Hauptsächlich solche von 1853, 1859, 1872-1878, 1930 und die mindestens 46 Ergänzungsbände zu diesem Werk, zwischen 1860 und 1935 in Spanien veröffentlicht. The author provides proof in the study of different Spanish translations or adaptations of the Officine (1853, 1859, 1872- 1878, 1930) and the at least 46 supplements to this work published in Spain from 1860 to 1935. Autism screening in children: using the social communication questionnaire in a Western Cape population
No full textAutism spectrum disorder (ASD) has a global prevalence of approximately one percent of all new births. There is a lack of literature on autism in South Africa. South African children are waiting years for diagnoses, despite the fact that early diagnosis and subsequent intervention appear to have a positive effect on the outcomes of the intervention. A screening device to detect ASD could be used to speed up the diagnostic process. This study tested the viability of using the Social Communication Questionnaire (SCQ) in a Western Cape state-funded hospital. This thesis describes Phase 1 of a larger study. The 40 item SCQ was adapted and translated into Afrikaans and isiXhosa. The English, Afrikaans and isiXhosa versions of the SCQ were administered to parents of very young children attending the Red Cross Children?s Hospital?s developmental clinic (N = 228, age range of children = 3.00-5.97 years). Positive results were that no relationship was found between age and SCQ score, or between SCQ language version and SCQ score were found. However there was a relationship between SCQ score and socioeconomic status, indicating a possible bias in the SCQ. Internal reliability of the SCQ versions was analysed and was satisfactory. The factor structure of the English SCQ was examined. Two and four factor solutions were explored, with the two factor solution proving the best fit with good internal reliability. This two factor solution reflected the recent changes to the Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders, as well as previous findings on the SCQ and the ADI-R, the diagnostic instrument on which the SCQ was based. Preliminary results of Phase 2 of the larger study were analysed. Eighteen children received an Autism Diagnostic Observation Schedule (ADOS) assessment;; the current gold standard for diagnosing ASD. SCQ scores proved to be a good predictor of ASD diagnosis, predicting 17 out of 18 individuals correctly. Further research on isiXhosa and Afrikaans versions of the SCQ as well as the predictive power, sensitivity and specificity and cut-off scores for the SCQ is recommended

No full textEn este Trabajo de Fin de Grado se aborda cómo la palabra poética puede trasponer el lenguaje fílmico, tomando como objeto de estudio Els ulls del falcó maltès de David Jou. Con el objetivo de demostrar esta relación interartística, se lleva a cabo un análisis textual de varios poemas, identificando temáticas universales que se relacionan con los filmes en los que se inspiran. El estudio se complementa con una entrevista al autor, que revela aspectos clave para la investigación y refuerza las ideas planteadas en el análisis. Se concluye que la relación ekfrástica entre el mundo de la palabra poética y el del séptimo arte, no solo es posible, sino que es más común de lo que se piensa. Asimismo, se pone de relieve cómo, a pesar de que Jou afirme que su libro surge desde la espontaneidad, su subconsciente evidencia lógicas coherentes de las que quizá ni él mismo es consciente.En aquest Treball de Fi de Grau s'aborda com la paraula poètica pot transposar el llenguatge fílmic, prenent com a objecte d'estudi Els ulls del falcó maltès de David Jou. Amb l'objectiu de demostrar aquesta relació interartística, es duu a terme una anàlisi textual de diversos poemes, identificant temàtiques universals que es relacionen amb els films en què s'inspiren. L'estudi es complementa amb una entrevista a l'autor, que revela aspectes clau per a la recerca i reforça les idees plantejades en l'anàlisi. Es conclou que la relació ecfràstica entre el món de la paraula poètica i el del setè art no només és possible, sinó que és més habitual del que es pensa. Així mateix, es posa en relleu com, tot i que Jou afirma que el seu llibre sorgeix des de l'espontaneïtat, el seu subconscient evidencia lògiques coherents de les quals potser ni ell mateix és conscient.This Final Degree Project explores how poetic language can transpose cinematic language, using Els ulls del falcó maltès by David Jou as a case study. In order to demonstrate this interartistic relationship, a textual analysis of several poems is carried out, identifying universal themes that connect with the films on which they are based. The study is complemented by an interview with the author, which reveals key aspects for the research and reinforces the ideas developed in the analysis. It is concluded that the ekphrastic relationship between the world of poetic language and that of the seventh art is not only possible, but more common than generally assumed. Furthermore, it is emphasized that, although Jou claims his book emerged spontaneously, his subconscious reveals coherent logics of which he may not even be fully aware
An algorithm for structural variant detection with third generation sequencing
No full textWe developed an algorithm to predict structural variants using long reads. We applied multiple signals including split-read, alignment mismatching and read-depth to identify structural variants in PacBio whole genome sequencing and found our results to be comparable to other structural variant detection algorithms. Many literary critics heralded the texts as new, exciting and of great literary value. However, a few members of the public objected to the texts' risque content and it was subsequently banned. Fortunately, the text's literary value prevailed and Sleep vir jou 'n stoel nader was removed from the list of undesirable publications. Andre Ie Roux's work is unique in that he based the fiction on his day to day experiences as a journalist. Because the book is controversial, it is necessary to outline the theoretical aspects, such as reception history, in the introductory chapter. The role of the critics in the reception of the texts is specifically studied as their reviews appeared mainly in newspapers and magazines. Most of the critics mentioned the fact that the collection of short texts had been banned and questioned the role of censorship in literature. These reviews (which are mentioned in the first chapter) have several shortcomings which are discussed in the third chapter. Several critics mentioned aspects of the different literary trends that are evident in the texts, such as Postmodernism, Realism and New journalism. Aspects of these literary trends are discussed in depth in the second chapter. The interplay between reality (the Huisgenoot-texts) and fiction (the short stories and poems) are carefully considered. The two related texts are compared and analysed, for example, determining which facts are present in the articles but are not utilised in the texts. This establishes the manner in which the author used and transformed these facts to create fiction..

These series are analysed to give theferromagnetic critical temperatures for the triangular lattice. Althoughuncertainties in the estimates are large in the isotropic region, there isevidence in favor of phase transitions in the spin一1/2 two-dimensionalanisotropic Heisenberg ferromagnets for all values of the anisotropy.

Activity and stability of thermally stable polyimide-supported Mo(VI) complexes for epoxidation of olefins
No full textFunctional polyimides have been prepared in a bead form by non-aqueous suspension polycondensation. Molybdenum(VI) complex has been supported on a functional polyimide bead containing a triazole group and used as a catalyst in the liquid-phase epoxidation of olefins with tert-butylhydroperoxide (TBHP), as oxygen source. The polyimide-supported Mo catalyst was highly active and selective, and has been recycled 10 times with no detectable loss of Mo from the support. ？ 2000 Elsevier Science B.V.
