Updated checklist and distribution of the inland-water calanoid copepods (Copepoda: Calanoida) of Romania
No recent studies on the distribution of calanoid copepods in Romanian inlandwaters
are available. During a long-term survey aimed at large branchiopods, we collected
two diaptomid species that are new for the fauna of the country, and supplemented the
available data on the distribution of other calanoid species with new records. As already
observed in the case of large branchiopods, the habitats of the mountain basins of the Eastern
Carpathians seem to be characterized by a quite distinct species assemblage. The high
calanoid species richness of Romanian inland-waters, and the need for further, more
comprehensive surveys aimed at mapping the actual diversity of this order in Romania are
stressed
Logarithmic L p Bounds for Maximal Directional Singular Integrals in the Plane
Let K be a Calderón-Zygmund convolution kernel on R. We discuss the L p -boundedness of the maximal directional singular integral T V f(x)= sup v ε V | ∫R f(x+t v) K(t)dt|where V is a finite set of N directions. Logarithmic bounds (for 2≤p<∞) are established for a set V of arbitrary structure. Sharp bounds are proved for lacunary and Vargas sets of directions. The latter include the case of uniformly distributed directions and the finite truncations of the Cantor set. We make use of both classical harmonic analysis methods and product-BMO based time-frequency analysis techniques. The DEMETER Science Mission Centre
International audienceThe DEMETER Scientific Mission Centre (SMC) has been developed and is operated by the Laboratoire de Physique et Chimie de l'Environnement (LPCE). The SMC commands the instruments of the scientific payload, collects and distributes DEMETER data and associated products to the DEMETER international community. The SMC has been designed to maximize scientific return and to reduce development and exploitation costs for the DEMETER project. This paper describes the SMC's data processing system, data server and methods of payload operation, and presents associated hardware and software architectures

Sello Demeter en la certificación de agricultura biodinámica con productores de café (Coffea arábica L.)

Departamento Académico de EntomologíaEl presente trabajo tiene por objetivos describir el proceso de certificación de agricultura biodinámica Demeter en productores de café (Coffea Arábica), así como describir y analizar la experiencia de la Agricultura Biodinámica y sus conceptos para la certificación Demeter. Asimismo, examinamos los principios de agricultura biodinámica que además de su carácter claramente ecológico, se basa en la dimensión espiritual de la relación entre el ser humano y la Tierra, como un ser con vida propia basada en fuerzas cósmicas. Se ha desarrollado la experiencia profesional describiendo el proceso de conversión a la Agricultura Biodinamica “Demeter” y el proceso de inspección-certificación por “Demeter International”. Los requisitos específicos “Demeter” cumplen con el concepto de la “granja viva”, la crianza de animales, el uso de preparados biodinámicos y el uso del calendario biodinámico. La experiencia de Agricultura Biodinámica se ubica en La Finca “la Chacra D’dago” ubicada en Santa Herminia-Palomar, Junín, Perú. La “Chacra D’dago” obtuvo la certificación orgánica UE, NOP desde el año 2000. Desde el año 2012 está certificado con Demeter, pero inicio los trabajos de agricultura biodinámica desde el 2006. Posteriormente, debido al crecimiento de la demanda de café Demeter en Europa, se formalizó un contrato de adhesión con un grupo de productores de café, se implementó un sistema de control interno y aprobaron una lista de productores para certificación orgánica para Europa, USDA-NOP y Demeter. Se concluye que la certificación “Demeter International” permite lograr acceder a mercados diferenciados, que potencializan el crecimiento de la exportación de café orgánico y biodinámico “Demeter”. Cabe resaltar que el método “biodinámico”, es un mecanismo importante basado no sólo en producir con abonos orgánicos, sino principalmente en seguir principios para crear "organismos vivos" basados en diversificar los animales y plantas, en diversificar la vida en el suelo y la vida humana de manera conjunta.The objectives of this work are to describe the Demeter biodynamic agriculture certification process in coffee producers (Coffea Arabica), as well as to describe and analyze the experience of Biodynamic Agriculture and its concepts for Demeter certification. Likewise, we examine the principles of biodynamic agriculture, which in addition to its clearly ecological character, is based on the spiritual dimension of the relationship between humans and the Earth, as a being with its own life based on cosmic forces. Professional experience has been developed describing the conversion process to Biodynamic Agriculture “Demeter” and the inspection-certification process by “Demeter International”. The specific “Demeter” requirements comply with the concept of the “living farm”, animal husbandry, the use of biodynamic preparations and the use of the biodynamic calendar. The Biodynamic Agriculture experience is located at La Finca “la Chacra D’dago” located in Santa Herminia-Palomar, Junín, Peru. The “Chacra D'dago” obtained the EU organic certification, NOP since 2000. Since 2012 it has been certified with Demeter, but it began biodynamic agriculture work in 2006. Later, due to the growth in demand for Demeter coffee In Europe, an adhesion contract was formalized with a group of coffee producers, an internal control system was implemented and a list of producers was approved for organic certification for Europe, USDA-NOP and Demeter. It is concluded that the “Demeter International” certification allows access to differentiated markets, which enhance the growth of the export of organic and biodynamic “Demeter” coffee. The effect of atmospheric CO2 enrichment on alfalfa (Medicago sativa L.) grrowth and nutrient status
The experiment aimed to identify the effect of atmospheric carbon dioxide enrichment on the growth and nutrient status of alfalfa. Plants were grown in open-top chambers. Plant mineral nutrients and total non-structural carbohydrates (TNC) were measured in leaf samples. Above ground biomass and leaf area increased under high CO2 conditions whereas leaf concentrations of all the nutrients decreased except for Zn. TNC content increased too

Ezen módszer optimalizálásával és fejlesztésével könnyebbé, gazdaságosabbá és hatékonyabbá lehetne tenni valamennyi L-hexóz és a belőlük készült származékok szintézisét.
