Modelli e bisogni formativi delle imprese artigiane : una ricerca empirica sul territorio del Piemonte
Full text linkLo studio sulla formazione nelle imprese artigiane piemontesi nasce dall’esigenza di capire qual è il rapporto tra apprendimento e lavoro in questo importante ambito produttivo, al fine di meglio comprendere come viene letto dagli imprenditori artigiani il concetto di capitale umano. Come evidenziato dalla letteratura, “il concetto di «capitale umano» si riferisce al complesso mix di saperi, competenze, attitudini personali, detenuti dall’imprenditore” o dai lavoratori
delle imprese.
Con la realizzazione di una ricerca empirica di ampio respiro condotta con un campione rappresentativo di tutto il mondo dell’artigianato in Piemonte si è indagato l’atteggiamento e il rapporto che gli artigiani hanno verso la formazione e quali sono le modalità che utilizzano per rapportarsi con essa; l’ indagine
è stata condotta nel 2009 su un campione di 400 aziende appartenenti ai settori più significativi: riparazioni, metalmeccanica, costruzioni e servizi alle imprese.
Sono emersi quattro differenti modelli di formazione legati ai tipi prevalenti di produzione artigiana individuati nell'artigianato d'eccellenza o di mestiere, nell'artigianato fordista, nell'artigianato low profile e nell' artigianato tecnologicamente avanzato. Ai diversi livelli di specializzazione degli addetti e al tipo di conoscenze prevalentemente impiegate nell’impresa sono risultati corrispondenti modelli di formazione delle competenze e del “saper fare” sino alle attitudini personali.
Inoltre complessivamente l’importanza della formazione per rendere più competitiva l’impresa artigiana piemontese emerge dal 66% degli intervistati che considera la formazione un rilevante
fattore di sviluppo, opinione condivisa soprattutto dalle aziende più grandi, il 76%. Nel triennio 2006-2008 ha partecipato ad attività formative il 53% delle imprese, le stesse che presentano
un fatturato medio-alto e si collocano in una posizione di performances generali più
positive. Tra quelle che hanno fatto formazione, il 24% è in crescita contro il 14% di quelle
in crescita senza aver investito in attività formativa. Risulta poi che il 51,6% vede la formazione
come strumento per un cambiamento strategico, mentre per il 48% è lo strumento idoneo a
migliorare l’adattabilità alle richieste del mercato e quindi a migliorare la qualità del prodotto.
Il modello più utilizzato è il learning by doing (imparare lavorando) e nell’80% delle aziende
intervistate i formatori sono il titolare o i soci.
Nel corso di questa ricerca uno sguardo specifico è stato poi dedicato alla formazione effettuata
o che occorrerebbe effettuare nelle imprese artigiane che operano nel campo del cinema
e della televisione. La scelta quindi è stata quella di cercare di produrre una mappa d’insieme
sulla formazione nel suo complesso alla quale si è affiancata un’esplorazione qualificata su
un promettente nuovo ambito d’attività per le imprese

No full textPresentazione del progetto di ricerca sulla formazione nelle imprese artigiane del piemonte. Si parla di formazione in azienda partendo dal presupposto che la conoscenza è divenuta un elemento strategico nei processi lavorativi e di produzione della ricchezza. La formazione, formale o informale, interna o esterna è un importante strumento di costruzione della strategia aziendale ed in modo specifico nelle imprese artigiane piemontesi e per questo va compreso a fondo. Alcune domande chiave costituiscono le linee guida di una ricerca empirica quantitativa in corso di svolgimento: chi fa formazione, su cosa si fa, dove la si effettua, quanta se ne fa, in che modo, per quali motivi, quali sono gli atteggiamenti culturali verso la formazione, che significato e che valore ad essa viene assegnato. L’output finale della ricerca consisterà in un report descrittivo che riporti i risultati raccolti e che proponga spunti di riflessione e suggerimenti alle politiche pubbliche
Going Beyond Counting First Authors in Author Co-citation Analysis
Full text linkThe present study examines one of the fundamental aspects of author co-citation analysis (ACA) - the way co-citation
counts are defined. Co-citation counting provides the data on which all subsequent statistical analyses and mappings
are based, and we compare ACA results based on two different types of co-citation counting - the traditional type that
only counts the first one among a cited work's authors on the one hand and a non-traditional type that takes into
account the first 5 authors of a cited work on the other hand. Results indicate that the picture produced through this non-traditional author co-citation counting contains more coherent author groups and is therefore considerably clearer. However, this picture represents fewer specialties in the research field being studied than that produced through the traditional first-author co-citation counting when the same number of top-ranked authors is selected and analyzed. Reasons for these effects are discussed
Variations on the Author
Full text link“Variations on the Author” discusses two of Eduardo Coutinho’s recent films (Um Dia na Vida, from 2010, and Últimas Conversas, posthumously released in 2015) and their contribution to the general question of documentary authorship. The director’s filmography is characterized by a consistent yet self-effacing form of authorial self-inscription: Coutinho often features as an interviewer that rather than express opinions propels discourses; an interviewer that is good at listening. This mode of self-inscription characterizes him as an author who is not expressive but who is nonetheless markedly present on the screen. In Um Dia na Vida, however, Coutinho is completely absent form the image, while Últimas Conversas, on the contrary, includes a confessional prologue that moves the director from the margins to the center of his films. This article examines the ways in which these works stand out in the filmography of a director who offers new insights into the notion of cinematic authorship
Appropriate Similarity Measures for Author Cocitation Analysis
Full text linkWe provide a number of new insights into the methodological discussion about author cocitation analysis. We first argue that the use of the Pearson correlation for measuring the similarity between authors’ cocitation profiles is not very satisfactory. We then discuss what kind of similarity measures may be used as an alternative to the Pearson correlation. We consider three similarity measures in particular. One is the well-known cosine. The other two similarity measures have not been used before in the bibliometric literature. Dispelling the Myths Behind First-author Citation Counts

Our results contest some common arguments for the continued
use of first-author citation counts in the evaluation of scholars, such as high correlations between author rankings by first-author citation counts and other citation
counting methods, and high costs of using more realistic citation counting methods that are not well-supported by the ISI databases. No full textWe have done our best to complete the author checklist relating to the use of animals in the hut study. Note that the objective for the hut study was to evaluate the IRS treatment applications for residual efficacy against Anopheles mosquitoes, including the local An. coluzzii mosquito population. Cows were only used to attract mosquitoes into the huts and no tests were carried out directly on the cows. The author checklist is intended for use with studies where experiments are carried out on animals, which is why we have had such difficulty in completing this for the hut study, as many of the questions do not relate to how the cows were used
