STUDI PENDAHULUAN BIOSINTESIS BIOPOLIMER POLI (3-HIDROKSIBUTIRAT DARI MINYAK NABATI ASAM OLEAT SECARA FERMENTASI
Telah dilakukan studi pendahuluan biosintesis biopolimer poli (3-hidroksibutirat) dari minyaknabati asam oleat secara fermentasi menggunakan bakteri Erwinia sp USMI –20. Proses fermentasi dijalankan di dalam labu Erlenmeyer volume 500 ml dan goncangan menggunakan rotary shaker incubator pada 200 rpm, suhu 30 C, ph 7, selama 72 jam. Sebagai sumber karbon tunggal digunakan asam oleatdan ammonium fosfat sebagai sumber nitrogen. Sampling diambil secara periodic setiap selang waktu 4 dan 6 jam dan dilakukan analisis terhadap beratkering sel, kandungan polimer yang dihasilkan dan kandungnan ammonium serta asam oleat tertinggal di dalam medium. Hasil percobaan menunjukkan bahwa konsentrasi asam oleat terbaik untuk penghasilkan P (3HB) adalah 5 g/l dengan kandungan polimer tertinggi yang diperoleh setelah 54 jam sebanyak 55% b/b dengan berat kering sel 3,4 g/l

Fermentasi Senyawa Bioaktif dari Jamur Trichoderma koningii untuk Mendapatkan Bahan Baku Fungisida Alamiah Baru
The objective of this study is to produce bioactive component from Trichoderma koningii by fermentation process. The fermentation medium was used combination of corn water extract, sucrose, calcium carbonate, ferrosulphat, cobal chloride, and water up to 100 %. The fermentation was conducted at pH 7.0, agitation 180 rpm, temperature 20-25°C for 5 days. Activity of metabolite that produced was determinated toward Sclerotium rolfsii every 24 hours period during the fermentation process. Product of fermentation was extracted by liquid-liquid extraction method using chloroform, methyl acetate, n-buthanol, and water respectively. Each fraction with concentration 0.1; 0.5 and 1.0 % w/v were determined toward S. rolfsii. Result showed that the optimum time of fermentation occurred at 72 hours. The medium that produce highest activity is medium-A content of corn water extract 3 %, sucrose 3 %, calcium carbonate 0,5 %, ferrosulphate 0.1 % and water up to 100 %. Warna Lokal Minangkabau dalam Novel Dayon Karya Akmal Nasery Basral
Local colors have an influence on the development and introduction of the local culture of an area. The purpose of the study describes the local colors of Minangkabau in the novel Dayon by Akmal N Basral. Data collection techniques include reading techniques, note-taking techniques, and library techniques. The collected research data is analyzed through three stages including, data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. The results of the analysis show that there is a local color content in the novel Dayon by Akmal N Basral, including: a) Inyiak Tiger Beliefs, b) Minangkabau Community Customs, c) art, d) language, e) livelihood of foodstuffs, f) local animals, and g) Traditional Houses. The existence of local color content in Dayon's novel shows that the author photographed the activities of the Minangkabau people. The local content is able to become a characteristic of regional communities and is useful in shaping the character of the nation.
