No full textКатегорія ВThe problem of scientific-research work of students of higher educational institutions of the maritime profile is considered in the article. It is substantiated that the implementation of good quality training, forming of professional competences of the specialist of maritime profile is impossible without interaction of the educational and scientific-research components, because only under such circumstances higher maritime educational institutions graduate specialists who are up the requirements of scientific and technical progress, modern sociocultural norms, and the global labor markets heads. The essence of cadets’ scientific-research work as an integral part of the scientific-research environment of the maritime university is described the main directions of its implementation and the conditions of the organization are outlined. The author singles out the following productive directions for research cadets: participation in the implementation of scientific research departments, in all-Ukrainian olympiads and competitions of student's scientific works, approbation of results of scientific research cadets at student conferences, workshops etc. Regular way purchases of scientific knowledge, abilities and skills help future specialists form relevant competence for selected activities in the marine sector, they contribute to the development of creative personality traits, creation of conditions for the generation of ideas and the ability to implement them in practical activity. With this aim, the formation of corresponding scientific environment in higher education institutions of maritime profile. В статье рассматривается проблема научно-исследовательской работы курсантов высших учебных заведений морского профиля. Автор обосновывает, что осуществление качественной профессиональной подготовки, формирование профессиональных компетентностей конкурентноспособного специалиста морского профиля невозможно без взаимодействия учебной-воспитательной и научно-исследовательской составляющих.
Расскрыта сущность научно-исследовательской работы курсантов как неотъемлемой составляющей научно-исследовательского среды морского высшего учебного заведения, основные направления ее осуществления и условия организации. У статті розглядається проблема науково-дослідної роботи курсантів вищих навчальних закладів морського профілю. Обґрунтовано, що здійснення якісної професійної підготовки, формування професійних компетентностей фахівця морського профілю не можливе без взаємодії навчально-виховної та науково-дослідної складових, оскільки лише за таких умов морські вищі навчальні заклади випускатимуть фахівців, які відповідають вимогам науково-технічного прогресу, сучасним соціокультурним нормам, вимогам світового ринку праці.

Going Beyond Counting First Authors in Author Co-citation Analysis
Full text linkThe present study examines one of the fundamental aspects of author co-citation analysis (ACA) - the way co-citation
counts are defined. Co-citation counting provides the data on which all subsequent statistical analyses and mappings
are based, and we compare ACA results based on two different types of co-citation counting - the traditional type that
only counts the first one among a cited work's authors on the one hand and a non-traditional type that takes into
account the first 5 authors of a cited work on the other hand. Results indicate that the picture produced through this non-traditional author co-citation counting contains more coherent author groups and is therefore considerably clearer. However, this picture represents fewer specialties in the research field being studied than that produced through the traditional first-author co-citation counting when the same number of top-ranked authors is selected and analyzed. Reasons for these effects are discussed
THE USE OF INTERNET RESOURСES IN THE FUTURE MARITIME PROFESSIONALS’ COMMUNICATIVE COMPETENCE FORMATION

Зазначається, що вимогою часу є використання у навчанні студентів ЗВО електронного інформаційно-комунікативного педагогічного середовища, у якому постає потреба розміщення ефективних Інтернет-ресурсів. До сервісу, який дозволяє використовувати відео, ми відносимо YouTube. Відмічається, що найбільш зручні способи додавання файлу відео формату на платформу MOODLE – за допомогою веб-посилань або сервісу «Сторінка». У статті перераховуються переваги використання відео ресурсів у формуванні комунікативної компетентності морських фахівців. У дослідженні також описується використання SCORM пакетів, набору файлів із зовнішніх Інтернет-ресурсів. Підсумовується, що використання ефективних Інтернет-ресурсів здійснює позитивно впливає на формування комунікативної компетентності майбутніх фахівців морської справи.The article examines examples of the Internet resources’ use for the formation of the future maritime professionals’ communicative competence. It is noted that the call of the times is the use of eLearning environment. To form the communicative competence of future maritime professionals, eLearning environment needs the arrangement of effective Internet resources. To the service that allows you to use the video files, we refer YouTube website. To create an electronic video catalog of the necessary video materials in the study of English for professional purpose on the MOODLE platform you can use the various resources offered by the platform. It is noted that the most comfortable and efficient ways of adding YouTube video files into the MOODLE platform is via web links or the Page service. The article outlines the advantages of using video resources in the formation of future maritime professionals’ communicative competence. The study also describes the use of SCORM package as a set of files from external Internet resources. The example from LearningApps.org service (Web 2.0 application) is described. It is noted that this service supports learning and teaching processes with small interactive modules (gamification activities). The advantages of such activities’ usage are as follows: interactivity, ease of use, motivation, etc. Other elements of the MOODLE platform that are embedded and helping to build communicative competence are as follows: Forum, Chat, Seminar, Task, Lesson and BigBlueButtonBN. Summing up, the use of effective Internet resources positively affects the formation of future maritime professionals’ communicative competence. The prospects for further research are seen in the study and use of English language electronic courses in the professional direction of the BigBlueButtonBN conference system, which allows you to create a virtual lesson in the real time classroom

Full text link“Variations on the Author” discusses two of Eduardo Coutinho’s recent films (Um Dia na Vida, from 2010, and Últimas Conversas, posthumously released in 2015) and their contribution to the general question of documentary authorship. The director’s filmography is characterized by a consistent yet self-effacing form of authorial self-inscription: Coutinho often features as an interviewer that rather than express opinions propels discourses; an interviewer that is good at listening. This mode of self-inscription characterizes him as an author who is not expressive but who is nonetheless markedly present on the screen. In Um Dia na Vida, however, Coutinho is completely absent form the image, while Últimas Conversas, on the contrary, includes a confessional prologue that moves the director from the margins to the center of his films. This article examines the ways in which these works stand out in the filmography of a director who offers new insights into the notion of cinematic authorship
Appropriate Similarity Measures for Author Cocitation Analysis
Full text linkWe provide a number of new insights into the methodological discussion about author cocitation analysis. We first argue that the use of the Pearson correlation for measuring the similarity between authors’ cocitation profiles is not very satisfactory. We then discuss what kind of similarity measures may be used as an alternative to the Pearson correlation. We consider three similarity measures in particular. One is the well-known cosine. The other two similarity measures have not been used before in the bibliometric literature.
