Dessy : desktop search and synchronization
No full textCurrent smartphones have a storage capacity of several gigabytes. More and more information is stored on mobile devices. To meet the challenge of information organization, we turn to desktop search. Users often possess multiple devices, and synchronize (subsets of) information between them. This makes file synchronization more important. This thesis presents Dessy, a desktop search and synchronization framework for mobile devices. Dessy uses desktop search techniques, such as indexing, query and index term stemming, and search relevance ranking. Dessy finds files by their content, metadata, and context information. For example, PDF files may be found by their author, subject, title, or text. EXIF data of JPEG files may be used in finding them. User–defined tags can be added to files to organize and retrieve them later. Retrieved files are ranked according to their relevance to the search query. The Dessy prototype uses the BM25 ranking function, used widely in information retrieval. Dessy provides an interface for locating files for both users and applications. Dessy is closely integrated with the Syxaw file synchronizer, which provides efficient file and metadata synchronization, optimizing network usage. Dessy supports synchronization of search results, individual files, and directory trees. It allows finding and synchronizing files that reside on remote computers, or the Internet. Dessy is designed to solve the problem of efficient mobile desktop search and synchronization, also supporting remote and Internet search. Remote searches may be carried out offline using a downloaded index, or while connected to the remote machine on a weak network. To secure user data, transmissions between the Dessy client and server are encrypted using symmetric encryption. Symmetric encryption keys are exchanged with RSA key exchange. Dessy emphasizes extensibility. Also the cryptography can be extended. Users may tag their files with context tags and control custom file metadata. Adding new indexed file types, metadata fields, ranking methods, and index types is easy. Finding files is done with virtual directories, which are views into the user's files, browseable by regular file managers. On mobile devices, the Dessy GUI provides easy access to the search and synchronization system. This thesis includes results of Dessy synchronization and search experiments, including power usage measurements. Finally, Dessy has been designed with mobility and device constraints in mind. It requires only MIDP 2.0 Mobile Java with FileConnection support, and Java 1.5 on desktop machines

Dessy Rachma's digital illustrations: The creative process and formal analyses
Get PDFThis research aims to 1) describe the creative process of Dessy Rachma's digital illustration work, 2) describe Dessy Rachma's artistic journey, and 3) describe the marketing strategy for Dessy Rachma's work. This qualitative research uses descriptive methods to describe the results in detail. So, the final result of this research is an analysis and discussion of the results based on several art theories. Data sources were collected using triangulation techniques: observation, interviews, and documentation. Moreover, the validity of the data will be tested using a member check (checking research data with the data provider). The results of this research show that: 1) Dessy's creative process in working uses digital media and techniques, and the characteristics of the work highlighted are themes about feminism with the use of neon colours such as in cyber art style; 2) Dessy's artistic journey started when she was in college, continued until she was in graduate school, and now she has marketed many of her digital works on the Crypto Ar market; 3) The marketing strategy for Dessy's work is carried out by marketing her work on a platform from Crypto Art called Teia. art which Dessy not only uses as a marketing medium but also as a place for archiving her work and as a medium to increase her branding

Isi: Pokok permasalahan yang saya ambil adalah upaya hukum yang dapat dilakukan atas setiap pelanggaran Paten yaitu setiap yang melanggar Hak Eksklusif dari Pemegang Paten, maka akan diadili/dituntut ke Pengadilan Negeri berdasarkan Kompetensi Relatif. Sehubungan dengan masalah pelanggaran Pidana Paten dalam analisa ini sebagai studi kasus penulis akan memaparkan tentang pelanggaran Paten berjudul Pompa Sedot Bahan Galian No. Pol.: BP/09/IX/2005/TIPITER untuk pertambangan yang tidak memiliki Hak Lisensi penjualan ataupun tidak memiliki Sertifikat Paten. Kesimpulan yang dapat saya ambil dari penulisan skripsi saya adalah bahwa berdasarkan hasil penyelidikan oleh pihak Polri, maka Budianto ditetapkan menjadi tersangka yang telah melakukan pelanggaran Paten yaitu memproduksi dan menjual Pompa Sedot Bahan Galian yang sama dengan yang dimiliki oleh Siswandi. Dan karena Budianto telah ditetapkan menjadi tersangka, maka Budianto dikenakan Pasal 130 Jo Pasal 16 Ayat (1) huruf a UU No.14 Tahun 2001 tentang Paten dan kemudian perkara Budianto ini diadili ke Pengadilan Negeri Tangerang dimana tempat barang yang diproduksi oleh tersangka. We have designed a search and synchronization framework for mobile devices, called Dessy. Dessy has been designed with mobility and device constraints in mind. It requires only MIDP 2.0 Mobile Java with FileConnection support, and Java 1.5 on desktop machines. This paper demonstrates the application in practice, using multiple devices and synchronizing files between a desktop computer, a laptop, smartphones, and the Internet. Smartphones and laptops are able to search for files hosted on other devices as well as on the Internet. Unnecessary search operations are avoided using Bloom filters. I. Dampak Kredit Usaha Rakyat (KUR) Terhadap Perkembangan Usaha Keripik Talas Dessy di Kota Padang Panjang

Namun usaha tersebut tidak mampu memenuhi permintaan pasar karena mengalami kendala permodalan untuk meningkatkan volume produksi. untuk mengatasi permasalahan tersebut, usaha ini melakukan pengajuan KUR ke Bank Nagari Cabang Padang Panjang. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk (1) Mendeskripsikan profil Usaha Keripik Talas Dessy, profil KUR yang diperoleh dan tahapan pengajuan KUR (2) Menganalisis dampak KUR terhadap faktor produksi, jumlah produksi, keuntungan dan jangkauan pasar Usaha Keripik Talas Dessy. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode deskriptif kuantitatif dengan pendekatan studi kasus. Data yang dikumpulkan adalah data primer dan data sekunder. Data dianalisis dengan analisis perbandingan. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa pinjaman KUR yang diperoleh Usaha Keripik Talas Dessy digunakan 100% untuk pembiayaan usaha dan usaha ini tidak mengalami kesulitan dalam proses pengajuan KUR. Penelitian ini menemukan bahwa pemanfaatan dana KUR berdampak positif terhadap perkembangan Usaha Keripik Talas Dessy. Hal ini dibuktikan dengan peningkatan modal usaha dari Rp12.000.000 menjadi Rp50.568.000, peningkatan jumlah tenaga kerja sebanyak 3 orang, peningkatan jumlah produksi sebesar 45.6%, peningkatan keuntungan sebesar 82.2%, dan perluasan jangkauan pasar dengan menambah 2 outlet bar
