Le finestre cinematografiche in Italia e in Francia al tempo di Netflix

    No full text
The article deals with the release windows, that regulate the exploitation sequence of the channels of cinematographic works distribution (cinema theaters, DVD/Blu-ray, Pay TV, free TV, etc.), as well as the time that must elapse between the presence of a film on a channel and its appearance on the following. The author illustrates the European regulation on the topic over time; the different member states' approaches; goals and settings of the reforms recently adopted by the Italian and French States; the problems still opened. Release windows are currently one of the most controversial topics of the film industry: the disruptive market entry of new players, such as Netflix, is challenging the traditional rules and even the juridical definition of what a cinematographic work is. The analysis opens therefore questions about the impact of new technologies on regulation and the relationship between market rules and cultural policies

In 2014, the reform of the Italian Ministry for Culture and Tourism etsablished autonomous museums. This article is aimed at verifying the extent to which the new regulatory framework is translating into concrete results and which are the main problems of the new organizational model. To this end, the author took on a case study to assess the effects of the implementation of autonomy within Le Gallerie Nazionali di Arte Antica of Rome. The analysis is organized in four sections. The first one focuses on Le Gallerie Nazionali di Arte Antica's internal organization and suitability of its human and economic resources, in order to verify whether the assets required to achieve economical, effective and efficient management are being set up within the museum. The second section considers Le Gallerie Nazionali's external relationships, in order to attest: if the museum is achieving greater democratization and accessibility of cultural heritage; if it is involving students, schools and universities to a greater extent; if it is contributing to the development of greater cooperation with the other cultural institutions. The third section examines the relationship between autonomous museums and the central Ministry, in order to understand if the level of autonomy awarded allows the new institutions to pursue a flexible, dynamic and innovative management. The last one sets out the conclusions

La chiesa di S. Maria delle Grazie a Montopoli di Sabina. Lettura critica dell'edificio sacro nel suo contesto

    No full text
This essay aims to offer a critical interpretation of the church of S. Maria delle Grazie in Montopoli di Sabina. The building has developed from a votive shrine near an intersection of four ancient streets. Sandro Benedetti attributed it to the eighteenth-century architect Giuseppe Sardi. He was an author of many late Baroque works and close to the Borrominian lexicon. In this particular case by the way, the church represents an interesting example of Rococo architecture. The structure, situated just outside the town, due to some inappropriate changes of the surroundings has a difference in high with the road passing nearby. This causes a serious visual pollution. In fact, the current alteration does not allow a clean view of the facade and covers entirly the church's entrance. The height of the road has overturned the hierarchical relationship between the church and the road itself. It is necessary a renovation that concerns the whole urban layout of the area, and thinking about a new road system that takes into account the historical and artistic values expressed by the monument

In this study on 28 operated patients, the Authors show that total thyroidectomy with elective central neck dissection and ipsilateral neck dissection is the most appropriate surgical treatment for medullary thyroid carcinoma. Pathologic study on lymph nodes removed in central and in latero-cervical compartments showed malignancy respectively in 75% and in 70% of the cases. However the role of elective ipsilateral lateral neck dissection remains controversial
