Filosofia como ejercicio : la pràctica del diario personal en Enzo Paci

    No full text
Enzo Paci’s work consists of numerous unpublished texts which often comprise notes and journal entries. In those writings it is possible recognize that nearby the publishing activity of this author, we can talk about a true vocation of journal writer. Besides, the meaning of that passion for introspection is not an inferior or secondary expression of his philosophy, but it is determined as a true genre that could be called philosophical journal, where the question of the subject, which is founded on the phenomenology of Husserl, can finally join the biographical narrative of a man-philosopher who experiences life and at the same time reflects on it

Robotic manipulation experiments through visual feedback

    No full text
This paper presents an experimental study on the use of visual servoing for dexterous robotic manipulation. In the first step of the work, a mathematical model of the whole system has been derived, then a non – linear PID regulator with Smith predictorstructure has been developed. The feedback signal for the controller comes directly from the visual sensor. Some experiments on following with robot end-effector a moving target have been performed, showing efficiency of the control system. This work on visual feedback differs from other similar experiments mainly because the inner architecture of the robotcontroller is assumed unknown, i.e. the inner control loop of the robot has not been modified

    Crisi e krisis nell’apocalittica giudaica

    No full text
The widely – even if not unanimously – shared interpretation of Jewish Apocalypticism as a ‘crisis literature’, leads us to the parable known by the term and by the notion of krisis, and urges us to look at Jewish Apocalypticism, in order to prove the presence of a dialectic between krisis and crisis in its history. Jewish Apocalypticism, often defined by modern studies as a ‘crisis literature’, has one of its privileged loci in the link between the modern meaning of ‘crisis’ and the original meaning of krisis. What in modern days is usually defined by the word ‘crisis’, to the author of an apocalyptic text, like to its readers, appeared as the result of a divine judgment (krisis), which solicits a human judgment, according to modalities and intensities that vary between the various works traditionally ascribed to Jewish Apocalypticism, and between the different historical periods in which Jewish apocalyptic thinking unfolds

The effect of dietary guar on serum cholesterol, intestinal transit and fecal output in man

n six healthy subjects serum cholesterol was unchanged during a 2-wk period of controlled diet (2750 kcal) followed by a 2-wk period of free diet but showed a 16% decrease (p less than 0.05) during a further 2-wk period of controlled diet to which guar (5.7 g bid) was added. Stool weight, frequency and whole gut transit time did not differ in the diet periods with and without guar. Of guar ingested 82-95% was metabolized in the gut. Mouth to cecum transit of a meal measured by the hydrogen breath test in the same subjects was unaffected by the addition of 5.7 g of guar
