Inter-union conflicts in Argentina during the period 2008-2013
The aim of this article is to define inter-union disputes and the main factors which cause them to arise. In order to respond to the question of which endogenous or exogenous factors could explain these this kind of conflict, the author adopts an analysis of the relevant literature on factors which affect inter-union conflict as a theoretical-methodological criteria, along with an empirical study of the administrative resolutions issued by the Ministry for Work, Employment, and Social Security of Argentina from 2008 to 2013. This research distinguishes exogenous and endogenous factors, and arrives at the conclusion that the latter are more influential in union conflicts, given the permanent tensions between unions, specifically tensions related to the unions’ approach and the strategies employed by their actors.Fil: Senen Gonzalez, Cecilia Irene. Towards lossless binary convolutional neural networks using piecewise approximation
Binary Convolutional Neural Networks (CNNs) can significantly reduce the number of arithmetic operations and the size of memory storage, which makes the deployment of CNNs on mobile or embedded systems more promising. However, the accuracy degradation of single and multiple binary CNNs is unacceptable for modern architectures and large scale datasets like ImageNet. In this paper, we proposed a Piecewise Approximation (PA) scheme for multiple binary CNNs which lessens accuracy loss by approximating full precision weights and activations efficiently, and maintains parallelism of bitwise operations to guarantee efficiency. Unlike previous approaches, the proposed PA scheme segments piece-wisely the full precision weights and activations, and approximates each piece with a scaling coefficient. Our implementation on ResNet with different depths on ImageNet can reduce both Top-1 and Top-5 classification accuracy gap compared with full precision to approximately 1.0%. Benefited from the binarization of the downsampling layer, our proposed PA-ResNet50 requires less memory usage and two times Flops than single binary CNNs with 4 weights and 5 activations bases. The PA scheme can also generalize to other architectures like DenseNet and MobileNet with similar approximation power as ResNet which is promising for other tasks using binary convolutions. The code and pretrained models will be publicly available.Computer EngineeringRobot Dynamic

Keterlibatan Kerja Karyawan di Industri Hospitality Pariwisata: Analisis Bibliometrik
The literature that discusses HR management practices in the hospitality and tourism industry is still relatively limited, even though there are many issues related to human resources in the hospitality and tourism sectors. This paper aims to examine the literature related to employee engagement practices in the hospitality and tourism sectors and their impact on other constructs. To obtain literature data, the publish or perish software was used and the Google Scholar database was selected. The keyword used is "work engagement hospitality tourism". In the initial search, 200 literatures were obtained from 2016 to 2021. Then the 200 literatures were selected so that 75 references were obtained. Using the Mendeley reference manager and Publish or Perish software, data on the most cited articles, top-tier journals, and top publishers were collected. Furthermore, the 75 references were processed using the VOS Viewer so that cluster data was obtained which consisted of the items that appear in each cluster. Overlay visualization, density visualization, and author network associated with keywords were also illustrated. This study provides an overview for further research related to employee work involvement, especially in the tourism hospitality industry

The author of this study presents the topic titled Analysis on Implementation of Governor of Special Capital Region of Jakarta Province Regulation Number 90 Tahun 2018 on Improvement of Quality Settlement in Integrated Settlement Management in Kampung Kwitang Central Jakarta by viewing the phenomenon particularly the accidental fire which burned down 31 houses of the residents situated at Jl. Kembang V Kwitang Village Senen Sub-District Central Jakarta Administrative City On 13 March 2021 and affected 67 household heads and 201 lives, the author is concerned with discovering the implementation, constraints and solutions to rebuild the burned-down settlement area. To study this, the author employed the theory of policy implementation according to Edward III. This method used in this study is descriptive with qualitative approach. The result of the research suggests that the Governor Regulation Number 90 of 2018 in Kampung Kwitang has been properly implemented and the objection by several local residents to 30-cm backward movement of house borderline for public road expansion was amicably resolved with a solution acceptable to all relevant partie
Determination of biomass energy potential based on regional characteristics using adaptive clustering method
Determining the energy potential of biomass is the first step in selecting the most suitable and efficient energy conversion technology based on regional characteristics. The approach to estimating and determining biomass potential generally uses geospatial technology related to collecting and processing data about mapping an area. Unfortunately, this method is inadequate for simulating the interaction between variables, nor can it provide accurate predictions for the biomass supply chain. As a result, the results obtained from this method tend to be biased and macro, particularly in regions experiencing rapid land-use development. In this paper, the author has developed a clustering methodology with a fuzzy c-means (FCM) algorithm to determine biomass energy potential based on regional characteristics to produce data clusters with high accuracy. Grouping the characteristics of clustering-based areas involves grouping physical or abstract objects into classes or similar objects
Descriptive complexity of deterministic polylogarithmic time and space
We propose logical characterizations of problems solvable in deterministic polylogarithmic time (PolylogTime) and polylogarithmic space (PolylogSpace). We introduce a novel two sorted logic that separates the elements of the input domain from the bit positions needed to address these elements. We prove that the inflationary and partial fixed point variants of this logic capture PolylogTime and PolylogSpace, respectively. In the course of proving that our logic indeed captures PolylogTime on finite ordered structures, we introduce a variant of random-access Turing machines that can access the relations and functions of a structure directly. We investigate whether an explicit predicate for the ordering of the domain is needed in our PolylogTime logic. Finally, we present the open problem of finding an exact characterization of order-invariant queries in PolylogTime.
By investigating the Trimm-Aktionen of the German Sports Association (Deutscher Sport-bund) for the promotion of exercise and sports from 1970 to 1994 this study aims at contributing to the ongoing discussion on the implementation and effectiveness of prevention campaigns ad-dressed to the general population. After an introductory overview of existing research concerning the relation between sporting activities and health as well as on the sporting habits of the population in Germany, the study addresses the following questions: What were the motives, objectives and expectations of effectiveness underlying the nationwide Exercise (Trimm)-Campaign, when it was started by the German Sports Association? How was this campaign organized and financed? How did internal and external cooperation develop and function? Which target groups in the population were to be addressed by different parts of the campaign and which particular instruments and activities were developed to accomplish this? The analysis is based on a broad empirical basis which up to now had hardly been tapped in-cluding numerous original documents as well as interviews conducted by the author with key players in the Trimm-Aktionen. The resulting insights allow for a more qualified assessment of problem definition and effectiveness of the Exercise Campaign than had been possible up to now. According to these results it may be concluded that the Trimm-Dich-Campaigns - in addition to directly influencing more sport activities - have, in the long run, influenced the social climate increasing openness to sporting activities and physical fitness. At the same time the organizational development of the German Sports Association and its member organizations was promoted

The fraction of filler nanoparticles needed to produce the same beta- to alpha-phase ratio in crystallized PVDF is 1 order of magnitude lower in the cobalt ferrite nanoparticles. The interaction between nanoparticles and PVDF chains induce the all-trans conformation in PVDF segments, and this structure then propagates in crystal growth. The nucleation kinetics is enhanced by the presence of nanoparticles, as corroborated by the increasing number of spherulites with increasing nanoparticle content and by the variations of the Avrami's exponent. Further, the decrease of the crystalline fraction of PVDF with increasing nanoparticle content indicates that an important fraction of polymer chains are confined in interphases with the filler particle. This work is funded by FEDER funds through the “Programa
