Green Open Access added to TU Delft Institutional Repository 'You share, we take care!' - Taverne project https://www.openaccess.nl/en/you-share-we-take-care Otherwise as indicated in the copyright section: the publisher is the copyright holder of this work and the author uses the Dutch legislation to make this work public.Urban Development Managemen

Colloidal engines for innovative tests of information thermodynamics
Recent theoretical developments in information thermodynamics elucidated the link between the acquired information and the entropy production through measurement and feedback control by generalizing the fluctuation theorems and the second law of thermodynamics. We summarize here our recent experimental studies based on the colloidal system that have been conducted to test the theoretical findings of information thermodynamics. In particular, we present the design principles of error-free and noisy information engines consisting of a colloidal particle in an optical trap that is capable of performing nearly error-free measurement and ultrafast feedback control. Our perspectives on future experimental studies are also presented. ?? 2020 The Author(s). Published by Informa UK Limited, trading as Taylor & Francis Group

Analisis Konflik Tokoh Dalam Novel Pak Guru Karya Awang Surya
Analysis of Character Conflict in Pak Guru's Novel Awang Surya's work. Literary work as an imaginary, fiction that offers various problems of man and humanity, life and life. One form of work literature is a novel. Like other literary works, in novels there are conflicts too or problems that are often raised by the author to represent the idea exist in everyday life, with the above facts, the author is interested in conducted a study entitled "Analysis of Character Conflict in Pak Guru's Novel" Awang Surya's work". Research problems (1) How is the conflict of characters in the novel? Mr. Guru by Awang Surya? (2) How does the author express the conflict of characters in the novel Pak Guru by Awang Surya? This research uses qualitative approach with the type of library research and using the method descriptive. Data collection techniques through hermenuetic techniques. In analyzing the data refers to various relevant theories, namely using the Theory of Assessment Nurgiyantoro's (2009) fiction about character conflict and the theory of literary criticism development Indonesia Sukada (1993) on how the author presents character conflicts. Results The study concluded that the conflicts contained in the novel Pak Guru by Awang Surya is (1) internal conflict and external conflict. Internal conflict is a conflict that occurs in the heart, soul of a character or temporary story characters External conflict is a conflict that occurs between a character and something else outside himself, perhaps with the natural environment or perhaps the human environment. The internal conflict was experienced by the characters of Musa and Nasimah while the external conflict happened to the figure of Musa and the teachers of SDN, Musa and Mr. Sarkowi, Musa with Alfan, Musa with Bu Eni, Musa with Nasimah. (2) Author's way Presenting character conflicts analytically and dramatically. Analytics is the way The author describes the conflict of the characters in the story directly explaining the name characters and physical images while dramatic is in an indirect way, namely through conversations or dialogues described by characters when facing problem. The dominant character conflict expressed by the author is the character conflict analytically, because the author describes the story more provide direct explanations without dialogue. Then the author's way revealing character conflicts dramatically illustrated by dialogue directly between the characters contained in the novel Pak Guru by Awang Surya

Inequalities for connectivity events in Bernoulli percolation
This thesis consists of six chapters based on papers on probabilities events in percolationtheory.
• Chapter 1 is based on paper [GP24] written with Igor Pak. There we study colored
percolation, a generalization of the classical percolation model.
• Chapter 2 is based on paper [GZ24] written with Aleksandr Zimin. There we show
that bond percolation does not simulate site percolation.
• Chapter 3 is based on paper [G24]. There we study percolation inequalities and decision
trees.
• Chapter 4 is based on paper [GPZ24] with Igor Pak and Aleksandr Zimin. There we
disprove the bunkbed conjecture. The appendix proves the bunkbed conjecture for the
case of 2 transversal vertices and wasn’t published before.
• Chapter 5 is based on an unpublished manuscript written with Aleksandr Zimin. There
we prove multiple inequalities of the form similar to the Harris–Kleitman inequality.
This work generalizes and supercedes a previous paper [G24b] by the author.
• Chapter 6 contains an unpublished result related to the main body of work in the

Why infrastructure financing facilities often fall short of their objectives
To encourage the private funding and provision of infrastructure services, governments have used specialized financing facilities to offer financial support to investors, often in the form of grants, soft loans, or guarantees. The authors present case studies of infrastructure financing facilities in various stages of development in Colombia, India, and Pakistan. They also present case studies of government-sponsored financing facilities (not of infrastructure) in Argentina, and Moldova. They find that these facilities have often fallen short of their objectives for two main reasons. First, the environment was not conducive to private participation in infrastructure because of poor sector policies, an unstable macroeconomic environment, and inadequate financial sector policies, among other reasons. Second, the facility was faulty in design - in terms of sectors targeted, pricing of instruments, and consistency of objectives, and instruments.Decentralization,Banks&Banking Reform,Payment Systems&Infrastructure,Public Sector Economics&Finance,Municipal Financial Management,Municipal Financial Management,Banks&Banking Reform,Housing Finance,Public Sector Economics&Finance,National Governance
