for people with disabilities and laws and regulations made specifically for people with disabilities and the implementation of these laws for people with disabilities
