Ken Wilber's Spectrum Model: Identifying Alternative Soteriological Perspectives
I identify two problematic strands of Wilber's transpersonal theory. First, I question Wilber's claim that his spectrum model is supported by the materials of all the world's major mystical traditions. I argue that his integral, hierarchical perspective privileges some traditions but distorts others. Drawing heavily upon Andrew Rawlinson's recent, taxonomic study of mystical traditions, which identifies four authentic routes to spiritual emancipation (Cool Structured, Cool Unstructured, Hot Structured and Hot Unstructured), I argue that while Wilber's model, itself Cool (the source of spiritual liberation lies within oneself) and Structured (developmental, hierarchical), provides a valuable cartography of transpersonal structures and states of consciousness, it cannot adequately handle the materials of the alternative, soteriological paths of Hot traditions (emphasizing the numinous, and as other than oneself) and Unstructured traditions (affirming that there can be no gradual, or progressive, spiritual development at all). Second, and more cursorily, I argue that it is Wilber's Cool Structured perspective that informs his categorisation of Jung as an elevationist. I try to demonstrate that Jung's psychic model of the conjunction of opposites is a Hot Structured one, which provides an alternative, soteriological path for persons whose spiritual needs are different from those addressed by Wilber
These days, psychology is relatively fragmented, with little interdiscipline: each psychology school studies the subject individually. Therefore, this paper aims to propose a base from which the different areas within psychology can interact without getting eliminated between them.
To do this I propose to use the integral approach created by Ken Wilber, american author that includes in his field of study diverse areas, from psychology, philosophy, mysticism, anthropology, among others.Trabajos libres: Estudios interdisciplinarios y nuevos desarrollosFacultad de Psicologí
Thanatos & Phobos: 'Fear' and its Role in Ken Wilber's Transpersonal Theory
First Edition 1997, Second Edition 2012Wilber's transpersonal conceptualization of Thanatos and Phobos are interpreted as two patterns of 'fear' in development and evolution. It is suggested by Wilber's model and this author, that these 'fear' forces may be the source of the processes of pathology that undermine and derail evolutionary progress
This document is part of the state of the art of research output produced on the theme "integral psychology and clinical psychology input into the work of Ken Wilber, who states in his theory of various studies on the evolution of humans and their interests, to promote integration of science and religion.
This work has for objective to approach the relation between science and religion in the thought of Ken Wilber. They are the two starting points of this work: the first one is an examination that if it could call a historical briefing of the relations between science and religion; as, the not less important one, is a summarized presentation of the life and work of the author to the academic universe. For Wilber, it does not have, in modern world, more important issue that the relation between science and religion. For him, science is domain of the "truth" and the religion ig the domain of the "meaning ". The objective of the wilberian theory of integration between science and religion is to demonstrate that the essence of the religion is the spiritual realm, essentially mystic, and that the essence of the scientific method is an ample empiricism of all and any experience, physical, mental or spiritual. Thus the religious or spiritual realm would be submitted, such as the most phenomena investigated for science, to the severities of the empiricist-experimental method. It is what Wilber calls "the marriage of the sense and soul", or either, the integration between science and religion, truth and meaning.

An Integral Approach to the Spanish Short Stories of B. Traven.
This thesis analyzes various Spanish short stories written by the twentieth-century author B. Traven, using literary analysis techniques derived from models presented in Ken Wilber's Integral Theory. These various literary techniques, which ultimately usher the reader into a better interpretation of the short stories, include: character development analysis, character comparison analysis, literary device analysis, and key question analysis. Because these techniques listed function through the lens of Ken Wilber's Integral Theory, this thesis inevitably argues that Wilber's Integral Theory is an effective theory to use in literary analysis
