No full textYüksek Lisans TeziOryantalizm, doğuyu araştırma adı altında İslam’a karşı şüpheler ve olumsuz tavırlar sergilemektedir. Bu olumsuz tavırlar içerisinde İslam’ın peygamberi Hz. Peygamber’i karalama politikası da sürdürülmektedir. İslam’ın ilk el yazması eserlerini Doğu’dan alarak tercümeler yapmışlardır. Yapılan tercümeleri ise kendi ideolojilerine göre yorumlar getirerek çevirmişlerdir. Hz. Peygamber’in hayatını yazarken de aynı tutum ve davranışı göstermişlerdir. İslam’ın hak din ve son din olduğunu kabul etmeyen Hristiyanlar ve Yahudiler bu konu da İslam’ı araştıran insanların aklına şüpheler yerleştirmektedir. David Samuel Margoliouth da birçok eseri bulunan, Arapçaya hakimiyeti olan bir İngiliz oryantalisttir. Hz. Peygamber’in hakkında yazmış olduğu eserlerde, Hz. Peygamber’i çoğunlukta olumsuz ithamlarla eleştirdiği görülmekte ve bir vahiy almadığını, Kur’an-ı Kerim’in de Hz. Peygamber tarafından yazıldığını savunmaktadır. Vahiy esnasında geçirmiş olduğu titremelerin bilinçli şekilde Hz. Peygamber’in yaptığını aktarmaktadır. Yahudi asıllı olmasından dolayı Hz. Peygamber ile Yahudiler arasında yaşanmış olan olayları subjektif bir şekilde ele aldığı görülmektedir. Margoliouth’un sergilemiş olduğu tavır, kendisinden sonra yaşamış olan oryantalistleri de etkilemiştir.Orientalism exhibits suspicions and negative attitudes towards Islam under the name of researching the East. Among these negative behaviors, the policy of smearing the prophet of Islam, Prophet Muhammad (s.a.v), is also continued. They translated the first manuscripts of Islam from the East. They interpreted the translations according to their own ideologies. They showed the same attitude and behavior when writing the life of Hz. Muhammad (s.a.v). Christians and Jews who do not accept that Islam is the true religion and the last religion place doubts in the minds of people researching Islam. David Samuel Margoliouth, who has many works and is fluent in Arabic, is a British orientalist. In his works written about Hz. Muhammad, he mostly criticizes Hz. Muhammad with negative accusations and claims that he did not receive any revelation and that the Holy Quran was written by Muhammad (s.a.v). He states that Muhammad was conscious of the tremors he experienced during the revelation. Because of his Jewish origin, it is seen that he handled the events that took place between the Prophet and the Jews in a subjective way. The attitude displayed by Margoliouth also influenced the orientalists who lived after him
