Effects of work overload and job stress on employee performance: categorical moderation from polychronicity and work environment
The increasingly fierce competition in the world of work requires companies to work effectively and efficiently in order to survive and develop better. The right strategic steps are needed by the company in facing the competition. Companies must be able to manage resources in order to provide satisfactory services so that they can achieve the planned goals and objectives. Testing the moderation categorical model using path analysis based on OLS (Ordinary Least Square) regression and bootstrap method using SPSS version 25 and PROCESS version 3.5 statistical tools by Andrew F. Hayes the 76th model for the object of this research. The research sample was 235 health workers. The result of this research is that polychronicity and work environment effectively moderate the effect of work overload on employee performance through job stress. Work stress can be reduced by improving the quality of employees in the company and providing the best employees in the work environment
The Benefits of Interactive Media Websites Through Google Sites on Learning Outcomes of Elementary School Students
The application of technology in education will improve teachers’ ability to convey material to students, make it easier for students to understand the material presented, and make time more effective and efficient. Advances in computers are also closely related to the world of education. Most schools also include computers as a compulsory subject. Technology's role in education is growing rapidly, and the need for technology is indispensable in the current era of globalization. By utilizing recent technological developments, the aims of this research are (1) to develop website-based learning media; (2) to analyze the differences in learning outcomes between students who use websites and conventional media. Researchers use a Google Sites application to support the development of web-based learning media. Teaching staff can use Google Sites to carry out various learning activities. The stages of this research method are experimental research with a posttest only control group design. The subjects of this study were students of class IV A and B at SDN 2 Karangsari—intake of research class through random sampling technique. Activities in data analysis include data processing and statistical analysis. The conclusion of this study is that the learning model through website learning media can generally motivate students to improve learning outcomes. Students gave a positive response to the implementation of the website learning model
The Effect of Polychronicity on Employee Engagement: Conditional Process of Job Satisfaction and Compensation
The health industry has the third highest voluntary turnover rate in the world; thus, the degree of participation in the health industry is still relatively low. Low employee engagement continues to make employee engagement an intriguing issue of study, notably in Indonesia. According to a survey, 76% of employees are not engaged in their work. This study aims to investigate the effect of polychronicity on employee engagement with the conditional process of job satisfaction as a mediating variable and compensation as a moderating variable. Testing the model using the PROCESS statistical tool version 3.5, the sample was determined based on the Slovin formula so that 212 individuals participated in the study. According to the findings, compensation is effective in moderating the effect of polychronicity on job satisfaction, compensation is effective in moderating the effect of polychronicity on employee engagement, and compensation is effective in moderating the effect of job satisfaction on employee engagement. Each interaction is in a high category. The study implicates the result of the analysis of the conditional process model on the effect of polychronicity, job satisfaction, and compensation on employee engagement in the health industry
EFFECT OF PROBLEM BASED LEARNING TO CRITICAL THINGKING SKILLS ELEMENTARY SCHOOL STUDENTS IN SOCIAL STUDIES
The main problem of this study is the lack of ability to think kriis Elementary School fifth grade students in the learning of Social Sciences. This study uses a quantitative approach with quasi-experimental methods. The study population was the fifth-grade elementary school students in District Ciparay Bandung regency. The sample consisted of 51 students divided into 25 students in the class IV-A as an experimental group and 26 students in the class IV-B as the control group. Instruments used comprises a written test regarding social issues. Quantitative analysis is performed against the average pretest and post test critical thinking skills by using the t-test and Mann Whitney test. The results showed that the differences are critical thinking skills in students using problem-based learning model at initial measurement (pre-test) and the final measurement (post-test). encourage the student can solve his problems with critical thinking, there are no differences in the ability of critical thinking in students who use conventional learning model at initial measurement (pre-test) and the final measurement (post-test), there is an increased critical thinking skill in students whose learning using model-based the problem is higher than students whose learning using conventional learning
The Implementation of the TPS (Think-Pair-Share) Learning Model To Improve Students Critical Thinking Skills
The low ability of students' critical thinking during the learning process is the driving force behind this research. This is based on observations made by researchers who found that students during learning activities were unable to explain the material being studied straightforwardly, draw conclusions, explain the material being studied, or identify assumptions. This is because students' critical thinking skills are less developed when the learning model is used. It is hoped that this study will be able to find out and get an overview to further develop the reasoning abilities in determining fifth grade elementary school students by applying the TPS (Think Pair Offer) learning model. This study used the Classroom Action Research (CAR) method developed by Kemmis and Mc Taggart, which is one used in this study. Classroom action research is research that describes the causes and effects of treatment, as well as describes what happens when the treatment is given. and describes the entire process from the beginning of the treatment to the impact of the treatment. In this study two cycles were used which were carried out in class V of elementary school. One lesson and four stages namely planning, implementing, observing, and reflecting are each cycle. The instruments used in this review are perception sheets, field notes, test questions, and documentation. This study found that students' critical thinking skills increased by 63% in cycle I, rising to 82% in cycle II, placing it in the very good category. From these results it can be seen that there was an increase of 19% from cycle I to cycle II. This shows that one of the elementary school TPS (Think Pair Share) models can improve the critical thinking skills of fifth grade students
Liquidity risk : comparison between Islamic and conventional banking
The purpose of this study is to analyze the influence of micro-economy or bank-specific to the liquidity risk in Islamic and conventional banks. The data in this study using secondary data consists of 20 Islamic banks and 12 conventional banks obtained from seven countries, namely Albania, Saudi Arabia, Bahrain, Malaysia, Dubai, Qatar and Indonesia from 2009 to 2015.
This research method is based on quantitative techniques using panel data regression. The results showed that in the Islamic and conventional bank found the best model is the fixed effect model. The variables that affect the liquidity risk in Islamic banks are the CAR, FEXP, FLP and NPF. While the variables that affect liquidity risk in conventional banks are FEXP, FLP, NPL and ROA.
In Islamic banking NIM, ROA and SIZE does not affect the liquidity risk, and CAR, NIM and SIZE not affect the liquidity risk in Conventional banks.peer-reviewe
Going Beyond Counting First Authors in Author Co-citation Analysis
The present study examines one of the fundamental aspects of author co-citation analysis (ACA) - the way co-citation
counts are defined. Co-citation counting provides the data on which all subsequent statistical analyses and mappings
are based, and we compare ACA results based on two different types of co-citation counting - the traditional type that
only counts the first one among a cited work's authors on the one hand and a non-traditional type that takes into
account the first 5 authors of a cited work on the other hand. Results indicate that the picture produced through this non-traditional author co-citation counting contains more coherent author groups and is therefore considerably clearer. However, this picture represents fewer specialties in the research field being studied than that produced through the traditional first-author co-citation counting when the same number of top-ranked authors is selected and analyzed. Reasons for these effects are discussed
