Per percorsi innovativi si intendono gli strumenti digitali che sono stati inseriti all’interno dei processi aziendali, le soluzioni commerciali che hanno aperto nuovi modi di proporsi al mercato, la costruzione di storytelling contemporanei, l’ideazione di servizi a corredo dei propri manufatti che vadano nella direzione di nuovi modi di relazionarsi con i clienti. La ricerca vuole essere l’occasione per fare il punto sulle competenze che l’artigiano contemporaneo, inserito nel territorio ravennate e imolese, debba mettere in campo per rispondere alle esigenze e alle attitudini dei mercati globalizzati in cui il territorio limitrofo non è più il confine certo della propria azione lavorativa

    I maker space, la rete di laboratori che principalmente hanno coltivato la diffusione della manifattura digitale, si candidano nel prossimo futuro a divenire nodi territoriali nei quali fare incontrare l’impresa con le potenzialità delle tecnologie abilitanti. Non più unicamente luoghi di sviluppo di progetti destinati ai consumatori ma veri e propri centri di ricerca nei quali apprendere attraverso dei percorsi didattici e generare progetti in collaborazione con la propria rete territoriale. Se evidentemente sono necessarie adeguate abilità per riuscire a gestire (puntando alla qualità) un processo di apprendimento e rielaborazione delle informazioni fruite digitalmente allora queste abilità devono tessersi con il tessuto produttivo dei territori ai vari livelli. Il rinnovato maker space affiancherà all’azione fisica una digitale attraverso una piattaforma che sia luogo dove accedere a contenuti e contemporaneamente comprendere il processo virtuoso

    Through the manifestation of digital traces, the research demonstrates how it is possible to value behaviors and actions present in space at a certain moment, recalling them as echoes in subsequent temporalities within space. The contribution fits into the problematic of the contemporary city, the applied context being the Quadrilatero Malvasia and the Barca neighborhood in Bologna, where spaces are layered day after day with digital data produced by the space itself and the people who pass through it. Product design that delves into the urban dimension, exploring the relationship between digital data, space, and user behavior, are explored to reveal a variety of methodologies. Experimentation carried out by students working groups, in cooperation with the course in Advanced Design of University of Bologna and the local cultural association Fondazione e Innovazione Urbana, provides some original design directions for designers who venture to imagine new urban objects.Attraverso la manifestazione di tracce digitali, la ricerca mostra come sia possibile dare valore a comportamenti e azioni presenti nello spazio in un certo momento, rievocandole come echi in successive temporalità nello spazio. Il contributo si inserisce nell’ambito problematico della città contemporanea - il contesto applicativo sono il Quadrilatero Malvasia e il quartiere Barca di Bologna -, nei cu spazi si stratificano giorno dopo giorno i dai dati digitali prodotti dallo spazio e dalle persone che vi transitano. Le espressioni progettuali legate al product design che approfondiscono, nella dimensione urbana, la relazione dato digitale/spazio/comportamento utente, mostrano una limitata varietà di metodologie e di effettivi casi studio.     The chapter presents research on the relationship between the human body and the space implemented by data and digital interfaces. In this relationship, technology plays a mediating role. The research introduces the concept of a digital threshold to an interactive space that has the capacity to preserve the cognitive well-being of users and invite interaction. To do this, some characteristics are identified that can be used in the design with the aim of relating the body to the devices in the space. Pressure stimuli, rhythm, and body symmetry are the components of a natural language capable of activating a natural motorial reaction mechanism. The details of the experimentation carried out and the processing of the data collected through data visualisation are provided to support the argument

    Mapping design-driven processes for the regeneration of small fortified towns in inland areas

    The contribution aims to focus on and deal with a methodology of mapping, typifying and cataloguing selected design interventions based on the impacts that the various design disciplines are or have been able to induce at different scales of action in the contexts of small fortified towns, constituting the primary settlement cores of the so-called inland areas. The main keys of research, filing and reading chosen for mapping allow the infographic schematisation of study in a Cartesian diagram based on two primary axes. This analysis gives rise to reflections on the characteristics and processes that distinguish the object systems from research. The multitude of instruments that appear in the research underlines the partial coverage of the area of the specific project, which is characterized by the complex process that relates raw materials to the logistics of distribution by the systems and the companies based on cooperative platforms. Within this research area, this contribution aims to elaborate some guidelines for the development of these systems on the subject of welfare, the relationship between collaborative and cooperative forms and the future application of artificial intelligence in the assessment processes that are crucial for the design of innovative models of cooperative platforms for processes of product creation and management

    Relationship Between Human and Rhythmic Dynamics in the Digital Interactive Experience

    Digital information connects with humans through multiple modes char- acterized by time and space. The development of interactive digital experiences highlights the need to develop a design methodology based on knowledge of the relationship between body, time and space. The state-of-the-art research around the topic of rhythm shows how it can be a container of knowledge for design. Through rhythm, perception acquires sensory information and translates it based on experience. Humans are used to reading rhythmic elements in space and time and are naturally influenced by them. At the social level, communities and individuals relate through rituals that are repeated over time and are punctuated by specific narrative sequences. The effects of rhythm within the fields of sociology, perception, art, motor behaviors, and physiology, testify to this inextricable link. Starting with the analysis of case studies linking rhythm and digital information, the research attempts to understand the ways in which specific digital rhythms are naturally experienced by humans. Through a biomimetic methodology, the research proposes an investigation with the aim of understanding how some rhythmic forms can activate communicative processes with users, their memory or with real spaces. The research uses a rhythmic analysis of user experience based on Cartesian time/information visualization systems. The findings highlight how the rhythmic dimension expresses instrumental design directions balancing the pervasive relationship between information and humans
