The author analyzes the reference system between the programme indications of psychological nature of the parts titles on the one hand and the concept, formal construction, the intonational expression and the types of narrative, on the other hand

THE MUSICAL-DRAMATURGIC CONCEPT OF THE MONOOPERA ATEH BY GH. CIOBANU IN CORRELATION WITH THE LITERARY SOURCE

    No full text
The article is devoted to the peculiarities of the musical embodiment of the literary source in the mono-opera-ballet „Ateh or the revelations of the Khazar princess” by Gh. Ciobanu, based on three fragments from the lexicon-novel „Dictionary of the Khazars” by M. Pavic, a reference work of art of the end of the 20th century. Following from the genre characteristics of modern mono-operas, on the one hand, and on the exceptional qualities of Ateh’s image in the novel, on the other hand, the author reveals the basic principles of the composer’s approach to the literary text — selectivity, economy of verbal means, simplification of the content plan by eliminating the text with symbolic and mystical components and increasing the role of musical-dramatic means. The author considers various types of semantic relation between the text and music in the mono-opera — convergence (illustration, parallelism, association and others) and divergence of meanings. The author comes to the conclusion that the semantic concepts of the monoopera by Gh. Ciobanu occur at the intersection of the self-reflection principle, on the one hand, on the other hand — of the idea of transformations that moves the musical-dramaturgical process

MUSICAL INTERPRETATION OF THE POETIC SOURCE IN THE RAP POEM FROM THE VOCAL-SYMPHONIC CYCLE FOR BARITONE AND ORCHESTRA APRÈS UNE LECTURE BY GHENADIE CIOBANU

    No full text
The author considers the peculiarities of the interpretation of the poetic text in the music of one of the poems of the vocal and symphonic cycle for baritone and orchestra „Après une Lecture” by Ghenadie Ciobanu. The purpose of the article is to reveal the specific features of the musical and poetic synthesis achieved by the composer in the „Rap Poem”: in the description of the genre basis of the poetic and musical works, their figurative content, the correlation of their syntax, the specific musical intonation of the poetic text, the role of the orchestra. The composer’s method of working with a word is evaluated from the novelty standpoint, and the final artistic result is determined from the position of its stylistic affiliation as a musical exemple of the „third direction” in the music of the 20th century

ABOUT THE INTERPRETATION OF THE POETIC SOURCE IN THE VOCAL-SYMPHONIC CYCLE FOR BARITONE AND ORCHESTRA APRÈS UNE LECTURE BY GHENADIE CIOBANU

The author considers the features of the musical embodiment of the samples of modern Romanian poetry in the vocal-symphonic cycle „Après une Lecture” by Ghenadie Ciobanu. The poems by the Romanian poet Emilian Galaicu-Paun, taken by the composer from the first part of „Quarantine” of the monographic collection “a-z.best” (2012), despite various scales and figurative spheres, are oversaturated by signs and symbols. The postmodern context of the poetic material showing the vibrating meanings of the words, irradiating or resounding with various cultural spaces, needed a polystylistical musical solution for the first verse. In this article, the author applies an intertextual approach to the analysis of the treatment of the poetic source by the composer. Emphasis is laid on the special sensitivity to the meaning of the words, their associativity, overlapping and the paradoxicality of their relations, the free operation with various traditions, the dialogue with the cultures of the past and the present; all these unite the creative methods of the poet and composer

AN APPROACH OF SMEs FINANCIAL PERFORMANCES FROM AN EUROPEAN PERSPECTIVE

    No full text
SMEs form one of the sectors mostly affected by this financial crisis, due to their lack of financial power. Still, a HVI analysis indicates this period as favorable to any SME that manages to identify and to react promptly to market changes. Most of the times, managers tend to focus on the technical and practical aspects of the manufacturing process, underestimating the financial management and the real facts related to the operations under their control. Starting from these thoughts, the hereby article approaches the real need for specific training in the field of financial reports and indicators aiming to draw the attention to the performances that may be achieved by the small and medium size enterprises, performances that mainly depend on the effective financial management, on the good understanding of basic accounting notions and on an adequate decision making process. Even after 20 years of „capitalism” and democracy, the Romanian SMEs are still at a low level. This is not discouraging, although, having in view the lack of liquidities at global level, the possibility to get a bank loan is limited, and the over-exigency of commercial banks. Thus, the long-term loans designed for SME’s and corporations become more and more difficult to get . Despite these, performances can still be achieved, even on the background of a deep crisis. Compared to the big companies from EU and not only, the advantage of SME’s is their increased flexibility and their capacity to implement new services and to market new products. In the absence of higher levels of decision and approval, the decision-making process in SME’s is easier and thus, more efficient. In this context, SME’s may act promptly by applying solutions adjusted to the market conditions. (Ciobanu, 1998, p. 98 ) ”The small entrepreneurs are the engine of the economy” is a well-known saying, but we are still far from reaching the level of the European Union.financial performance, medium and small enterprises, European Union, new perspectives

Jon Fosse and the New Theatre is the title of an ample research on the Norwegian author, done by PhD student Anamaria Babiaș-Ciobanu (b. 1987). She held her public defence in Philology in 2018, under the supervision of Professor Sanda Tomescu Baciu, at the Faculty of Letters, Babeș-Bolyai University, followed by the publication of the present volume, based on the PhD thesis with the same title. Prior to this she also translated Jon Fosse’s Shadows (Skuggar) into Romanian, under the title Umbre (Casa Cărții de Știință, 2015). Furthermore, Babiaș-Ciobanu has published several corresponding articles in the academic journal Studia Universitatis Babeș-Bolyai Philologia: “A Short Example of Jon Fosse’s Dramaturgy. Play Sov du vesle barnet mitt” (vol. 59, no. 1, pp. 87-99, 214) or ”From Ibsen to Beckett: Aspects of the Human Condition” (vol. 60, no.1, pp. 133-147, 2015). Her MA thesis tackles the theme of the latter article and her BA thesis was focused on Norwegian dramaturgy as well: “Løgn og sannhet i Ibsens Vildanden” (The Concepts of Lie and Truth in Ibsen's The Wild Duck). Thus, Babiaș-Ciobanu has displayed a continuous interest in this field and has extensively contributed to spreading the Fosse’an universe on Romanian soil

CIOBANU, Victoria. Profit (loss) analysis until taxation = Analiza profitului (pierderii) până la impozitare. Coord. șt.: BAJAN, Maia. In: Simpozion Ştiinţific al Tinerilor Cercetători, (8-9 aprilie 2022) [online]: Culegere de lucrări ştiinţifice. Ediţia a 20-a. Chişinău: ASEM, 2022, vol. 1, pp. 191-194. ISBN 978-9975-3590-2-3 (PDF).This article presents the profit analysis and it was made based on the data of the financial statements of ,,Franzeluța” SA, 2019-2020. As methodological support of the investigation will serve the dialectical method of knowledge with its components: analysis, synthesis, deduction, observation, comparison, selection, grouping and scientific abstraction. As documents, I used the Financial Statements, National Accounting Standards(SNC), and a book, called ,, Analiza Rapoartelor Financiare”and as a source of information, I used the search engine, Google. Based on the profit and loss analysis, the author calculated the absolute deviation of the profit in comparison with the previous year and commented with subsequent conclusions. Consequently, the author found that in 2020 ,,Franzeluța”S.A presented a lower value of the profit, which has a negative impact on the economic activity of ,,Franzeluța”S.A. This problems could be solved with new development strategies and with an efficient organization of the company’s activity. The Case for Polymorphic Registers in Dataflow Computing

    No full text
Heterogeneous systems are becoming increasingly popular, delivering high performance through hardware specialization. However, sequential data accesses may have a negative impact on performance. Data parallel solutions such as Polymorphic Register Files (PRFs) can potentially accelerate applications by facilitating high-speed, parallel access to performance-critical data. This article shows how PRFs can be integrated into dataflow computational platforms. Our semi-automatic, compiler-based methodology generates customized PRFs and modifies the computational kernels to efficiently exploit them. We use a separable 2D convolution case study to evaluate the impact of memory latency and bandwidth on performance compared to a state-of-the-art NVIDIA Tesla C2050 GPU. We improve the throughput up to 56.17X and show that the PRF-augmented system outperforms the GPU for 9×9 or larger mask sizes, even in bandwidth-constrained systems

Les inscriptions simulées de la peinture médiévale roumaine dans le contexte de l’art et de la pensée orthodoxes / Simulated Inscriptions of Romanian Medieval Painting in the Context of Orthodox Art and Thinking

    No full text
The aim of the article is to establish the typology and the specificity of simulated inscriptions in the space of orthodox art, including the Romanian painting of the Middle Ages. From the point of view of the author, the simulated inscription represents an autonomous text, with historical and stylistical specificities, spatial and temporal well-defined coordinates, but without a signified in the world of the real representations possesses by the human language. There is a semantic difference between the notion of ornamental writing and that of simulated inscription. Although it is true that the stylistic peculiarities of simulated inscriptions often take on an ornamental or decorative form, yet, from a conceptual point of view, they are never reduced to the decorative role that some researchers attribute to them. In most cases, they also involve simulacrum or even waiting for a possible reading. Due to the huge distance between the Romanian language, spoken by most of the population, and the Slavonic language used by the scholars (bigger than the distance between the Serbian, Bulgarian or old’s Russian and the same Slavonic language!), was favored the process of abstraction of the “written word” and its polarization towards “the spoken word”, the role of simulated inscriptions increasing in this process
