Economic evaluation of FDM 3D printing technology in elektrotechnical industry
Tato bakalářská práce se zabývá 3D tiskem FDM metodou, porovnáním vlastností jednotlivých materiálů a komplexním ekonomickým zhodnocením provozu 3D tiskárny. Nejprve jsou probrány principy FDM metody, spolu s rešerší její historie. Dále se práce zaměřuje na porovnání důležitých vlastností vybraných materiálů používaných pro 3D tisk. Autor provedl měření a vyhodnocení důležitých fyzikálních vlastností vybraných materiálů s příměsí mědi. Jedná se konkrétně o tepelné, elektrické a mechanické vlastnosti. Práce popisuje způsob a metody použité při měření a výpočtu těchto veličin s pomocí podpůrných programů měřicích zařízení. V posledních kapitolách autor analyzuje výdaje spojené s investičními a provozními náklady 3D tiskárny Prusa i3 MK3S a provádí kalkulaci nákladů pro tisk konkrétního výrobku používaného v elektronice. Výsledky kalkulace jsou porovnány s tradiční výrobou vstřikolisovou metodou.This bachelor thesis deals with 3D printing by FDM method, properties comparison of individual materials and complex economic evaluation of 3D printer operation. Firstly, the principles of the FDM method are discussed, alongside with a review of its history. Furthermore, the work focuses on the comparison of important properties of selected materials used for printing. The author made measurements and evaluates important physical properties of selected materials with admixture of copper. Specifically, these are thermal, electrical and mechanical properties. The work describes methods used in the measurement and calculation of these variables with the aid of measuring devices support programs. In the last chapters, the author analyses the costs associated with the investment and operating costs of the Prusa i3 MK3S 3D printer and performs cost calculations for printing a product used in electronics, along with the comparison sold by the press of the manufactured product
Going Beyond Counting First Authors in Author Co-citation Analysis
The present study examines one of the fundamental aspects of author co-citation analysis (ACA) - the way co-citation
counts are defined. Co-citation counting provides the data on which all subsequent statistical analyses and mappings
are based, and we compare ACA results based on two different types of co-citation counting - the traditional type that
only counts the first one among a cited work's authors on the one hand and a non-traditional type that takes into
account the first 5 authors of a cited work on the other hand. Results indicate that the picture produced through this non-traditional author co-citation counting contains more coherent author groups and is therefore considerably clearer. However, this picture represents fewer specialties in the research field being studied than that produced through the traditional first-author co-citation counting when the same number of top-ranked authors is selected and analyzed. Reasons for these effects are discussed
Sharing cross-border capacities between electricity markets and reserve markets
Tato diplomová práce se zabývá problematikou sdílení přeshraničních kapacit mezi trhy s elektřinou a regulačními zálohami. Nejprve je definována přeshraniční kapacita a způsoby jejího stanovení. Dále je provedeno porovnávání způsobů stanovení přeshraniční kapacity NTC metodou s FB metodou. U porovnání je kladen důraz na identifikaci dobrých a špatných vlastností těchto metod. Práce pokračuje kapitolou popisující trh se silovou elektřinou a market coupling. Poté se přechází k hlavnímu zkoumanému problému v této diplomové práci. Jedná se o rozdělování přeshraniční kapacity mezi trh se silovou elektřinou a trh s regulačními zálohami. Cílem zkoumání je analyzovat možnosti dosažení optimálního bodu, tedy bodu, ve kterém je dosaženo maximálního užitku z obou trhů. Za tímto účelem autor analyzoval metodické přístupy pro sdílení přeshraničních kapacit popisované v nařízení EB GL. Zkoumány byly celkem 4 přístupy. Jelikož tato diplomová práce zkoumá oceňování přeshraničních kapacit u denního trhu, byl nejlépe hodnocený přístup metodou Market Based. Po vyhodnocení metodických přístupů, popisuje autor užívané metody ohodnocení přeshraniční kapacity. Jedná se o metodu Market Spread a metodu Stínové Ceny. U obou zmíněných metod je v praxi využívané linearizováni průběhu. V této práci je jedním z cílů vyhodnotit dopad linearizace na hodnotu užitku a jestli je rozumné ji využívat. Po teoretickém úvodu problematiky a vysvětlení nezbytných pojmů, provádí autor simulace v nástroji Simulation Facility. Simulace probíhají na principu redukování přeshraniční kapacity pro trh se silovou elektřinou. Výsledky těchto simulovaných trhů slouží k určení dopadu na ztrátu užitku a chování hodnot Market Spread a Stínové Ceny. Výsledky jsou zpracovány do grafů a diskutovány. Hlavní přínos diplomové práce je v prozkoumání chování oceňovacích metrik přeshraniční kapacity.This diploma thesis deals with the issue of sharing cross-border capacities between electricity markets and balancing market. First, the cross-border capacity and the methods of its determination are defined. Furthermore, a comparison of the method of determining cross-border capacity by the NTC method with the FB method is made. The comparison emphasizes the identification of good and bad properties of these methods. The work continues with a chapter describing the power market and market coupling. Then we move on to the main research problem in this thesis. This is the distribution of cross-border capacity between the power market and the balancing market. The aim of the research is to analyse the possibilities of reaching the optimal point, the point at which the maximum benefit from both markets is achieved. To this end, the author analysed the methodological approaches for cross-border capacity sharing described in the EB GL Regulation. A total of 4 approaches were assessed. As this thesis examines the valuation of cross-border capacities in the daily market, the Market Based approach had highest assessment. After assessing the methodological approaches, the author describes the methods used to evaluate cross-border capacity. These are the Market Spread method and the Shadow Price method. In both methods, linearization of the curve is used in practice. In this work, one of the goals is to evaluate the impact of linearization on the value of welfare and whether it is reasonable to use it. After a theoretical introduction to the issue and an explanation of the necessary concepts, the author performs the simulation in the Simulation Facility tool. The simulations are based on the principle of reducing cross-border capacity for the power market. The results of these simulated markets are used to determine the impact on the loss of welfare and behaviour of Market Spread and Shadow Prices. The results are processed into graphs and discussed. The main contribution of the diploma thesis is in examining the behaviour of cross-border capacity valuation metrics
Variations on the Author
“Variations on the Author” discusses two of Eduardo Coutinho’s recent films (Um Dia na Vida, from 2010, and Últimas Conversas, posthumously released in 2015) and their contribution to the general question of documentary authorship. The director’s filmography is characterized by a consistent yet self-effacing form of authorial self-inscription: Coutinho often features as an interviewer that rather than express opinions propels discourses; an interviewer that is good at listening. This mode of self-inscription characterizes him as an author who is not expressive but who is nonetheless markedly present on the screen. In Um Dia na Vida, however, Coutinho is completely absent form the image, while Últimas Conversas, on the contrary, includes a confessional prologue that moves the director from the margins to the center of his films. This article examines the ways in which these works stand out in the filmography of a director who offers new insights into the notion of cinematic authorship
Appropriate Similarity Measures for Author Cocitation Analysis
We provide a number of new insights into the methodological discussion about author cocitation analysis. We first argue that the use of the Pearson correlation for measuring the similarity between authors’ cocitation profiles is not very satisfactory. We then discuss what kind of similarity measures may be used as an alternative to the Pearson correlation. We consider three similarity measures in particular. One is the well-known cosine. The other two similarity measures have not been used before in the bibliometric literature. Dispelling the Myths Behind First-author Citation Counts
We conducted a full-scale evaluative citation analysis study of scholars in the XML research field to explore just how different from each other author rankings resulting from different citation counting methods actually are, and to demonstrate the capability of emerging data and tools on the Web in supporting more realistic citation counting methods. Our results contest some common arguments for the continued
use of first-author citation counts in the evaluation of scholars, such as high correlations between author rankings by first-author citation counts and other citation
counting methods, and high costs of using more realistic citation counting methods that are not well-supported by the ISI databases. It is argued that increasingly available digital full text research papers make it possible for citation analysis studies to go beyond what the ISI databases have directly supported and to employ more

We have done our best to complete the author checklist relating to the use of animals in the hut study. Note that the objective for the hut study was to evaluate the IRS treatment applications for residual efficacy against Anopheles mosquitoes, including the local An. coluzzii mosquito population. Cows were only used to attract mosquitoes into the huts and no tests were carried out directly on the cows. The author checklist is intended for use with studies where experiments are carried out on animals, which is why we have had such difficulty in completing this for the hut study, as many of the questions do not relate to how the cows were used
